Hey here’s a video of a clone trooper saying “feet… mmm.” That I took way too long to capture on its own.
Happy Star Wars Day or whatever.
I actually played it. It was spectacular. It was also disturbing and gory, and unsuitable for kids. You know... EXACTLY LIKE IT SAID IN THE DOWNLOADS. Or the opening message. Or everywhere if you bothered to check what the hell your child does on the computer. This is a big issue, but what actually inspired my rant here is something else. It's when people say: "insert game/book/movie/etc containing themes of mental illness is harmful to young people. " Oh please. You know what's harmful? MENTAL ILLNESS. Since DDLC (Doki Doki Literature Club for those who don't have Google), or rather articles about it, inspired me to write this, I'll tell you some things about it. It dealt with depression, self harm, domestic abuse, and it accurately illustrated how isolation and lack of professional care can, in fact, kill. There was some other stuff about AIs and existential questioning too. Anyway, my point is: don't demonize a work of art dealing with mental illness. Dan Salvato and his team are not trying to kill your kids. They're making a story, and at the same time warning about depression and suicide. Mental illness is harmful. Remember that next time someone loses their life. TL;DR : READ THE WARNINGS. Just because it's animation doesn't mean it's suitable for everyone.
Ahsoka: Master, can you give me a hand Anakin: :) :) :) :)
Could you imagine?
There’s nothing like trying to take a picture of the bright, full moon to remind you how amazing the human eye is.
The Tintin fandom is 50% adult fanfiction and 50% talentless self inserts AND I DON'T LIKE IT
Gilad deserved better
I want to see how much of the fandom still cares about the original Thrawn bae. <3
Kyoko has a lot of reasons to be absolutely livid after learning the truth about witches, but what must have hurt the most is that her father’s accusation of her being a witch is actually true.
BADASSES
There’s a team of women in India who bring justice to the oppressed women of their country. ‘The Gulabi Gang’ wear pink saris, carry bamboo sticks as weapons, and are trained in counter- aggression techniques, like smearing abusive men with chili powder. If police fail to help an abused woman, the gang steps in and asks the husband to change his ways- but if he won’t, they ask his wife to join them in beating him.

Can we just admit already that authors writing stuff like guardian-ward turning romantic, teenage brides, too old men lusting after young girls (even if they are portrayed as villains), just don't do it for the sake of historical accuracy ? The author just knew their story wouldn't cut it in a modern setting and found one where it's easier for the reader to turn a blind eye.
1800's London? 1500's Japan? The shipping sheep will gobble it up as long as it's romantic (blergh) enough and it doesn't get too close to their modern sensitivities. Not to mention the (hopefully) small group of people who are actually, with full awareness into that stuff and you can sometimes see them dropping the pretenses entirely.
Let's use Occam's razor for a second. The author isn't writing for accuracy. They wrote that stuff because THEY LIKED IT.
Disclaimer: YES there are stories that portray these issues for the sake of commentary and critique. How to tell them apart from the borderline pedo material? They're not in the YA romance section.
For when you wanna make your way downtown faster
A car whose radio ONLY plays 1000 miles by Vanessa Carlton. If you attempt to change the channel, you will be ejected from the vehicle.
Remember back in episode 2 where Towa still had her tomboyish personality with these darker undertones (she nearly broke a dude's arm in one of the MANY fights she got into) and after she got back to the feudal era she did a 180 and turned into textbook purity Sue?
Just look at this:
I remember seeing this line and thinking she'd make an amazing anti hero protagonist alongside the other two girls, but no. Her character development was just thrown out of the window.
