I want boopies for the Boopmageddon
Children in Gaza endure unbearable conditions, facing violence and preventable diseases caused by contaminated water, such as diarrhea and poisoning. Obeida, the young son of Sami, faces daily risks as he collects water from a distant source, endangering his health and safety.
Your donation can make a real difference. By supporting Sami's family, you will help provide clean and safe water, reducing the risk of diseases and ensuring better health and well-being for Obeida and his family.
Donate now to make a difference. This family has been vetted and listed as (#21) Sami Alkhlili by Gazavetters.
Thank you for your support and solidarity!
Duolingo Sucks, Now What?: A Guide
Now that the quality of Duolingo has fallen (even more) due to AI and people are more willing to make the jump here are just some alternative apps and what languages they have:
Busuu (Languages: Spanish, Japanese, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Korean)
Language Transfer (Languages: French, Swahili, Italian, Greek, German, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, English for Spanish Speakers)
Pimsleur (Literally so many languages)
Glossika (Also a lot of languages, but minority languages are free)
*anecdote: I borrowed my brother's Japanese Pimsleur CD as a kid and I still remember how to say the weather is nice over a decade later. You can find the CDs at libraries and "other" places I'm sure.
Mango (Languages: So many and the endangered/Indigenous courses are free even if you don't have a library that has a partnership with Mango)
Transparent Language: (Languages: THE MOST! Also the one that has the widest variety of African languages! Perhaps the most diverse in ESL and learning a foreign language not in English)
AnkiDroid: (Theoretically all languages, pre-made decks can be found easily)
AnkiApp: It's almost as good as AnkiDroid and free compared to the official Anki app for iphone
lingory
ChineseSkill (You can use their older version of the course for free)
Bunpo: (Languages: Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Korean, and Mandarin)
Okay, so...in sight that I've FINALLY gotten a new phone after many years I decided to download Genshin Impact. I literally just started playing today and I need tips ( ಥ‿ಥ)
This is for the random few who run into my posts: if you have any advice for me, I'll appreciate

First thing you see after you zoom in is how you die
How you dying 👀
To anyone that may read this;
If you ever find yourself feeling insecure about the way that you look and, much like myself, compare yourself to anyone that you might think looks more attractive; I'm about to tell you something that my mom told me once.
She told me that it didn't matter how I looked, someone in the world was bound to be attracted to me someday.
She told me that I shouldn't make myself feel less attractive than anyone because when we all die our skin and flesh will rot away and we're all going to look exactly the same "just a heaping, old, dusty pile of bones".
She told me that she would remind herself about that whenever she was feeling unattractive and it made her more confident about herself over the years.
I hope this helps someone the way it's helping me today.
