Buddy looked up at Leon as if the American had just suggested to take a ride on the children’s merry-go-round – which probably was only a matter of time before he did.

Leon shrugged and strolled off, leaving Buddy and his wheelchair next to the large Christmas tree that was the literal highlight of the small Christmas market. Buddy rubbed his cold hands together as he gazed up at the sparkling electric candles that illuminated the tree. The Slav was glad that there weren’t as many people around. Not only did he enjoy the quiet, it was also much easier to navigate the narrow aisles. And although he didn’t really need Leon pushing him, when the blond had insisted right from the very beginning, Buddy couldn’t really say anything against it – he was pretty sure Leon would have done it even if Buddy would have continued complaining.
