All the VKs speak multiple languages due to the fact that the Isle is a cultural melting pot, because even villains care about their culture. Most people speak 3-4 languages fluently, it is one of the advantages the VKs have over the AKs.
Everyone knows at least 2 languages fluently.
Everyone knows random words and phrases from languages they don't speak.
The most common languages are English, French, Chinese, German and Arabic
The least common are Faire Speak, Latin, Greek and Atlantican due to the lack of speakers on the Isle.
The Pirates know the most languages out of everyone because their parents wanted them to be able to travel anywhere. They also know Atlantican, Greek, Latin and Faire Speak because Uma, her cousins/siblings and the Hook Siblings taught them.
Freddie and Celia speak French and Creole
Most VK’s just speak their parent’s language as a first language
i have a little collection of websites i tend to use for coming up with ideas, naming people or places, keeping clear visuals or logistics, writing basics about places i've never been to, and so on. i tend to do a lot of research, but sometimes you just need quick references, right? so i thought i'd share some of them!
Behind the Name; good for name meanings but also just random name ideas, regardless of meanings.
Fantasy Name Generator; this link goes to the town name generator, which i use most, but there are lots of silly/fun/good inspo generators on there!
Age Calculator; for remembering how old characters are in Y month in Z year. i use this constantly.
Height Comparison; i love this for the height visuals; does character A come up to character B's shoulder? are they a head taller? what does that look like, height-wise? the chart feature is great!
Child Development Guide; what can a (neurotypical, average) 5-year-old do at that age? this is a super handy quickguide for that, with the obviously huge caveat that children develop at different paces and this is not comprehensive or accurate for every child ever. i like it as a starting point, though!
Weather Spark; good for average temperatures and weather checking!
Green's Dictionary of Slang; good for looking up "would x say this?" or "what does this phrase mean in this context?" i love the timeline because it shows when the phrase was historically in use. this is english only, though; i dig a little harder for resources like this in other languages.

Hi, what do you think of this ship?
For context, this is Aladdin’s daughter and it was mentioned that Aziz was the eldest child in the 3rd novel, and I saw this middle eastern girl in D2 that might as well be Aladdin’s daughter so I just give her a name and personality.
it’s really cute, I love the meaning of Jamilah’s name
These are all my opinions, if you get mad, please argue with the wall instead of me, I am sensitive. <3
Same cast in my ideal version
CW: swearing, mentions of sexual themes, cannon abuse/violence

No matter what anyone tried to tell you, no one from the Isle can ever consider themselves fully good. Everyone who has survived the Isle has done so because they've done something at bare minimum morally gray to survive.
Dead body on the street? Take their clothes. They don't need them, and it'll help keep the warmth in during the winter.
Robbing a house and there's food cooking? Take all of it - the person you're robbing clearly has ways and means of acquiring more, otherwise you wouldn't be robbing them.
Your boss demands more than you can physically give and is threatening you with death? It's gonna end in your death or his, and is that really a choice?
Your sibling/lover/best friend is sick and dying, and someone can trade you the medicine but are demanding a favour like murder or grand larceny? Buckle up buckaroo if I'm staying in this hellhole you are too.
No one on the Isle is 100% good. They're too jaded and traumatised to ever be able to believe in other people enough to be good. Everyone ends up manipulating, cheating, sacrificing others just a little to ensure the comfort and lives of their inner circle. It's accepted on the Isle, but bizarre in Auradon.
