I think the reason why nine is my favorite doctor is the realness that the character has. He has such despair yet it doesn’t stop him from connecting with the people around him. Obviously it’s beat to the ground about the Father’s Day episode where he says that the most ordinary people are the most important, but it just highlights his deep compassion and hopefulness that the other doctors lack for me. A guilty solider finding his way back to normalcy. It’s truly a beautiful story and I wish they would’ve continued it a bit in at least tens story.

Thomas sleepily sipped on his coffee, trying not to burn his tongue, whilst he made his way to the office. It was only when he reached his door that he felt himself wake up a little more because he could see that his door was already ajar. 　　"Mr Winters?“ the professor questioned as he stepped into his own office. Chris spun around in the ‘guest’ chair that sat in front of Hunts desks and stood to greet him, hand out. "Hi Tom, long time no speak” 　　The professor glanced at Chris’ hand and then back up to his smile and without a shred of emotion, he briskly walked behind his own desk and placed down the coffee and folders that he had been carrying. Chris was clearly confused and a little embarrassed by the situation and pulled his outstretched hand back into his pocket before spinning on the spot 180 to face Hunt. 　　"What do you want?“ he asked, and sat down in his chair, not once taking his eyes off of Chris. I honestly don’t get what she saw in you, he thought to himself as he remembered catching a glimpse of an article about how Chris and Hope had been spotted in Italy and Las Vegas on various dates. 　　"What makes you think I want anything?” Chris quizzed and rested a hand on the seat in front of him, he no longer felt comfortable enough to sit down. “Winters, it’s 8:00am and you’re in my office; in fact you’ve probably been here a while already?” he glanced at his watch and back up to Chris. “The cleaner may have let me in at around 7:00am, you’re slacking Thomas. I assumed you’d be here!” Chris scoffed. 　　"Yes. Well. I had a busy night and felt I deserved the lay in…“ before he could finish, Chris interrupted, "Yeah so I heard, and that’s why I’m here.” Hunt felt a blush creeping up through his face and he started to fidget with his cuffs, Perhaps Hope has already told him. Maybe he was with her when I called. They have been dating in the past after all. This film might have brought them back together again. It’s probably for the best. Though I’d rather she hadn’t told anyone about our phone call and texts from this morning. 　　Chris took the professors silence as an opportunity to sit down and continued with his point, “Basically, how much will it take for you to not do this film?” 　　Thomas couldn’t quite believe what he was hearing from Hollywoods so called Golden boy, “What makes you think I’d be taking over from you?” he questioned. 　　"I got a phone call from my agent late last night, apparently you’d contacted Holly during our rehearsal yesterday to let her know of your return to the project" Chris replied and Thomas didn’t know whether to be relieved or disgusted. Relieved because Chris obviously had no idea that he had called Hope last night, but disgusted in that he seemed to think that the professor could be bought. “I am doing this film, Chris. Find another way to woo your cast mates.” 　　"Excuse me?“ he couldn’t believe that he had said it himself to be honest, making assumptions like that were the mother of all fuck ups and Hunt should know better than to draw conclusions from nothing, but he couldn’t stop himself. That picture he’d been sent had really got to him, in fact everything about Chris Winters, got to him. Maybe it was an old rivalry from being in the same industry, or a new rivalry over a young woman? 　　"I don’t know what your problem is with me Hunt, but you’ve been nothing but rude since I arrived..” he went to raise his hand in protest to speak but Chris wouldn’t allow him to interrupt, “No, you listen to me. I don’t know what Hope has told you about us, but I would never hurt her intentionally. We have a good relationship and it won’t effect her studies.” Thomas started to blush under Chris’ strong gaze, 'of course he doesn’t think you fancy her,’ he thought to himself, 'It hasn’t even crossed his mind as a possibility.’ “To be honest, I’m actually a little surprised to think that you would even assume that someone as grounded as Hope wouldn’t be able to handle an on set romance as well as her studies. Because I can tell you this now Hunt…” 　　Thomas interrupted Chris mid flow, “That’s enough.” he couldn’t take anymore. The way Chris was talking was incredibly suggestive of a relationship between the two of them. He knew better than to immaturely take a job away from someone out of jealousy and greed, especially when it was clear to him that he wouldn’t be preventing a relationship from taking place if it was already happening in front of his eyes. 　　He dreaded the thought of having to kiss Hope on set and then see her walk away behind the cameras to Chris Winters, who would be waiting for her while he watched them act. 'He is closer to her age after all. Who am I now anyways? I haven’t been in front of a camera in a very long time. Uncomfortably so.’ he continued his nightmare in his head as he awaited Chris’ reply. 　　Chris shifted a little before talking calmly, “You’re right.” Hunt took himself out of his nightmare daydream and focused on Chris. “What do you mean?” he asked sternly. “I only want this job to woo Hope and that’s not professional. It’s also not a good reason to be a part of this project and I can’t commit 100% to a film that I’m not actually interested in.” 　　"So you and Hope…you’re not?“ Hunt paused, keeping his expression stern. "An item? Unfortunately not no, and if it makes you happier to know that I won’t be distracting one of your star pupils, I don’t think we ever will be. That boat has long since sailed, though I fancied the chance.” 　　He couldn’t figure out whether Winters’ was bluffing or if he was just being brutally honest. Now he thought that neither of them should be involved in the film, although at least Thomas was interested in the script itself. 　　"I’m sorry to hear that.“ Hunt spoke dishonestly. "However, the reason for my rudeness is due to the fact you came in hear with dishonest intentions. I’m not stupid Chris, don’t ever try to buy me again. I’m not that kind of guy.” 　　Chris stuttered and blushed as he realised his mistake, “I’m not normally either Tom, trust me on that. I just…She makes me do crazy things you know?” he looked at him pleadingly, as though looking for some kind of understanding in how he could possibly be feeling. 　　"I would never let someone change who I was, no matter how much I wanted them.“ Thomas stated. "Please leave.” he finally took his eyes off of Chris and began to shuffle folders unconvincingly, he needed him to leave as soon as possible. 　　Before he could finish his thoughts, he heard the door shut firmly and looked to see the shadow of Chris Winters, slowly sigh and shuffle away from his office. Hunt could feel himself physically shaking as a knot rose high into his throat; he felt so charged and full of negative energy, that he didn’t know what to do with himself. 　　Without realizing, he had curled his left hand into a fist and slammed it down into his desk, leaving a small crack in the wood and an incredibly painful set of knuckles. 'Arghk.’

The fact that he did this before sending her off, he thought this would be his last chance to even give her a forehead kiss💔💔💔

Tech week. Hell week. The week that made even the most experienced directors, actors and technicians tremble in fear. Ajay hadn’t gotten much sleep (any sleep, if he was being completely honest with himself) the previous night, so on Monday morning he was already running on fumes. He had a tumbler (that really more closely resembled a bucket) full of coffee, and it wasn’t even his first of the day when he got to the theatre at eight am.

His only saving grace was Emily, the stage manager who was criminally peppy for a Monday morning. She didn’t have to start calling cues from the booth yet, so she was at the table in the house with him to discuss lighting and sound options. He stifled a giant yawn behind his hand as he waited for everyone to arrive.

Ajay settled into his new desk at the front of the theatre, happy to be off his feet for the first time that day. It had been a brutal shift at the coffee shop, but now he got to go back to doing what he loved the most: directing. He stretched his legs out under the table and flipped open his copy of the script. He’d written down the previous director’s rudimentary blocking in the margins, along with a few edits he felt were prudent.

Footsteps on the theatre’s thin carpet alerted him to another presence. Without looking up, he addressed whoever it was.
