The Weill Cornell Medicine commencement was held earlier this month where a medical graduate from Gaza used his time on stage to condemn the university and its leadership for their complicity in the genocide on Gaza and implored his fellow graduates to stay true to their oath and stand with the hundreds of healthcare workers who have been killed by the IOF. In response the university have done everything they can to minimise this young graduate from speaking truth to power from his own graduation records by cutting away from him during the ceremony’s livestream and erasing his time on stage in the released footage.
i feel like we can’t talk about international women’s day without talking about the women in Palestine, Congo and Sudan . Please continue to boycott, continue to speak up and spread word because we can’t celebrate women without acknowledging the innocent lives lost because of senseless violence
Part so good I had to check who sang it on color coded lyrics
Happy Pride Month
This fundraiser belongs to Shahad, who is trying to evacuate her family of 7 from Gaza. Shahad is in her third year of dental school, but due to the ongoing genocide her studies have been interrupted. Like most families in Gaza, Shahad's family has lost everything. Her dream is to escape the horrors of the genocide and continue her education abroad.
Shahad's fundraiser is legitimate and it is low on funds, with $6.4k/40k. Please reblog this, share her fundraiser with others, and donate what you can. Every little bit helps, and with the situation in Gaza worsening by the day, time is of the essence.
Displaced children have been forced to seek makeshift shelter in chicken coops after their tents succumbed to flooding. This tragic reality evokes painful echoes of history, reminiscent of the deplorable conditions endured by Jews during the Holocaust, confined to horse stalls and sleeping on wooden shelves never intended for humans.
The phrase “never again” lost its meaning shortly after World War II, as the world witnesses a disturbing repetition of past atrocities. Despite solemn vows, the world’s involvement in supplying arms only exacerbates the suffering of the oppressed. It serves as a stark reminder that complacency and inaction pave the way for history to repeat itself.
