Palestinians are being portrayed as dirt poor and unsanitary and so very desperate -thus leading this part of the world to see them -at best -as mere unlucky souls. 2/ And it's become normalized here to see these unlucky souls as sacrificial lambs in pursuit of some idealized greater good. Usually an illusion, and through a Western lens. 3/ Palestinians are threatened, harassed, detained, tortured, maimed, and killed by the Israeli occupation. This has been the case for decades while most of you looked away. You don't get to look back in now just to run a sad story that makes you feel good about yourself. 4/4
