There’s a reason this salt dough recipe is the first thing in my grimoire. Very few tools have been quite as versatile as this. I have made offering bowls, a measuring spoon, a deity statue, runes… and I could go on.
Salt dough is wonderful for witchery because you make it yourself, it’s cheap af, you can make it with things you steal from the kitchen while you’re stealing McCormack herbs (don’t lie, you know you’ve done it), and it’s salt based which is like the witchiest of witch things.
The small discs on the page are my latest idea, which is outlined in the second note on the page. I mixed dried herbs into the salt dough, formed discs, let it dry, and now I’ve got these portable little magic herb discs. The ones on the page are basil and powdered sugar for drawing wealth at work. But the possibilities are endless. If you can make an herb sachet or powder, you can probably also make it a salt dough disc.
Witch tip: set these out on a dish to dry by your window to give it all that good sun and moonlight.
Oracle Cards!
Who doesn’t love a good Oracle Card reading? Everyone loves tarot, but there’s a lot of stuff to remember! With Oracle Cards.... well there’s still stuff to remember, but it’s much easier if you......
Make them! ✨✨
You will need:
Thick paper or cardstock
Paint (optional: glitter paint!!)
Drawing tools
Scissors
Your fucking imagination!
Cut your cards out of the cardstock in any size you want- they just gotta be uniform- and in any number you like.
Now for the fun part: Draw the image, write a message, a bit of both! Use that big, beautiful imagination! Use it!! They can be part of a theme, random, whatever you want.
Paint it, color it, etc. I used glitter paint because why the fuck not? Once you’re happy, turn the card over, and paint the back. They can be uniform or unique (Unique ones you can have people draw blindly or choose one they’re drawn to).
Let the back dry, and bam! Oracle Cards! That you chose the meanings for!
Here’s a few of mine; they’re based on Tolkien’s Valar:
Create some beautiful cards and do some readings!
thank you for the pics of your silmarillion deck!! they’re so cute! can i ask how you decided on what messages to put on the oracle cards?
Hey sure! Basically I read that book like seven times and tried to think on their ‘purpose’ in Arda. They were out there for a reason. Some were easy (Manwë, for instance). Some…. I struggled (Melkor). But in the end, they all had lil messages, and they worked.
Hey guys gimme some asks! I'm ready for the challenge!
You left out the best part- they named it Taquito.
i'm crying rn.... the fucking Torta.....
I see a lot of people who wonder what they do with their spell jars or the remains of a spell when it’s run its course. The answer is.. not simple, but not complicated.
There are three methods of spell disposal that I think work the best:
Reuse: if you have any things like stones or beads, I recommend cleansing them, and then using them elsewhere. But you have to cleanse them!! Their energies will get muddled, and the poor things will get confused.
Throwing them away or recycling: things like plants and herbs can be thrown away- biodegradable and all that. But things like glass jars?? Recycle that bitch! Thank each component for it’s service, and then throw it away.
Burning: IF SAFE TO DO SO burn your spell. Throw the ashes away.
Anything really that isn’t putting it down the drain or burying it! That’s not safe for the environment, don’t do that.
I find that working one at a time is best, if you’re kinda busy, and tbh, runes are pretty easy to learn. Once you get the hang of runes, move on to tarot; it’s like paper runes!
Hope it was
Helpful ✨
So i feel like runes are calling my name and i want to learn about them... but im also still learning tarot and i have a long way to go.
Fellow witches, any advice? Should i study both at the same time or is it best if i learn tarot first and then runes? Whats your experience?
Thanks in advance, blessed be ♥

Altars are the space where a witch practices their craft. It can hold a good deal of things, divided in any way that a witch sees fit. Some divide by directions, some by deities. Some divide by a way known only to them it’s up to you!
Let’s take my altar for instance:
All my witchy ingredients tucked safely underneath
My cauldron; a square clay pot I made in junior year
Lots of offerings on the right side of my altar
Things to represent the faeries I work with on the right
My wand
Decorations for Beltane
A couple specialty items
My altar will look completely different from yours, or even someone who works different from you!
Set your altar up in a way that makes you feel the most comfortable!
Darth Sauron 2.0! When the Final Battle occurs, Mairon is blinded by Olorin’s lightsaber! Mairon, now Sauron, uses the Force to see the future, and to tell where people are.
Otherwise he just memorizes a room layout.
