Ingredients That Are Eco-friendly, Pt 1

Ingredients that are Eco-friendly, pt 1

Hi, and welcome back to a new witchcraft post! I saw you guys really liked my post on spell disposal, and I wanted to make a post on some fabulous ingredients that are

Eco friendly ~

So here is part 1! The obvious one, herbs!

Ingredients That Are Eco-friendly, Pt 1

How to dry Herbs!

I think we are all in agreement that herbs are literally the most common of all spell ingredients, but you’d be shocked at how much people pay for a jar of dried herbs (or at least how much my mum pays at the grocery store)!

My family actually decided to start growing our own herbs, like thyme, lavender, sage, basil, oregano, rosemary, etc. Of course, my family being Christian, they used them for cooking.

But no matter what you do, cook or spell, an herb’s at its most potent when dried!

So how do you get from fresh herbs to dried?

Cut your herbs! Cut with plenty of stem, and don’t take too much, only what you will need for now. Make sure you thank that plant for its help, and give it a drink!

Take a bit of string and wrap one end around the base of your stems, so the herbs hang upside down.

Tie the other end to a hanger or a window hook, or a curtain rod. I hang mine in mostly darkness, my mum does it in mostly light. I recommend the mostly darkness method; my mum’s always turn out funky. I tie my bundles to a hanger in my closet and let them do their thing.

Wait 1-2 weeks, or until mostly crunchy to the touch. Not crispy, but crunchy.

Now you’re done! ✨✨

Have a magical day!✨✨

Just ask them! No one knows the Fae’s reasons better than the Fae!

Fae Help

After talking it out with a friend, we realized there are a lot of signs of the fae around me, and they’ve been happening as long as I can remember. To my knowledge none of it has been malevolent, mostly just neutral. Does anyone have any idea how this might have happened and what they might want?

It’s all a matter of respect- respect the fae, they’ll respect you!

Do some research- see if this is a path that you could work with. THEN work with actual fae, because once you start, it’s like the mafia- you never get out.

I’ve always been super curious about working with the fae, but I’m also terrified from what I’ve heard. 😬

Hey it’s me again, from the fae post. Just wondering if you still do free readings and if you do, I would love to know if there are any fae around me that would like to reach out or maybe around me in general? I do tarot but I’m not great at it.

My initials are SB

Hey there! Sorry it took so long, but here’s your reading!

Hey It’s Me Again, From The Fae Post. Just Wondering If You Still Do Free Readings And If You Do, I

Strength, upright: inner strength, bravery, and compassion.

The Moon, upright: unconscious, illusions, and intuition.

The Ace of Swords, upright: breakthroughs, new ideas, mental clarity, and success.

Overall, it looks like should you find the courage to take that first step, there will be faeries willing to speak with you. You’ll have to use your gut to tell you if these fae are trustworthy, but in the end, you’ll find these fae open to conversation!

So if you must know, I’m part Czech. My father was raised in a town split 50/50 Italian and Czech immigrants and their descendants. He married my mum, who was a very impressionable beginner chef, and once she discovered this specific combination of spices from his mum, she put it in most of the food I and my family ate- and I would add that no one banned freaking GARLIC or ONION, or BASIL, which I ALSO used a lot of.

Here’s the combo:

Salt (always)

Black pepper (duh)

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Basil

Paprika- smoked or sweet, it don’t matter, depends on the dish.

There you have it- go get paprika banned at your houses!

Well, I go across like a book. Like reading a paper! You can go in whatever order makes sense to you (weird huh I’m of unpopular divination opinions).

Deck Interviews and why they are Important!

Hi guys, it’s Mai, and I happen to have a special post today!

Today we will be learning why deck interviews are important- for tarot and oracle cards. You see, every deck is different. Even tarot decks. Even mass produced decks! Each deck has its own individual personality, and I don’t think a lot of people realize this.

Each time I get a new deck of any divination card, I conduct a simple deck interview:

Deck Interviews And Why They Are Important!

(Thank you @dailygrimoire for your wonderful spread; they also have a great post on bonding with your decks!)

As you interpret the cards, write it down, like you’re writing a paper for work or school. You’ll find it’s easier to understand when it’s not “reversed magician, upright 3 of swords?? What????”

Remember, each deck is different. My Silmarilion Oracle deck is a very pessimistic deck, but it gives you straight facts. My demonic arcana deck (by @crimson-chains and @kaizuart ) is very eager to please, but might try too hard sometimes.

(But seriously go look at the art for the demonic arcana deck it’s gorgeous)

I learned these things about my decks by asking them. You won’t get anywhere with them without making an effort!

Sigils: How-To’s and Where-To’s

(Pt 2)

Hello hello! Today we’re going to talk about the preferred method of sigil making for my dear friend. They have severe ADHD and autism, and struggle with focus- either hyper focused or unable to focus.

They prefer this method for its ease and organic feeling. The method I speak of is:

The Abstract Method!

The Abstract Method is a very artsy way to make a sigil. It’s incredibly easy.

First, you’re going to pick the thing you want your sigil to represent. I’m going with “protection” again.

Next, look at the word. What does it mean to you? FEEL where the lines go, how straight they are or how they curve. Everyone’s will look different, since words mean different things to different people.

Example:

Sigils: How-To’s And Where-To’s

Feel free to use mine (with proper credit of course), but don’t be afraid to make yours look completely different from mine! Feel your way through this method.
