25 Days of Draco and Harry 2020 Information Post

Because it just wouldn’t be December if I weren’t running this, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be hosting 25 Days of Draco and Harry again this year. For those who may not be familiar with this challenge, I have included the detailed rules at the end of this post. You might want to read them first, so that you can understand what the rest of this post is talking about. And for the loyal fans of 25 Days of Harry and Draco: In 2020, we will be doing both Early-bird and Traditional prompts as usual. Again, we’re running on LJ, DW and tumblr – the rules will be the same as last year. I have two announcements and I hope you’ll be as excited as I am! First, given life right now, I’ve decided to make the early bird prompts available earlier than ever before. This year, early bird prompts will be available no later than: Sunday, October 25th!! That gives writers a full 5 weeks and some change to work on their posts. Second, there is going to be a Discord server specifically for 25 Days of Draco and Harry participants. The details are being worked out – but this will be a place where early bird participants can discuss (in a room just for them) the prompts and how they might use them. Traditional participants will join the general section of the server in December. More on this later.

Title: It’s A Whole Beautiful Mess Creator: Anonymous Prompt: #167 Career Theme: Draco - Healer (Emergency Department) | Harry - Stay-at-home Parent Rating: General Warnings/Content Notes: Domestic Domestic, Fluff Romance, Family Family, Established Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter, Adopted Children, Family Dynamics, Potter-Malfoy Family, Digital Art Summary: Draco Malfoy is a healer and his life is already full when he move into a new apartment, only to discover his neighbor Harry Potter is in a complete chaos due to having adopt two newborns. After founding out his profession, Harry knocking on his door for every little thing about the twins became the normality, so much that Draco had to admit that in the end he was not upset at all. In fact, he ended up spending more and more time with the little family and eventually fell in love with Harry. Art Medium: Digital Creator’s Notes: This prompt was just too cute to pass on it! When I read it I immediately think I wanted to draw the babies so I tried to make a big, nice illustration that show all the mess and cuteness the way I imagine it.

i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

southern europe is burning. 

my country is burning.

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?
