group living is beautiful and it’s about having a compost named marty and making dinner together and late night cups of tea on the couch with good books and sharing thrifted CDs or ones from the library and going to the park together in the morning before work and hugs when you get home and a household zine collection/obsession and sharing soaps and journals and making brownies together and dancing in the kitchen and planning a network of gardens between other people we know in the city and scrabble nights and teaching each other how to mend and cook and building each other nightstands and helping sew quilts and sliding books under bedroom doors and sticky notes with jokes and laughing in the sunshine outside of the laundry mat
So excited to go to my local garden festival next week!
Weird and Beautiful plant I bought today. I love him and he is my son
in another life im a swaggy white boy making out with my bf in the gas station bathrooms
Shout out to all my fellow gardeners who have a sloped yard, no heavy machinery, a limited budget, a job that takes up all your time, pets that can’t be trusted, children too curious for their own good, health issues that prevent you from getting out as much as you’d like, soil that seems to have been hit by a nuclear bomb, or any other common gardening problem. Remember, it’s the job of influencers to be constantly creating new garden projects, don’t let it make you feel insecure. If you grow one plant—or if you even try to grow one plant and fail—you’re still gardening. 🌸🌹🌺🌷🌻🌼
Some pictures from my local flower festival today
So excited to get back into DIYing this summer
Added some chains to my vest 💪
After this, I'm patching her up big time! Probably gonna get some fabric marker doodles in there too
Things were blooming.
I am trying to choose to hope.
I am choosing to imagine public transportation.
Grocery stores with attached soup kitchens to decrease food waste.
Neighborhood meal- and garden-sharing programs.
Green spaces connecting to other green spaces.
The rainforest ADVANCING, churning up dry soil and turning it dark and healthy.
The sky filled with birds and the sea with fish, their populations increasing.
The air and water clean.
Emissions-free vehicles on roadways, with speeds governed, and safe streets for tricycles, bicycles, dogs, deer, and stray soccer balls.
Solar panels on every public building, over every parking lot.
Beehives and wildflowers on the open berms between roadways.
The total lack of gunshots around the world, and instead the sound of shovels, digging holes to plant fruit trees by public sidewalks.
