being single in your late 20s & 30s is so fucking wild bc on one hand it's fun and flirty and you skip a lot of the bullshit because you know what you're looking for and you know how to spot a red flag from a mile away and you've learned to set boundaries and communicate your own and be upfront about your needs and most of the time they've learned it too - and if they haven't, you can tell after the second date that they haven't been to therapy
and every time you feel lonely and dried up and an ugly husk there's a whole community of other single people out there who are just as unhinged and want to hang out with you because they just need a plus-one like you do and you get introduced to like. people in their 60's and 70's and 80's who are all like - nope, single life is my choice and i love it and you feel warm and seen and like okay, it's not the end of the world if i'm not seeing anybody. and yeah it's hard and sometimes exhausting but part of getting better is that you do make like so many friends and do so much wild shit because you made a promise to yourself that you'll actually get out there and try shit and actually work on your hobbies and skills and friendships because to be honest in relationships you wouldn't push yourself this hard and it's actually been super rewarding because it came from you and from what you wanted
and yes of course the apps such and dating in general can suck but after one of the bad dates you go back to your apartment and call up those friends you made and make jokes about what the other person said and it rolls right off your back and you have plans for self-care in the morning. you prioritize yourself and your happiness and you really actually don't mind it, a lot of the time, unless it's like at a wedding and they're doing one of those couples-related things. most of the time it's not even a problem except when you can tell people pity you for it and you're like - i'm actually fine, babe, even without a partner i am still, like a person and yes of course it would be nice to have a partner but you have established yourself as a person and as an adult in a way that feels really hard-won and well-earned and you're protective of that and of the life you're living and honestly you're pretty happy, all things considered
and at the same time you do have to tell your father that you are single on purpose right now and that, yes, believe it or not, they're letting women be single past the age of 30 these days without burning us at the stake (can you imagine!) and you have to kind of sit pretty while people make jokes about how you're losing your marriageability and you're like, a little too old for the bars and the clubs and whatever but you do still want to go out dancing and it's like. the other day you went to a board game party and had the time of your life and then your mom calls you and says she's worried because what if you never find the one, shouldn't you be spending more time looking? and you're like - trying to balance this place where you're actually, like, perfectly okay? except you hear this thing over and over and over - oh no. that's so sad. i hope you find your lover. and you weren't really upset about it until someone suggested that you're running out of time and until someone said that it's so miserable that you live without someone to kiss and you're like why can't anyone believe that i'm genuinely happy. like. joy. like. bliss.
and then they look at you and they look at their partner and the look passes between them that says - poor thing. you're just lying to yourself about this.
The sincerity of this just punched me in the gut. Dayeol is not even mad about the poor treatment he received from Taehyun.
He rather sees the boy with trust issues and just wishes that Taehyun learns to open his heart one day.
As if that isn't pure love right there. To understand and try to move on, while wishing them the best. With genuine intentions.
Dayeol had every right to be angry but he chose not to.
Do you ever just go "Life 😭💔😔🤡🤮"
But then you realise you're a My Day & just "Life 😍🥰😘💜💙💚💛"

no i dont think women starving themselves and reconstructing their entire faces with makeup and plastic surgery is feminism and female empowerment
okay but why does Tinn look absolutely gorgeous when smitten but I am staring at my crush I look like an absolute idiot
# tinn being completely & utterly unaffected by gun
in my school president (2022), episode 2 ( part 2/? )
I think it was very smart on Tinn's part to give the garland to the other band during the competition, because not only did it help him keep up the façade of friendly-bantering relationship he has going on with Gun, but also helped in boosting Gun and his band's confidence (because of the audience vote). Also, the fact that other contestants would not blame him for "favoritism", since they had seen him interacting with the band before the competition.
Like, the boy knows that he is not that close with Gun to help him in any other way than the whole tsundere thing.
Also, how has Gun not noticed Tinn's crush??? LIKE BOY, he's a blushing mess around you, how have you not noticed???
as a shy introvert who not only joined but also worked hard to excel in public speaking events so that my crush notices (we didn't end up dating but whatever lol), just going to say that watching Tinn going out of his way for Gun hits different.
Beside it being a funny scene, it's just refeshing that women are shown with flaws, that they not always have to be perfect.
I will never get over how Pai always skipped art class and never learnt anything about architecture but still goes above and beyond to help Sky with assignments.
Episode 11 | “Have you ever thought that I might be worried? Please understand how worried I am of you.”
A round of applause for Fort please, please. This is probably the first moment that I really felt heartbroken for Prapai. He’s so goddamn worried. He still doesn’t know fully what happened to Sky, so all his assumptions are based purely on his own imagination. He was worried, but also immensely hurt, but he also cares too much about Sky to make him feel guilty about it. So you can see how conflicted he is in this moment, trying to reign in his emotions. He’s angry out of concern, but he doesn’t want to take it out on Sky in the slightest.
Oh, Thailand, you have no idea how snow works and I love you for that.
are we going to ignore the fact Sky's neck was clean at the start of ep3 but has a hint of a hickey later on??
so Rain (and everyone tbh) totally ignore that evident mark on Sky's neck?? And Sky is sporting it so casually??? like???? it's no big deal?
Meanwhile Prapai is not even trying to hide? He's face literally screams "whipped"
Ofc from the trailer we know something happened between Sky & Prapai in ep2 in the race venue.
DID SOMETHING HAPPEN TO THEIR STORY IN EP 3 TIMELINE?? CUZ THAT BRUISE!!!??
But when are we going to get Sky & Prapai's story?? Just when????
What did you wish for? For me to be in this universe as long as possible
Puen allowed himself to fall in love because there was no paparazzi, toxic fans or any invasion of privacy in Pakorn's life unlike his own. There could be other reasons (perhaps a scandal that could negatively impact his career?) he never dated before. Being Tess & Tun is nice. They get to work & party together. They're practically inseparable most of the time.
I'd like to know Tun's life in the other universe
Talay knows the honeymoon phase will end. He is determined to go back. He is not going to be in this if temporary. He wants to see if he can maintain his relationship even after they return. They will have different jobs, schedules & unfulfilled dreams to chase once they go back. He doesn't want to be unprepared in case their relationship is unable to withstand it all.
Trust me. Your life won't be the same.
(This is very vague without context but going with the flow of this post) Talay knows it's going to be demanding & challenging. He knows being boyfriends as Tess & Tun is easier than being Talay & "Tun" aka Puen. He is still going to enjoy it while it lasts, because it's smooth sailing here. They will only be met with storms on returning.
Talay knows it might not work out. They don't have anything but memory & attachment to hold them together in the real world. Here they have work & common friends (Fuse x Aou ship yayy). Top it all there will be other external obstacles. Talay let himself go with the flow because he didn't have to proactively chase dreams as Tess. He was living the life of a spoilt brat. The Talay in the real world has his aspirations as priority. This is a bittersweet acceptance of "it was good while it lasted"
Once in your lifetime, you had me
They will return to the real world without Talay knowing who "Tun" is. They will miss each other. Talay will try to compensate for a lingering presence. An echo. He has shared songs, tastes & smells to keep him company. Puen on the other hand knows EXACTLY who he is looking for in this world. But how will he look for him? For someone who fell in love with his clingy vulnerable ass when he himself didn't show enough self love. He was too scared to accept his identity to a romantic partner, the most intimate relationship of his life. He was scared his identity will ruin things. No one can ever love him like that. Talay loved him like the sea (his name lol) . Fierce like the tides yet calming like their sound.
They will never open their heart again. This time, because it has no room for anyone else. They will try to live with memories, fail to move on, and desperately look for each other once the yearning gets unbearable.
This is going to be long, buckle up.
This might be a hard pill to swallow but hardly any lasting relationship can be entirely healthy.
Call it what you want but unexplainable attachment, shared past/trauma is what works to keep people together when rationality fails (and emotions aren't rational). Sometimes you stay together just because you're used to being around each other. Familiarity is comfort.
Sure, Hira is touched when Kiyoi steps in while he gets bullied but the unexplainable attachment is his attraction. Hira hated going to school since day 1. He stuttered like he dreaded on the first day of school & was ready to get bullied. Kiyoi walks in late with carefree strides & draws attention away from Hira much to his relief. He looked like everything Hira was not. Popular, confident.... Attractive. For the first time Hira is helplessly attracted to someone. Watching Kiyoi was an incentive to go to school. This helps Hira endure the bullying. Since he had decided Kiyoi is unattainable, loving him felt safe. There was distance, no fear of rejection, no shattered expectations. Hira subconsciously associates Kiyoi with his will to wake up & continue going to school, continue living daily life when he had no one to come home to.
Initially Kiyoi is weary of Hira's intentions. Hira gives off an impression of a weirdo, a sore loser, a stalker. Kiyoi softens gradually as Hira keeps his secret safe. For the first time someone wants nothing from him. Hira loving him from a distance seems so selfless that Kiyoi can't help but find it cute. So he subconsciously associates Hira with unconditional love & admiration. Kiyoi wanted to be a celebrity for the exact same reason - to witness the adoration he saw in Hira's eyes. Something he had in his own eyes for those on TV.
As time passes, Kiyoi sees the downside. Hira likes his imaginary version of King Kiyoi & not the attention starved Kiyoi. He is indeed a fanatic & his religion/God is Kiyoi the mere mortal. Kiyoi is torn between attachment & his need for acceptance at this point. He's heartbroken that Hira refuses to see through him. After all the drama that happens, these scenes are a turning point.
This is Kiyoi finally communicating his needs for once. He admits that he wants to melt into Hira's embrace only if Hira will NOT act like a devotee but as his boyfriend. Yes, Hira is selfish. He wants to feel safe so he decided it was goodbye after Kiyoi kissed him & said see you again. He chose to ignore the endearing tone of stalker. It's obvious even without context that Kiyoi meant "Yes you're gross & annoying. But I love putting up with you, Idk why. So please stay around me."
These Hira scenes with Hira as top are especially meaningful. It not only shatters the stereotype of the ruder character with heavier built topping, but also shows the true essence of the characters. (This is has nothing to do with who is more dominant/ submissive in the relationship!!) Kiyoi wanted to feel loved, cared for & pampered. And Hira wanted to do exactly that. To give Kiyoi the attention he craved for.
Hira pins Kiyoi down. It's like he's bringing him down from the pedestal he put him on. Hira is letting himself express his desires. As for Kiyoi, he's finally feeling safe being vulnerable with the one he yearned for. The ending is symbolic of a new beginning. It's 2 people choosing to put aside their perceptions of each other & start looking at the other as an equal. Look at each other beyond appearance & image.
This is Kiyoi accepting Hira. Notice how he never talked to Hira in public in the past? They barely talked even if they were together in isolation back in high school.
But now, he's clingy IN PUBLIC. It's Kiyoi saying "Yes Hira you are extremely gross to the point I question why I love you. But I love you regardless & I am willing to accept even your most disgusting form."
Hira can come across as a creepy stalker to others but he's Kiyoi's beloved stalker.
Puen & Talay falling for each other & not at the same time is so bittersweet.
They've practically grown attached to the person they don't entirely know even after a year together.
Puen knows Talay's dreams as a colorist, that he dislikes all but bacon pink. He has a sweet tooth. Plays guitar. Sings well. He's very sincere and serious when it comes to people & emotions. But he doesn't know why he gives mixed signals to his obvious flirting. Why he's so determined to push him away. He has no clue why such a ball of sunshine is cynical about love. Puen knows a lot about Talay's details like name & birthday. The fact that his entire life as "Tun" has started revolving around Talay isn't helping him at all. The possible reason he's keeping secrets I've mentioned here.
Talay can't accept a person he doesn't know. He has seen Puen be his most vulnerable self. Sure he might be confident, independent & flirty. But ultimately he's just a clingy baby around Talay. He's playful, lively. There's hardly any dull moment with him. Talay finds himself naturally drawn to him. He subconsciously observes everything this "Tun" does.
But the guessing game hurts. Sure, he's falling for "Tun" the playful, clingy & sensitive boy at his core. But how can he accept someone whose name he doesn't know. How will he find him once they go back. What will he do if they don't go back to together. If he's going to date, he's not going to waste time unless they're in it for the long run. And that also means Talay needing preparation to adjust to Puen's schedules & fame.
Communication can solve the problem. However the problem is also their fear of losing each other after initiating the difficult conversation. This is a classic trope for falling for a best friend except, they do not fall under any label at this point.
I'm sorry, Rain is in a bad mood
Isn't it obvious (that I'll help you)
Just Sky being a protective, helpful & sulky bestie 🥺💙
The unhygienic trinity 🤣
The fact that Puen still goes by "Tun" with Talay despite spending months together hints a bit of self disgust.
It's like Puen is jealous of his own success. Initially he must have been genuinely concerned about privacy. From literally the second day it's evident that Talay does not know much about films or actors. He couldn't guess his name. Even a casual fan would have guessed with those hints.
Celebrity disease is unlikely considering Puen's personality in the real world. However, Puen's actions can still be justified saying he doesn't want to be idolised.
Since the series hasn't ended, it's worth speculating if he has a suspicion if who Talay is. Here's a theory.
Think about it. He met Talay, love at first sight, not once but twice, by fate. Puen could've obtained Talay's contact from a crew member. On reaching out, he must have met Tess in Talay's body who might not have responded well. There's a chance it made him sad enough to get drunk & the next thing, he's met with an accident. But now. Now he meets Talay in the alternate world. Some dots vaguely start connecting. Now he needs to ensure his fame doesn't get in the way. He wants to see the real Talay.
Even this intention can't be justified as of ep6 considering how much they have endured together. They know each other's likes, dislikes, about Puen being done with his fame, about Talay's dreams & fears.
Puen is just fucking scared of rejection at this point & nothing else. It's been so long, revealing himself now would shake things up no matter what. So he hides behind excuses such as scriptwriting to justify his flirting. Sometimes he doesn't even give a decent answer.
It really makes me wonder if he's even interested to go back to his real life at this point. Maybe he likes to be Pakorn with loving parents & friends like Up, Aou & Talay as Tess who he can hit on without worrying about others. He now has a community of people who travelled universes. No one puts him on a pedestal.
He's terrified of his own fame. Worried that it will create distance. That Talay will stop looking at him as an equal.
He must have encountered a lot of people trying to take advantage of his status. He's probably unsure if he's indeed loveable as the whole person he truly is. He could also be afraid his celebrity status will just hurt the ones he loves if both return to the real world.
He needs to have faith in Talay's capability to love him, to accept him as a playful clingy boy who's also a public figure.
He's hidden himself for so long, grown to love Talay so much with time.... that now if Talay can't accept him as a whole.... He'll be heartbroken much more than before. And worse, Talay will be too.
Gifs from @namchyoon & @petevegas post
I can't help but wonder if these similarities were intentional.
Let's look at the couples. Both are facing a shared problem. Pat Pran are sick of their controlling parents. Puen Talay are trying to cope with the untimely demise of Joob.
Pran & Talay have a fear of patterns. Pran is afraid of his mother forcefully transferring him again. His high school heartbreak is unhealed. He's afraid that every time he gets close to Pat, fate will split them apart.
Talay has a fear of abandonment. Just a week ago Up & Aou went their separate ways. Puen disappeared entirely. Top it all Fuse & Kita graduated before him. Hardly had Friend Credits re-united when Joob passed away. His fear of abandonment resurfaced.
Pat & Puen themselves didn't have it better. Pat had gotten scolded by his father for prioritising the play over rugby. He also had to cope with his father's betrayal which caused him & Parn to be star crossed lovers.
Puen too was mourning the loss of Joob. The one in whom he saw a maternal figure. Even his own fears were likely to be triggered watching Dol regret holding back from confessing until it was too late.
Puen & Pat exhibited immense strength by not only standing tall, but also by holding their partners from collapsing.
Pat could have simply asked for a break or ended it altogether. Because from the looks of it, they both were financially dependent on their families. Instead of being practical or reckless, Pat asked Pran to run away with him until they could come up with a solution. A solution that would let them continue holding each other's hand.
Puen too, could have done anything. Confessed impulsively, cried or remained silent. He himself was shook & unsure of his fate. Moreover watching Dol regret must have added to his own insecurities. But he mustered up his last ounce of courage & confidence to reassure Talay.
"Can I hug you to sleep all night?" In this case was not "I'm in love with you" or "I will protect you" but rather a reassurance that "I'll still be holding you after you sleep & wake up. I will never disappear on you ever again. I won't abandon you."
"when death// takes my hand// i will hold you with the other// and promise to find you// in every lifetime ~ commitment, rupi kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers”
PS it's funny is that Talay technically looks like Pat & Puen like Pran in this alternate universe given the casting....like you know what I'm saying right 😂😂

Soulmates. Better half. Portkeys. The love of your life. CMBYN & Vice Versa's plot at their core are essentially these aforementioned concepts.
Call me by your name is inspired from Plato's Symposium. In Greek mythology, humans were originally four-limbed, two-faced creatures; split apart by Zeus and condemned to spend their lives looking for their other half.
According to Symposium, one's quest for a female or male half depends on the nature of their original being. The relationship between the halves is subjective, but is ultimately companionship.
However, when one meets their other half, be it a lover of youth or a lover of another sort, the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy, and would not be out of the other’s sight, as I may say, even for a moment.” This is the highest form of love — “the people who pass their whole lives together; yet they could not explain what they desire of one another.”
"Call me by your name and I will call you by mine" implies that "you and I" are one being that was separated. Now Talay & Puen share parallels to Oliver & Elio.
Puen and Talay are going through something similar (as of ep 6) The duo find themselves naturally drawn to each other, but they do know what they desire from each other. They briefly even feign ignorance.
As for the concept of portkeys, it once again refers to the idea of 2 people who are destined for each other. Like a match made in heaven.
Puen is carefree like Oliver. It is very evident from his confidence when he says things like "I kissed you because I wanted to" or "I should simply marry my colorist then"
For a non believer of love, Talay treats love sacredly. He's quick to draw boundaries & teach Puen that love cannot & should not be faked. He's cautious, sensitive to language & doesn't take things for granted, just like Elio. Puen revealed himself to Pang in the first meeting but not to Talay who was practically joined to him by the hip on most days. Talay tries to hide his envy by telling Puen to get close to Pang by calling her his prospective portkey. This is parallel to Elio's jealousy over Chiara. And his attempt to objectify her to strike up a conversation with Oliver.
Although most Call Me By Your Name ends with Elio getting a little more cynical, here's to manifesting that Vice Versa will end with Puen feeling a lot less lonely & Talay losing his cynicism about love.
PS Call Me By Your Name is set in a town by the coast & a lot of scenes are on the beach. Talay happened to drown while playing at the beach. Not to forget his name itself means "Sea" (And the actor's nickname IRL is Sea lmao 😂)
(Some of the above information was sourced from Vox)
All this cuteness & STILL it's the J Dent toothpaste product placement that got me lmao🤣🤣🤣
rewatching the vice versa episode and still trying to cope with the fact that puen really imagined a whole ass scenario where talay moved in with him.. like he really said 'if we lived together we'd be watching movies and i'd make popped rice for you. then i'd use your hand to feed myself, and you'd use my hand to feed yourself, and i'd suggest we ate something else, and you'd say we should get ready for bed. then we'd brush our teeth together, and you'd put toothpaste on my toothbrush, and i'd basically call you my boyfriend, and i'd very much want to kiss you'
and talay was basically like 'cool story, bro, but that sounds like we would fuck at the end'
MEANWHILE IM JUST SITTING HERE YELLING AT MY SCREEN LIKE PUEN WANTS TO MARRY YOU TALAY WHAT'S NOT CLICKING
Your cheeks give me cute aggression ~Puen
Is Fuse actually pretty or is it just me? 🥺
A common Thai superstition is that a virgin lady can prevent rains for the day by sticking lemongrass upside down into the soil under an open sky. This ritual is called ปักตะไคร้ bpàk dtà-krái).
FOR THE HIGHLIGHT if it indeed does not rain then the one who performs it is a true virgin. (Now is this scene supposed to mean something?😂)
Tho? Aek? Natsu? LEON?!!!
Now if they doesn't give a proper cameo THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES 😭😤
He's my boy
Do you have a boyfriend?// Ask me in your next life
I won't let anyone take you away from me
Can I fall deeply in love with you?// Yes
To me, you're precious
Rain does not know anything about this, right?
If you're still running in my mind, I won't let you go// If you think I'm just a toy, stop it// If not so?// Daydream?
If you want to leave, you know what to give me// Whatever you want, take it
Sky & Prapai (love in the air, pilot x official trailer)
You know what? If you want to leave, you know what you need to give?// Whatever you want, take it.
You. You're still single.
Is it clear that I'm flirting with you?
Just because we have clothes on, doesn't mean we didn't have sex.
Why'd you hit me?// You were sleeping showing your abs// You teased me
