Hiii do you know when chap 3 of so you came back is gonna release? The story is really interesting 😊
Aaaaaa, sorry for the late reply! I didn't see that someone had asked me something.
And to answer your question, I'm planning to post somewhere around next week - cuz right now, the chapter's at 2k words and I haven't reached the point where I'd like to end it yet.
Btw, I'm glad your enjoying the fic so far. That means a lot to me.
Ok, so i know that we already established that hellspawn hates harumi with a burning passion. But i need more than that.
How is their dynamic?
Does harumi still tries to "connect" with her only for her to retort with an impressive amount of sass for a 4yo? Does she think of how when all of this is over she will bash that brat's head into a wall?
Does hellspawn cling to her daddy's leg and give her death glares in every possible situations? Does she try to prevent any "romantic" moment/chemistry between the two?
And after harumi is revealed and the ritual "failed" is she going "I told you so" to literally everyone? Does she try to comfort lloyd saying stuff like; "you can't be sad because of her daddy thats what she want" or "there are far better possible mommies out there" or maybe even "im pretty sure she snores in her sleep anyway"
And lastly will there ever be a situation (maybe in s16?) That suddenly golden blond hair becomes long platinum braids, eye color becomes one she saw in the mirror every day, and even the scared look on her face became suddenly painfully familiar as harumi watched for mere few seconds as the green ninja's daughter image was replaced with her younger self
I have to say...that this is by far, my favorite ask from you.
I think Harumi would still try to connect with her, even though their dynamic is initially , 'seemingly nice princess tries every possible way to make a wary child as comfortable as possible in her presence' — I'm saving most of the sass for s16, when hellspawn's only sees this woman as a psycho.
But for s8, (at first) it's more like she's clinging to Lloyd's leg looking visibly uncomfortable. She knows that something is off, but she can't tell what. The ninja don't see anything wrong, and neither does Lloyd. Maybe she's shy. Or maybe the princess' makeup is scary. That's probably why she's acting like this.
Then in Dead Man's Squall, we get to see the death glares thing, which Lloyd reprimands her for when they're alone. The other ninja think it's cute because it just looks like she's jealous of the attention the princess is getting. And when Lloyd tries to stand beside Harumi in the control room, hellspawn reaches for his hand. She doesn't like it when her father and the Harumi are alone in the same room and FSM does something feel off.
But fortunately, after Dread on Arrival, Lloyd finally apologizes to her for dismissing her suspicions. We get to see some father-daughter comfort after that but it's mostly hellspawn doing the comforting because her dad just got himself some trust issues and a broken heart.
"And lastly, will there ever be a situation (maybe in s16?) That suddenly golden blonde hair becomes long platinum braids, eye color becomes one she saw in the mirror every day, and even the scared look on her face became suddenly painfully familiar as harumi watched for mere seconds as the green ninja's daughter image was replaced with her younger self."
YOUR MIND. OH DAMN, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT
To answer that one, there should be. I hate Harumi's redemption arc in crystalized but it would be nice to see this lol — especially because, now that I think of it, hellspawn does look a lot like Harumi. Even though this woman's prepared to make this girl's dad's life a living hell and throttle his midget, I can see this happening. Maybe these two could get into a situation where Harumi has to choose whether to save this child or let her die. Or maybe the Overlord needs her for something — she was created with Lloyd's Golden Power, you know. Gosh, I love this. Thanks for the idea!
also ‘you could stay’ ?
Time-travel fic where after Misako leaves her young son at Darkley's Boarding School, she meets a familiar-looking teenager on the way back. The teen looks startled upon seeing her — as though they've actually met before, which is odd, because Misako can swear she's never even once seen him.
After a while, the teen then introduces himself as Montgomery — which surprises Misako, because that's her last name. So they talk a bit, and Montgomery tells her a made-up story I haven't decided on yet, but it's just to make it seem as though he has nowhere to go. This causes Misako to say he can stay with her for a few days, and Montgomery agrees.
Misako then takes him to her home, all while noticing how interested Montgomery seems to be in where she's been living with her son after Garmadon got banished. During his stay there, Misako spends most of her time researching the prophecy, desperate to find a way for it to just be words on a scroll. One day as she does so, Montgomery notices a photograph of her with a young child that looks a lot like him, and asks whether that's her son.
Misako is very startled at the question, and hesitantly nods. Montgomery then comments that he hasn't seen any children around here. Misako replies that he's at school, and that it's a boarding one. Montgomery merely raises an eyebrow at her, before pointing out that the boy looks too young to be on his own. Inwardly, Misako can't help but agree with that, yet she still calmly states that he'll manage. At that, Montgomery goes quiet, which surprises her. However, Misako does not question it, and merely goes back to her research.
As the days pass, she notices how interested Montgomery is in Lloyd, and how often the teenager tries to question her about her son. He asks Misako all sorts of things, like whether she's writing to him and when she's planning to take him home or visit him. Misako manages to dodge the questions though, saying it's only been a few days since she's sent him there and he needs to learn to be on his own instead of having her coddle him. Another thing she notices is how much Montgomery resembles her husband, but she brushes the detail off as just a coincidence. And speaking of Garmadon, Montgomery also asks a lot about her husband as well.
Eventually, the day Montgomery's supposed to leave arrives and he does so without even trying to stay any longer. After he leaves, Misako shifts all her attention to her research to find a way to save both her husband and son, and this goes on for a while until one day when she....
....gets a call from Darkley's headmaster telling her that the son of Garmadon is missing.
Misako goes frantic. How could he have disappeared? It hadn't even been a week since she'd left him for FSM's sake!
However, some time later, there's a knock on her door. Startled, she opens it, only to see little Lloyd standing there with no one else in sight, and no luggage with him other than a stuffed toy which she doesn't even remember getting him. Upon seeing her, little Lloyd starts crying and reaching for her, telling her about how mean the other kids and even the teachers had been to him.
It nearly slips her mind to ask him how he even got back home in the first place, but eventually she does. And that's when her heart drops.
The fic ends with Misako deciding to officially take little Lloyd out from the school and bring him back home, promising to never leave him again. How could she have even done that, she thinks. How had that even crossed her mind?
Hellspawn would totally ask Lloyd where her mother is especially at a young age. He chokes whenever she asks.
Absolutely, lmao.
It's bad enough that it was her favorite kids show that started the question. And after her young mind pieced together that a 'mother' was basically a female version of someone who took care of you & spent time with you like your dad, she wondered who that was to her.
Obviously Misako was too old, and Pixal didn't have a physical form yet so she never really interacted with her often. Only Nya was left, but then she remembered that Nya was Aunt Ni and not Mommy.
So one day while they were all having lunch on the bounty...she decided to ask Lloyd.
And boy was he unprepared for that question.
Eventually, Cole just decided to awkwardly tell her that she's a special case and her dad is literally also her mom—which led to her soon asking why she doesn't call him mommy. Kai cheerfully told her that she could if she wanted to and Lloyd immediately kicked him under the table after that one. Zane suggested that Lloyd just tell her the complete truth and after a "I'd rather get possessed again" and some convincing, Lloyd finally agreed to tell her he made her with his powers.
After somewhat absorbing that, she asked whether she could have a little sibling—no surprise there. The rest of the team spent at least fifteen minutes laughing at the look on Lloyd's face.
Man... having the talk with her one day is definitely gonna be something.
Not me rewatching pirates vs ninja and laughing at the fact a four-armed guy and his reptile army got locked in the bounty's brink by some pirates — said four-armed guy's the demigod son of the first spinjitzu master, what the heck is going on—
Does hellspawn make new friends at school?
Do they go on cute misadventures together?
So far, the idea is that she'll be friends with a boy named Luke, and they'll cause a lot of shenanigans as she ages...and give Lloyd some well-deserved heart attacks (Kai's laughing about karma right now)
One time she and Luke basically just snuck off during a field trip to the zoo and they freed a baby elephant, which made its mother go vicious mode — to this day, Nya is still wondering how the heck did they even do this. I mean...to be fair it isn't as bad as her father releasing tribes of snake people but...really? I can't have even ONE rational person in this family?
And at first when she joined her class, there were a few kids that pointed a lot at her red eyes and found them creepy. Well...Lloyd actually showed them red eyes when he found out and basically just showed them a younger pic of himself to tell them that yeah, the Green Ninja they idolized used to have red eyes too so it doesn't mean that she's the spawn of Satan who eats children for lunch. ( "cries as I remember that she is still called hellspawn" )
👏👏👏 @emisnt2
When your dad who have a lot of issues got turned back into a teenager and have amnesia (fic by @namelysane )
When Lloyd and hellspawn go out do they have to put on disguises? Do they also put on like contacts or something? Does hellspawn love dressing up or does she hate it?
Initially, Lloyd never really saw any need for that because he never once took her out with him after she was made...spawned?
Keep in mind this was after the Final Battle — a.k.a back when Lloyd had to show up to ceremonies all over Ninjago and was busy as heck. On the days when he was on break, he always spent them at Garmadon's monastery and never left because he was desperate for some peace and quiet while trying to take care of her. The furthest he even went with her was just outside the monastery.
And yeah, maybe also because the thought of wearing a disguise didn't cross his mind at the time. Sigh.
(Garmadon, teach your son how to shapeshift. i'm begging you.)
At Zane's funeral, they just passed her off as a distant cousin of Jay's from Edna's side of the family. And then the team split, leaving Lloyd to spend nearly all his time at the monastery during the first few weeks contemplating things to the point he really needed a distraction.
So the only one he was left with was Nya, who was basically like: Put on a hoodie and take her out to the park. The weather's good.
Lloyd: But you guys told kid me i looked terrible with my hood up.
Nya crosses her arms: That was Kai.
Lloyd, sniffs, looking away: Whatever. Still hurts a year later.
Nya, lets out a sigh: Lloyd—
Lloyd: Not happening. It'll make me look like a kidnapper.
Nya looks at him warily: What kind of movies have you been watching, again?
Lloyd pretends he didn't hear her: Or maybe I could grow a moustache.
Nya stares at him: I'm going to pretend you didn't just say that.
Lloyd: But I'll look good—
Nya: I'm disowning you.
Lloyd: I was joking!
Nya: Just wear a hat. I'll even buy you one.
And so, Lloyd went with a fedora and green contacts to cover his red eyes & started taking her out more often — with Nya occasionally tagging along. It's mostly just walks in a stroller in which he just pretends to be his kid's older brother who's supposed to be watching her. Overall, it's fun. One day there were old ladies who came up to them commenting on how adorable the baby was, causing Lloyd to be like: there's no way i made this.
And fortunately, she was asleep at that moment, so her eyes didn't give Lloyd away.
When Nya isn't there with him—and it's also one of those days he blames himself for Zane's death, Lloyd finds himself spilling everything to hellspawn and then feeling really bad about it later. His only comfort is that he knows she won't remember this—he really hopes she doesn't.
After s4 and pre s5, Lloyd started getting sick of having to pretend to be his own kid's brother instead of her father so he decided to dress more maturely to look older, even putting on a fake moustache & goatee to complete the look and took her to other places to not be recognized. Kai could no longer see his baby brother anymore & was sad for a week.
But after s5...well that was where the real challenge began.
After the press found out the Green Ninja actually had a child, Lloyd was hysterical. They'd been so careful, so careful and now it was all gone. Great. She's gonna go through the same thing he does now all because she's stuck with him for a dad.
She's only two. Lloyd can't make her wear contacts every time they're out and Zane says that isn't advisable either. And considering he can't keep her isolated on the bounty for the rest of her life, he decided to get some wigs, hats and literally anything else to make her as unrecognizable as possible.
And she hates it.
Well the good thing is, her eyes look more brown from afar instead of red, so there's no need to worry about that. She really despises wigs though. Lloyd eventually decided to just dress her in toddler hoodies — which he made — or cover her face with a blanket after finding that out the hard way.
And before s8 and some time after Lloyd's eye color changed completely, she started taking an interest in green colored contacts just to match him because his eyes weren't red anymore.
Do you wish that garmadon didn't become evil?
I do, because first of all, this family definitely deserves to be happy without a baby snake's venom screwing it over — but then again, Garm not being evil would take so much away from the show and make it boring without the whole "doomed to fight your own son" thing so I guess...
It was right making him evil.
BUT SOMEBODY GIVE THIS GUY HIS HAPPINESSES PLS😭
I think the funniest part of crystallized was when people were like “oh guys your just being mean! Your being unfair the season hasn’t even come out yet! I’m sure this will be great” only for them to go “this shit sucks” when the season actually comes out /lh
Lloyd and Lord G are my coping mechanism. I'm also on FFNet and AO3 And yeah, I can't draw.
