i just imagined this scenario in my head where someone who knows the wheelers from a long time (a relative or just a friend of the family) calls the wheeler siblings™ by their respective heights.

at first, it's the same as their birth order: Nancy as the "big Wheeler", Mike as "middle Wheeler" and Holly as "little Wheeler". then, Mike clearly gets taller than Nancy and now he is the "big Wheeler".

after some years, Holly not-so-suddenly outgrows Nancy and then Nancy is stuck being the "little Wheeler" forever, which makes her grumpy and flustered every time someone brings this up (Mike teases her a lot about that).

Tony having a new york house and a california house absolutely makes sense but i think it would be so funny if he’s torn between fast food places in the two locations. Like, he loves the coffee from a local NYC shop but he wants to drink it with an In-n-out burger.

Imagine Tony asking Peter if he wants to go get a burger and next thing Peter knows, they’re hoping on a private plane to california. and peter has to figure out an excuse as to why he is in california because “My aunt has my phone location, and she would never believe that the Stark internship free me out to get a burger!”

Absolutely right!

For me Ken represented someone who kinda accepts things for the way they are. Like kinda a happy-go-lucky person who just takes things at face value and chases after love.

But that's not how Dick is. Dick's life is dedicated towards helping others. His ambition is relentless, always crashing through glass ceilings to newer heights.

He always wants to be part of something greater, to achieve the impossible, to become the greatest of his field.

On a side note, I think this is what makes him a Slytherin.

A canon reference- in a Nightwing comic where Dick's past comes to haunt him, it shows that while the Flying Graysons were the main attraction of the show, the real highlight-the crowd drawer of the circus-was Dick: and he knew it. Even at an age as young as 6, people came to the circus just to see him perform and Dick reveled in that glory.

As robin Dick always went off to do his own thing because he wanted to do more because he knew he could. It's exactly like Barbie

Although Barbie was more hesitant in exploring the other side, Dick strives for it which is even farther from Ken Behavior who is content to leave things the way they are regardless of the goods and bads of his situation.

Characters are always talking about Dick doing the impossible and how it relates to him meeting or surpassing Batman's expectations.

I guess it sums down to this: Barbie has ambition and Ken doesn't. And the reason why Dick is the exact opposite of Ken and much more similar to Barbie is because Dick's driving force, aside from helping people, is to be the best at everything he does.

Because when you start breaking your own records, you will never be satisfied with the way things were before just like how Barbie and Dick felt.

Endlessly fascinated with the contrast between the (obviously) iconic Corruption Chuuya laugh and the fact that, for almost all of its use time, Chuuya remains neutral to focus/determined during Corruption:

If you watch the Dead Apple Corruption scene, Chuuya never laughs maniacally, remaining focused the entire time (as he was focused on finding Dazai instead of destroying everything around).

On other side, in Storm Bringer, we see Verlaine laugh while under Brutalization, in the middle of the action when he's already started decimating his enemies (with little resistance). His laugh is described as inhuman and compared to various powerful sounds of destruction.

Chuuya, for his part, smiles his wicked grins when the battle is at its peak with the sharing of blows, but otherwise is only described as howling and yelling (much like he was doing in Dead Apple).

I cannot argue how iconic the mad-with-power laughter of Corruption is, but I find it very interesting how we, the fandom as a whole, have fixated on such a small part of it to the point of assuming the laughter is a constant presence.

I think it's true.

Nightwing is one of the most formidable figures in DC, without fail consistently coming out on top, so if Superman is iterating that Dick's personality and essence of being is the same, then there's really no room for disagreement.

But more truly, I think he is a Nexus.

By Marvel's definition, "Nexus Beings are rare individual entities with the ability to affect probability and thus the future, thereby altering the flow of the Universal Time Stream. These beings, each referred to as a nexus, act as the keystones of the Multiverse and are crucial to its ultimate coherence and stability."

That means that the universe hinges on the actions of Dick Grayson.

Not only does he control the fate of the world but his mere existence determines what will become of it by other people:

In the easiest terms as someone put it, "hope he fucks up" is Bruce's only contingency plan against Nightwing. The man doesn't have a clear plan how to neutralize Nightwing.

His exact words are: "As a result of overanalyzing any situation, this allows Dick Grayson to overconfident and misdirected. This will make himself open to a second attack."

So the plan is basically 'Dick is too smart for his own good so we'll have to go with a lucky surprise attack.' He's literally saying 'yupppp. Let's just hope he messed up because there's nothing we can do on ouR end.' Note that Bruce doesn't even have a back up like 'the second attack didn't work? we're fucked.'

For everyone else he actually has a coherent plan in mind- do this and they will fall. But for Dick? 'I hope he messes up enough for a second attack to actually stick. Otherwise we're shit out of luck. And lives. Fingers crossed he doesn't jump to the bad side.'

Tim also confirmed he would never make a contingency plan for Dick. The only person in the world he wouldn't do one for.
