dsmp pronouns headcanons :D

quick warning i guess: this is just based on the characters and not what pronouns I think the ccs use. some are backed up by stuff ccs have said, some aren't. these are also just my opinions and nobody has to agree with them!

- techno uses xe/xem but also doesn't correct people unless they ask what xir pronouns are

- ranboo uses he/they/it and considering end/ender pronouns, but doesn't really care and is still understanding pronouns

- dream uses he/it but doesn't correct anyone who doesn't use it/it's

- dream xd uses it/they but doesn't correct people who use he/him

- awesamdude, wilbur, and george use he/they and punz uses they/he

- purpled mostly uses he/him but people started using they/them and he was like "oh! pog!" and is questioning / experimenting

- tubbo uses he/they/bee

- bbh uses he/they/muffin

- eret and puffy use all pronouns

- ponk is comfy with all pronouns but prefers masc/neutral stuff

- charlie slimecicle doesn't really understand pronouns so he's fine with anything

- foolish, philza, and karl don't care about pronouns because like. immortals and time travel. pronouns mean nothing.

- however, both foolish and karl tend to use he/they and philza tends to use he/him for convenience

regarding posting dream smp content:

i've been made aware by trusted friends and sources in private correspondence on discord that the extent of the issues with the dream smp are actually more than i can reasonably excuse my enjoyment of it for (as documented in this callout post), so i would like to publicly acknowledge and apologize for that.

until very recently i was under the impression that the majority of past instances of controversy surrounding dream and some of his friends were things that had been addressed by them and that they were making an effort to learn and change for the better. i was assured of this by people i believed were trustworthy. and i am ashamed to admit that until it was brought to my attention directly in private by multiple friends, some of whom understandably no longer wish to associate with me due to my ignorance until proven guilty, i was unaware of any major criticisms, including anything i received for my involvement in watching and sharing fan content for the dream smp because i hadn't seen any well sourced evidence for why i shouldn't. for this i am extremely sorry, i was ignorant and have caused a lot of hurt and i fully accept the blame for that.

i am not a fan or "stan" of dream himself, have never supported him personally, and i don't have a twitter so was unaware of most of the controversies he's been involved in documented on there. i am not someone who willingly and knowingly supports antiblackness, antisemitism or anything else, and i do not in any way think it's acceptable to harass people or worse over something like minecraft youtube.

i was apparently sent a lot of asks, including some containing evidence (although i have a strict policy of not clicking links i'm sent because i can't trust them not to link to triggering or otherwise malicious content from experience, so i didn't get to see any of the most damning evidence until it was presented to me by sources i trust. this is a policy i'll be reassessing). i will defend myself for supposedly "cherrypicking" asks i receive on the grounds that i get so many asks every day that i have notifications turned off and do not check my askbox unless i am expecting an ask, so i only see asks if i've chosen to scroll through my activity feed and they show up there. i tend to skim my feed and ignore anything containing a threat or overly negative tone because usually it is just someone with too much free time trying to harass me for no good reason. this is also something i will be reassessing as it allowed me to stay ignorant for far too long. anyway, since i've been receiving a lot of questions both on here and privately over the past 24 hours asking me to address my "support for dream", i've actually had a reason to check my askbox and properly read the criticisms people have been sending me.

i don't and have never supported any harassment that dream or his friend's fans have participated in towards other people and do not believe that he is an "unproblematic" person who has nothing he needs to apologize for or be held accountable for. however i understand now that my sharing content related to his smp without any acknowledgement of the fact that its creator and some of his close friends have participated in and said things that i am as horrified by as anyone with common sense would be does create the impression that there is no need to hold these people accountable and that their behavior has and deserves no consequences. i am extremely sorry for this. it is entirely my fault for not listening until i was held accountable myself and forced to critically examine my interest by people i actually know.

to conclude, i will once again apologize that it took me this long and a lot of effort on other people's parts to be made aware of how significant the problems with dream and his community are. i ask for no forgiveness, only understanding that it was not done with malicious intent (although i understand that it had negative consequences nonetheless). i am not posting this with the intention of gaining sympathy. i'm just holding myself accountable for my mistakes. from here on out i will only be sharing fan content related to streamers i watch who are not involved in any controversy (or at least none that hasn't been satisfactorily addressed), and i may cease posting content about minecraft streamers altogether in future if i feel personally that even that is providing too much of a platform to dream and those associated closely with him.
