For my Spanish class this year, I need to follow a Spanish/LatAm recipe and make a dish to bring to my class and I’m totally blanking so I figured I’d crowdsource lol. If anyone has any suggestions for a dish I could easily make that tastes good, I would really appreciate it

Donita and her now ex husband Henry were a ‘whirlwind romance’ getting married only 19 months after first meeting. Donita continues to hold resentment towards Henry for being a bad husband and father when they were married and letting Daphne down throughout her life. Henry holds a lot of guilt towards Donita and especially Daphne, causing him to pull away from her even more and strain their relationship more. Henry was very concerned about Dabio’s relationship with Donita and was completely convinced they were having an affair despite both of them repeatedly denying it. In the beginning, Daphne resented Dabio for ‘breaking up her family’ and refused to speak to him. But, as time went on, Daphne realized that Dabio was not the reason for her parent’s divorce and began to talk to him more, learning they were quite similar.

First Post ~ Introduction

Hello everyone! I’m Octoqueen and I've been ‘lurking’ on this Tumblr for a while now so I figured its time to introduce my self insert, Daphne Donata, Donita’s only daughter.

 She’s nineteen and an influencer/model of her mother’s designs. Her parents got divorced when she was seven, and her father is distant from her, opting to live with his new wife and children, who do not get along with Daphne. Donita is very close to her daughter and supports her, learning about the internet and how to further her own company through her daughter’s social media and the internet. Dabio is the father figure Daphne never had. They are extremely close and Daphne views him as her ‘real’ father, coming to him for any advice. Daphne has always had an infatuation with being famous, with her mother being a fashion designer and her father being a famous musician, but she wanted to be something new and different, starting up an Instagram account and quickly amassing new followers through her fashion reviews/runway looks and her travels around the world with her mother.

Daphne's realtionship with the show's other villains

Zach: Daphne views Zach as one of her mother’s closest friends, and almost thinks of him as an ‘uncle’, often seeking him out for things her own mother wouldn't agree to. Daphne has always been fascinated with Zach’s inventions, particularly the Invisibility Cloak, asking him questions about them until he kicks her out. Her relationship with Zach is probably the most developed of the villains (Minus Dabio and Donita) because he has been in Daphne’s life the longest, being one of her mother’s closest friends and business partners.

Gourmand: Daphne isn’t as close to Gourmand as she used to be, mainly due to clashes about Daphne’s career and obsession with fame. He doesn’t see her job as ‘real’ work due to it being almost completely online, something Gourmand is not very adept with, and worries about her need to be famous. His struggles are rooted in love for Daphne, but his ways of showing his love can seem dismissive to Daphne, causing a rift in their relationship. Daphne still knows deep down that Gourmand cares for her and she can go to him whenever she needs.

Paisley (and Rex): Daphne has only met Paisley 3 times in her life, and has never met Rex, so her opinions on her are not really formulated yet, but, she thinks they could become close friends due to their penchant for sarcasm. Daphne wants to get closer to Paisley and eventually meet Rex, but is worried she will not be able to get the opportunity, due to her opting to officially join the Wild Kratts. Donita on the other hand, is starting to develop a relationship with Paisley, which Daphne is over the moon about, due to more opportunities to run into each other and a genuine female friendship for her mother.

Finally I get the hang of drawing Koki and Aviva and how do I use my newfound power? To draw them with Carmen Sandiego and Kim Possible. Look at this squad.... @o@ Honestly Kim's style is incredibly similar to the WK style but Carmen took a bit of finagling because their body proportions are vastly different.

I imagine in this little playground that Carmen showed up when she heard Zach was stealing some sort of priceless animal-bone artifact and Kim showed up because he's Shego (and Draken's?) son and then Aviva and Koki make it to this strange meeting between the two badass ladies and they're like AAAAAHHHHH WE ARE SUCH HUGE FANS because who hasn't heard of the woman in red stealing from rich people and the famous sort-of-spy-sort-of-superhero? They'd be SO excited to talk about gadgets and butt kicking.

Daphne and The Haters

A/N: I do not own Violet or any of her children, they all belong to @jokerislandgirl32, I tried my best to write from her POV but any mistakes on context/accuracies/characterization are entirely my own. Also, the names used from the haters are meant to be funny and are not reflecting of anyone with these usernames

Daphne’s life was perfect. She was finally happy. She had to be, her life was as good as it ever had been. It didn’t matter that her dad didn’t say goodbye before he moved in with his new girlfriend Allison, who she doesn’t think likes her very much, and lives in another state now. Who cared that all of her ‘friends’ don’t seem to include her in anything anymore and say things behind her back. She didn’t mind being alone all the time, she had her phone to keep her company. Her internet followers were never mean to her and always seemed to multiply every time she checked her social media pages. They loved Daphne and she had nothing to worry about. Her life was truly a daydream. This is what Daphne was thinking about when she opened her Instagram page to see what the most recent comment was.

@/ImATrollWhoBulliesKids thought she was annoying. Maybe Daphne was a little bit annoying and nobody told her. @/IHateSuccessfulPeople thought she was an ugly attention seeker. Hundreds of comments flooded Daphne, nitpicking her for everything. There were anonymous comments too, telling her how awful she was without ever revealing themselves. Maybe Daphne wasn’t as good as she thought. She really wasn’t good at anything. Daphne decided that she would change herself to be what she thought her perceived audience would want her to be, and changed who she was. It would make the world love her more, it was worth it. It was worth it and Daphne was happy. It was what she always dreamed of. She had to do something drastic, something no one could expect, something different. Then she would be happy and be able to finally be who she had always wanted to be. She would be perfect.

Violet Varmitech was worried about Daphne. She knew the power words could have on somebody and how they could affect them, especially at a young age. She was no stranger to criticism, working in The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama. Her ex boyfriend, Travis, further contributed, nothing she ever did was good enough for him. She began to spiral, going into a dark place, until she met Zach again. He was able to remind her of the amazing parts of the world, and taught her to love again. She loved him and her life more than she could imagine now. Violet worried that Daphne was spiraling headfirst into that dark place, and nothing anybody said would get her out of it. She loved Daphne since the day they met, with Daphne arriving four days later than Donita’s due date. “Fashionably late” as she said. She loved Daphne’s determination and tenacity, and how she can get so focused on a task, much like her husband. Violet even secretly ‘shipped’ Daphne with her youngest son, Vallen. She could tell Daphne was changing. She saw her spending less and less time with her family, and more and more on her phone, alone, reading comments. The comments could be a vile place, and Violet could only imagine the horrid things people were saying about Daphne, someone so kind and determined, and what she was absorbing. She knew she had to figure out a way to teach her about the internet more and fast.

Daphne's School Life

TW: bad teaching?, bullying, quitting, name calling, angst with a happy ending

Daphne never loved school. She loved learning, just not what the schools had to teach her. She just never understood what the teachers were saying and never cared enough about the subject to try to figure it out. Eventually Daphne gave up trying in school, opting to focus on her social life and influencer career. 

Daphne’s teachers seemed to actively encourage this abandonment of school by never encouraging her to challenge herself and placing her in the easiest classes. They viewed her as ‘too dumb’ to understand the complexities of the subjects they taught and never bothered to try and make her understand. As a result, Daphne’s grades began to slip considerably, with her pulling ‘Ds for Daphne’ frequently, especially in math and science, her worst subjects. Donita and Dabio worried about her and her academics frequently, but neither of them were well equipped to be teaching her, barely understanding it themselves. Zach eventually caught wind of Daphne’s struggles and offered up himself and his daughter, Vera’s assistance, which Donita accepted immediately. 

Daphne began tutoring with them, especially Vera, and waited. Waited for them to announce she was a lost cause and too stupid to understand like all of her other teachers did, but that moment never came. Her grades began to improve and Daphne began to foster a great relationship with Vera; she admired her passion for music and how she was able to ‘do it all’, at least according to Daphne. Daphne’s grades began to rise, with her eventually becoming a solid student, with Zach and Vera’s consistent efforts to make her understand enough to do well on the tests. 

Daphne’s classmates, however, did not appreciate or notice this stark improvement. They continued to speak badly behind her back. They never told her directly because she was still a very popular and influential girl, having dated some of the most popular boys and amassed thousands of followers on social media, but they viewed themselves as better and smarter than her, thinking she was just a pretty face with nothing substantial to offer society. Henry, Daphne’s father, and Allison, her stepmother, did nothing to refute these claims, with Allison actually encouraging them, calling Daphne a ‘airhead’ and claiming there was ‘nothing behind her eyes’. Henry felt bad for Daphne but didn’t believe she was really trying in school, so he thought his wife’s comments may encourage her to start trying harder, and Allison was a distinguished student in high school, so she must know what she’s talking about. Daphne tried to ignore these comments, but they added to her insecurities and she began to see herself as an academic failure. She didn’t even want to bother to apply to any colleges, being convinced she would just be rejected, and would just focus on her influencer career, the only thing she seemed to be good at.

Dabio, someone who experienced similar things in high school and ended up not going to college because of it, becoming Donita’s henchman and model, managed to talk her into applying. He said while he loved Donita, her, and his life, not going to college was one of his biggest regrets, and he didn’t want the same for her. Together, they applied to many colleges for a plethora of majors. Daphne ended up being accepted to one of these majors and began her communications and marketing major. Her professors quickly noticed her fame and ability to amass massive amounts of followers through her social media, encouraged her to keep going, and taught her a lot about the internet and social media. Which later helped her get an invite to a prestigious content creation house, and start a PR business in addition to her global influencer career.
