Shadowy Forest, c. 1930
I've been really sad these past few weeks, I didn't feel like drawing much, but recently I found some new songs I really liked, and inspired me to draw this.
I've always really liked cold landscapes, places that seem forgotten, ruins reclaimed by nature, or places far from civilization.
Maybe I'll do a series of drawings with this theme, a good excuse to try to draw more landscapes and draw more the human version of my fursona.
A shark-cat
Some of my human ocs I don't usually draw, since I'm bad at drawing humans ;-; If you are interested in knowing more about them: M: It's only the human version of my fursona, so as such he has no history. He has some changes like the hair color and has a few freckles on his nose, there are no more changes, same pessimistic attitude as always. Caliz: I don't know if you remember Candle? Well this is his owner, I don't really like the design of the clothes, I really don't have a precise idea of how I want her to look, so I'll probably change her design later :b Caliz is an apprentice of witch, she comes from a long lineage of witches and tries to improve herself to show that she is on the level of her grandmother and mother, powerful witches of her city, however she is always getting into trouble and creating chaos from time to time. In this world, witches use crystals, plants, seals, and books to cast spells and spells, so Caliz always carries her backpack with her, and small bags to have everything she needs. Mar: I've already drawn him a few times, however I usually draw him as a young adult since it's very difficult to draw kids ;-; Their world currently has no name, that's why I put unknown. An old man from a fishing village found him on the sea when he was about 3 years old, and decided to adopt him, however, after a plague struck his adoptive village, he embarked on an adventure to find a league of heroes which it said their members where cursed to die one by one, and no one knows what happened to them.
This is the second part of the monster drawing.
The story goes that there are two islands, one of humans and another of monsters; and there are monsters trading in human trafficking, although I don't know with whom since I didn't make the story. The monster with the skull manages to rescue this girl and seeks to return her to her island, but everyone will stand in their way.
From what I understand she was a slave before the rescue, so she has several scars on her body, her story is quite cruel. Although I don't know how she got the glasses. I like to think she found them, while she was escaping, from survivors who didn't get very far before dying.
This looks epic
Illustration inspired by The Dowie Dens of Yarrow, one of my favourite border ballads.
