hey darksparks community anyone ever think about how wattson's first instinct is to help people and reach out to them but always bites off more than she can chew. like with crypto she literally just wanted him to feel more at home and start opening up to the other legends so he could have people to rely on just like they did for her when she was at her lowest and loneliest and then she ended up taking on all this fucking responsibility she couldn't handle with him and caustic and mila and their mother and keeping all the secrets from all of them and feeling obligated to stick around caustic bc he's dying of illness just like her father did and she's being retraumatized by that and then vantage meets her and immediately ropes her into her scheme to clear her mom's name and then lifeline tries to recruit her for her own scheme (although she hasn't been pushy about it and wattson isn't the only one she's asked so tbh she's in the clear but it still must have been stressful) all the while she's been dealing with the weight of the apex games and helping design an extremely controversial arena that would put her at odds with catalyst and seer and she's crumbling under all her stress bc she can't help but put herself in a position where she's responsible for others and their well-being.

but when she noticed something was wrong with wraith, she asked about it, and what was wraith's response? she had lots of baggage of her own just like everyone else, and her response to wattson was that she needed to sit with it herself for a while. that if she needed wattson she'd reach out.

while everyone jumps at the chance to share their burdens with wattson, wraith tries to figure her shit out by herself first before she brings unnecessary stress to others. if she can't figure it out on her own and specifically needs wattson, she'll ask.

but this is part of what makes them so compatible and it's why i don't think wattson is good with anyone except for wraith.

wattson will always notice when something is wrong and offer her help, but wraith doesn't let wattson bite off more than she can chew but knows she is loved and supported.
