Intersex Facts.

1) Intersex doesn't mean both parts. In humans that's called bigenital. No human has both fully functioning reproductive systems.

2) Intersex is not a third sex. There are over 40 intersex variations.

3) Intersex people cannot be neatly categorised as male or female.

4) of babies identified as intersex upon birth, approximately 95% are surgically altered. This is called intersex genital mutilation (IGM).

5) Intersex people are not "naturally non-binary"

6) Some people are disabled due to their intersexuality. For example MRKH is linked with deafness and Klinefelters is linked with weak immune systems.

Intersex infographic, just to clear up some common misconceptions.

Only intersex people may add info in reblogs, perisex people learn to listen.

Edit since this has gotten traction : If this infographic has taught you something or you've found if useful, consider donating to a disabled intersex person so I can afford medication and food

DON'T STOP TALKNG ABOUT CONGO

**It’s a privilege** to look forward to the launch of the new iPhone 16, while people in the DRC face modern-day slavery, mistreatment, and abuse as they mine the very minerals that power our cherished phones. Zoya Reebye, founder of Let’s Talk WOC, sheds light on the unimaginable hardships women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo endure in the mines. From being underpaid to facing a rising rate of sexual assault, these women live through a humanitarian crisis the world must not ignore. Even as teenagers, **we can make an impact** by amplifying the voices of those working in the DRC, raising awareness, and holding companies accountable for their actions. 1. **Raise awareness** about the situation in the DRC. The more people know, the more pressure we can put on those responsible. 2. **Be mindful** of your consumer choices. 3. **Do your research.** Investigate the supply chains of companies you buy from, choose refurbished or secondhand electronics, and recycle your devices responsibly. Let’s strive for a world where our technology is not built on exploitation.

seeing femmes who hate butches is so hilarious to me because you cannot call yourself a femme if you do not like butches. that’s not how it works. you can absolutely be femme4femme or not want to date butches but i’m talking about femmes who just don’t like butches AT ALL. in ANY way. one of the points of being a femme is protecting all other lesbians, ESPECIALLY butches!! and vice versa for butches protecting femmes!! we rely on each other and always have!! historically!! and more importantly–how can anyone hate butches???? truly baffling.

Saying

"trans men do not hold the same power as cis men in society and will still always be seen as trans men in many ways, therefore trans men absolutely can and do experience misogyny throughout their lives"

Does not equal

"trans men are more oppressed than any other trans identity"

Oppression isn't a competition, stop trying to erase the fact transandrophobia exists when you don't even know what it is

No one's saying trans women are less oppressed

This isn't the Olympics
