just rambling but I personally think the fact that you can make countless alternate designs out of the legion of stationery proves in a way that them being literal objects isn't as limiting as people said it was. Like they have such strong character and personalities that even when you go crazy and creative with a design its still them, and in fact I'd say them being objects instead of previously established mario enemies enables people to have more fun with the designing process ! yeah they had a set limitation when making the bosses and characters for this game but to make a pair of scissors an overconfident cruel dualist because they have a natural advantage over paper and a roll of tape a motorcycle riding mafia guy portrayed through a tape dispenser and a piece of tape sticking upward to resemble a pompadour is the exact opposite of 'lazy' and 'boring' imo explodes and dies /lh

Pelican Town got a new farmer ... she's bit of a cryptid but the people appreciates her efforts.

Ok, so basically

Here it is! Every page of Super Mario-Kun with Doopliss in it. (Except for one, which I will post separately ) These are the raw Japanese scans.

I'm not skilled enough to do a full translation, but here's a rundown of what's happening:

The villagers of Twilight Town have turned into pigs. Koops becomes a pig too! Mario learns he can change everyone back with the crystal star, which is guarded by a monster in Creepy Steeple. Mario and gang head over there.

They go to Creepy Steeple and find a bunch of food. They pig out (ha ha). Doopliss appears and tells them to stop eating his food! Doopliss shows them the star, which transforms Koops back. Mario decides to fight Doopliss for the star, but Doopliss immediately surrenders. He says he just wanted to use the villagers to make money with a pig farm. Mario's okay with this as long as he gets the star.

Then Mario trips, and knocks into Doopliss, causing them to switch bodies. Doopliss wants to keep Mario's body because it's stronger than his. Mario tries to tell everyone what happened, but Koops thinks he's Doopliss and tries to fight him. Yes, that's Koops farting on him. Doopliss thinks it's hysterical. Goombella gets suspicious because Mario usually wouldn't find something like that so funny. She whacks Mario into Doopliss again to switch them back into their original bodies.

Mario encourages Doopliss, and tells him he should try to be strong with his own power. Doopliss says he'll try his best, and gives Mario the star. Mario transforms the villagers back...sort of.

The final page is from a few chapters later, when Mario fights the Shadow Queen. He's telling Mario and gang, "Don't lose!"
