Summary: Bam peeling oranges and feeding them to Khun
Bam used to hate touching citrus fruits. His hands, covered in nicks and cuts from his intense training, used to hurt so much when handling them. Nowadays, his hands were much better cared for. He borrowed Khun’s lotion often because he loved the scent of roses.
Now, he was happily peeling an orange and carefully removing the pith with care. He inspected a piece, and after making sure it looked perfect, raised it to his left. Khun’s eyes briefly darted away from his lighthouse and he leaned over. His mouth closed over the piece and he pulled away.
Bam watched him for a moment, waiting until he heard the delighted hum from Khun. He grinned to himself and started on the next piece.
Bam cherished these moments of peace. The test was still months away. They were well hidden from FUG. He finally got to train with his team.
He had time to sit next to Khun and feed him oranges while he worked on his lighthouse.
Life was good.

You’re not going to tell me this man doesn’t have daily dreams about Bam and how he couldn’t save him even though he plan for everything
writing advice: every chapter should have something that makes you, a sicko, say yeesss… hahaha… yeeesss!!! and it doesn’t quite matter what you are a sicko about but it’ll be hard to get through the chapter if nothing makes you press your face into the window

Summary: Urek tries to give Bam a heartfelt speech
The Wolhaiksong base was busy as they prepared for their next move.
Urek took a sip of his soda and looked away from the bustling group of people to the small boy across him. Well, he wasn’t so small anymore, definitely a man now, but he was still… tiny.
“Bam, baby,” he called and Bam turned to him, a can of milk tea still against his lips.
“With great power comes great responsibility, you know. Don’t forget what your goals are, but don’t let them blind you.”
Bam blinked and nodded as he gulped. Urek sighed. He wasn’t getting his point across, was he?
“What I mean is, the Family Heads took their strengths to an extreme because they felt like they needed to. I’m saying you don’t need to. You don’t see me flaunting my strength around, do you? I’m—Hey!”
Bam’s eyes had gone wide, pupils dilating like a cat’s, and he took off past Urek in the middle of his important speech. He turned around to see what would be more captivating than him and he found the boy running into the arms of his Lightbearer. A fierce hug later, they were standing close, grinning and talking, the rest of their surroundings forgotten.
Urek, forgotten.
He pouted, but then reconsidered. The boy had something the family heads didn’t. Loyalty. Purpose. Love. As long as Bam didn’t forget those things, he wouldn’t become a heartless monster like the Family Heads.
Urek knocked back his soda and slammed the can against his forehead, crushing it before tossing it in the recycle bin.
He decided to go find someone else to bother and leave the two boys to themselves.

Summary: Bam finds great comfort in Khun's scent.
Bam shut the door and covered his mouth when he yawned despite no one else being in the room. He started getting ready for bed with only the sound of his breathing and clothes ruffling.
Usually, Khun would be here with him, but he was away for a meeting on the other side of the floor and had told Bam he would probably return in the morning so he shouldn't wait up.
It was fine, it was just one night anyway. He'd dealt with lonelier nights than this.
With a forlorn sigh, Bam shuffled across the room and dropped his day's clothes in the hamper. As the clothes his the bottom, a gust of Khun's scent slammed into Bam, and it stunned him for a moment.
Bam stood there dumbly, his tired mind trying to draw the pros and cons for what he wanted to on sand being lapped at by a sea of sleepiness. It was a fruitless endeavor, so against his better judgment, he reached in, pushed his clothes aside, and pulled out one of Khun's shirts.
He brought it to his face, closed his eyes, and breathed in deeply through his nose. There light traces of Khun's cologne; notes of wood, citrus, and spice.
He pulled it away, turned it around, and buried his face in it again. The scent of Khun's natural musk and sweat was much stronger on the back. Bam couldn't help letting out a pleased groan that rumbled deep in his chest after taking in another big whiff.
The tension sloughed off his shoulders and limbs as he felt wrapped in that familiar scent of safety. It warmed his insides to a pleasant tingle and made his heart feel full to the brim.
With his mind perfectly blank of everything unnecessary, he ambled to the bed and flopped over. His body curled up around the shirt and clung to its comfort. He fell asleep in minutes.
In the morning, Khun gave a tentative tug on the sleeve of his wrinkled shirt and was sure heard Bam growl in response.
"Bam," he whispered as he leaned closer. "Wake up, Bam."
Slowly, Bam unraveled from his protective ball, stretching his legs out and then his arms with a loud yawn. Khun took advantage of that moment to pull his shirt free.
"G'morning, Khun-ssi." Bam languidly smiled, his eyes still half-lidded with sleep.
Khun chuckled at him. "Good morning, sleeping beauty. Sleep well?" He slung the shirt over his shoulder and cocked his head.
Bam nodded slowly as stifled another yawn until he suddenly shot upright on the bed with a gasp. "Oh! I'm sorry! I, uhh—your shirt—I was just—"
"It's fine, Bam," laughed Khun. "I'm sorry you had to use a replacement instead of the real thing last night."
Bam's face was hot with embarrassment and his brows creased his forehead with worry anyway.
Khun dropped his hand on Bam's head, ruffling gently before stroking his thumb across his cheek and cupping his chin to meet his eyes. He leaned in close enough to feel the heat of Bam's exhale.
"Whatever you need from me, Bam, you can take whenever you want." Khun leaned in to touch their foreheads together, barely a second and much too short, before he let go and moved away.
Blank blinked, stupefied by what just happened.
"I'm gonna go shower. See you downstairs for breakfast?" Khun paused on the doorway as he stared at Bam, waiting for an answer.
A grin slowly spread on Bam's face as he felt the familiar warmth of Khun's precense sink back into him. "Okay!"

Summary: Khunbam relaxing
“Khun… I go to the bathroom for a few minutes and you’re already working again.”
Khun quickly typed up his last sentence and dismissed his document. “Just had an idea that I had to write down. Sorry, Bam.”
Bam crawled into bed with a playful grin as he settled next to Khun. “Mmhm. Pull the movie up, then.”
Bam loved horror movies, but he didn’t like watching them alone. He had convinced Khun to cuddle watch with him tonight, though.
“What was it called again?”
“Rabid Grannies.”
“You’re kidding…” “It’s a classic! I think you’ll like it.”
“We’ll see…”
Khun was amused. It was dubbed and cheesy and had just enough plot to keep him hooked. Bam slowly sunk under the covers as it got closer to the monster reveal.
Khun patted his head. “Getting scared?”
“No,” muttered Bam. Khun snickered.
“Do you want a hug?”
“...Yes.”
Khun opened his arms, and Bam snuggled into his chest.
Bam only jumped a few times and Khun was riveted by the plot. Who knew such a dumb movie could be so entertaining?
Time flew, and the credits started rolling. Khun looked down and nudged Bam’s head with his chin. “Did you like it?”
A little snore answered him, and Khun smiled warmly. There was no working with his arms full, so he decided a little extra sleep wouldn’t hurt for tonight.
