Salutations. I am 日本国 otherwise known as the state of Japan by my colleagues or simply Honda Kiku by those whom I am familiar with.

Many people know me for my cuisine, sumo wrestling, samurai, onsens, and anime however I wish to share my culture as well as expand my horizons on the customs of other countries through this app.

Please do feel free to send in asks; I will try my best to answer them with punctuality however if I fail I do so I apologize in advance.

A Little About Me:

Birthday: February 11th which is my national foundation day. In 660 BCE, Emperor Jimmu ascended to the throne and unifying my people as one nation: Japan.

My Favorite Food: I am very fond of vegetables especially when they are pickled, fermented, and salty. I am also fond of sushi, shiozake, nimono, tsukemono to a large extent.

My Hobbies: I enjoy exercise such as walking, baseball, making preserved food, working with my hands on 2D and 3D taking care of Pochi-kun, and sunbathing. My newest hobby is challenging myself to cook dishes from every country (they will most likely be adapted in a respectful manner to suit my own personal taste).

My Companions: My beloved Shiba Inu named Pochi, my cat who is addressed as Tama, my Guinea pig named Haru, and my pet rabbit who is named Yuki.

Even my mom didn't give me that kind of advice 🙏

Apologies, Tama is my beloved feline companion.

He is rather petite however he is a voracious eater when it comes to tuna… and salmon… and all kinds of cat friendly fish.

Pochi and I decided to take a small walk today however Pochi had other plans… we boarded the bus and walked over to the local convenience store for sweet treats and onigiri.

Thank you. I shall be sure to attend in a timely manner… that is if Pochi-kun ever decides to get up…
