seeing a post i made yesterday: no one should have this much access to previous versions of themselves
Do we think "Israel" brazenly bragging about not allowing humanitarian aid through the border will be enough for people to stop scolding Gazans for making individual/family fundraisers because "it's better to donate to trusted orgs instead" or are they never going to get it?
Jaehaera was tiny and slow to grow. She did not cry, she did not smile, she did none of the things a babe was meant to do.
Aegon III was now eleven, Jaehaera only eight. Once wed, they had very little contact with one another save on formal occasions, and even that was rare, as the little queen was loath to leave her chambers.
“They have no joy in them; they neither laugh nor play. The girl wets her bed at night and weeps inconsolably when she is corrected. Her own ladies say that she is eight, going on four.
So, in what world is that forced ''relationship'' more intresting? It was torture for both of them, it would have never worked and they would have avoided each other for the entirety of it (as they did when they were children); Jaehaera would never heal Aegon III and he would never heal Jaehaerea; They were both 'broken', Aegon got along with Gaemon and Daenaera because they were 'happier' and the opposite of his state.
But Green stans don't care how the forced marriage and pregnancy would be cruel to Jaehaera (that she is eight, going on four); They want the green bloodline to have continued, because no matter what they say, the fact that the Green line did not survive bothers them, that's why many of them even cling on the supposed bastards Aegon and Aemond have;
And no, I don't wish for Jaehaera to die, she was an innocent girl and did not deserve to suffer and be killed for a man's ambition (Peake); But there was no chance of healing for her and Aegon in that marriage, nor was it more intresting.
As for HotD.... I doubt there would be even a wedding between Jaehaera and Aegon III, they have 16 episodes to cover the entire war and the aftermath, and the fact they aged down the characters (especially Aegon III and his arc with Stormcloud and seeing his mother die) tells me they don't really care about the children; the show is about ''Alicent and Rhaenyra'' after all, so maybe they will give Alicent a different death and it would be a wrap for HotD.
I really dislike when I see people say that King Viserys had no right to change the laws and traditions of Westeros by making Rhaenyra his heir. They really have no idea what they're talking about when they say that. Rulers - kings and queens - create and change laws and traditions. If King Jaehaerys could officially set the precedent of sons coming before daughters then King Viserys had the right to undo it.
It's not even like it was the first time a Targaryen had changed any traditions in Westeros. The Conquerors came along, took over the land, and made multiple changes, such as outlawing certain Westerosi traditions such as making it so men could strike their wives only a certain number of times instead of beating them to death. King Jaehaerys created an entire doctrine allowing Targaryens to continue practicing incest even though that was against the tradition in Westeros. Queen Alysanne abolished The First Night, an ancient tradition in Westeros. I truly have no idea where this notion comes from that Viserys had no right to change anything. He was the most powerful man in Westeros, what do you mean he had no right? If he wanted to shake up tradition then that was his right to do so as king.
Just take a look at real life historical kings and queens, emperors, etc. Many of them changed things that previous rulers had implemented, they changed laws and traditions that existed for a long time. I mean King Henry VIII established a whole new church just so he could get a divorce and did many things to diminish the Catholic Church's influence because he was king, he could do that. Then his daughter Queen Mary came along and tried to undo what her father did and then Queen Elizabeth I came after her and reversed her reforms because kings and queens could change whatever they wanted and undo whatever they wanted.
So yeah King Viserys was well within his right to decide to make his daughter heir over his son. He was well within his right as king to change a precedent a previous king had set.
I don't know if people who say he had no right to do what he did are just used to most monarchies today being only symbolic in nature with not much power or what but most monarchies in history could do and change what they wanted because they had absolute power. House Targaryen had absolute power, meaning King Viserys could do what he wanted and if what he wanted was to make Rhaenyra his heir then he could do that. I've seen people argue that his word isn't law but yes it is.

I like to think that he was a lot like his dad, spending time with them and showering 'em with affection.
do you think people can still be fans of dany even if they want/expect her to take a villainous turn in the books?
well, i don't really think about that. not an arbiter of who does or doesn't get to be a fan of something. but yeah if someone is misinterpreting a story or a character, i'll side eye them, i guess. so, in that sense people who seriously think she's about to have a fascist downfall arc are misinterpreting the text. badly. i don't really come across people who genuinely enjoy this version of the character because ime a lot of "anti" posting is motivated by outrageous levels of hatred for a character and a desire to see them be beaten down by the text. but i presume when this exact scenario doesn't come to pass in the books, they'll understand they had a wrong read on her character ^_^
“i can fix her” well i think the atrocities make her funny
Arial: Classic font, looks good for the most part, but a little bit bland also. 6/10
Berlin Sans FB: There's already a lot more character, but the mouth is simply too long and the lips don't curl enough which takes away from the experience. 4/10
Comic Sans MS: Now THAT'S a colon-three. There's so much silliness in that face it's hard to bear. My only real critique is that the eyes are just a smidge too narrow, but that's just a nitpick more than anything. 8/10
Courier New: Sleek. Professional. Big vertical eyes full of glee. Very solid choice for a colon-three font. 7/10
Jokerman: I feel bad for including this one. That font stood no chance against the others. This is the eldritch horror of colon-threes. These eyes are filled with nothing except murderous intent. The mouth is crooked with a sharp corner, but the most egregious part is probably the teeth-like protrustions from the bottom part of the mouth. 0/10
Goudy Stout: An interesting take on colon-three. I like the idea of having an incredibly thick mouth (even if it's a bit too thick for my liking), and the eyes being big and centered is a big positive. Much sillier than most fonts, but I think struggles to beat Comic Sans in terms of silliness. 6/10
Consolas: Worse version of Courier New. The lips just don't curl enough and it just ends up looking a little pathetic. 4/10
Fixedsys: Oh my god. Holy shit. What the fuck. 10/10
