A survey ship navigates it's way through asteroids as it skirts the edge of a nascent solar system.
Going for a Ralph McQuarrie/Chris Foss/Chris Moore/Peter Elson vibe.
A Ghost Frog - a creature for D&D that I created for my rpg-related blog. You can read about here.
Digital painting and an older pencil sketch of a Sathar, the bad guys from the Star Frontiers rpg setting.
Some concept doodles of a flying Skycrane-type thing.
'Diggers' - small nocturnal burrowing creatures native to the planet Jarran. A cross between a mole rat, a snapping turtle and a glow worm, the pits on their foreheads are bio-luminescent. They're used for signalling to each other, for reasons not yet known.
Sketch of a Stirge.
A Lesser Chitinous Dragon, part of a series of D&D monsters created for my blog
Messing around with a dragon of less conventional design.
Cthulhu. This is the fat, bloated, 6-eyed version based on H.P. Lovecraft's own sketch.
Pencil drawings I made in 1986 or '87 as handouts for 'The Mauretania', an adventure for the Call of Cthulhu rpg (second edition - published in 'The Asylum & Other Tales'). I modified the adventure quite a bit, as published adventures usually need a bit of bodging. These were essentially images I handed to players when they experienced certain events within the adventure. I also used the same approach when running homebrew adventures.
I played Runequest quite a lot from 1985 to about '87, and always liked that it featured ducks as a playable race. I had a duck barbarian character called Koduck Instamantix.
'Crush your enemies eggs, see them rolling before you, and to hear the lamentation of the ducklings'.
Artwork by me, Jerry Boucher. Mostly rpg-related stuff and some other things. None of this artwork may be used or repurposed without my prior permission. Please ask!
