Commissions and Unprofessional Artist Behavior

Before I get started, a quick preface:

This post doesn’t apply to all artists.

This post doesn’t apply to all customers.

This may not be your experience, but your experience is not universal.

With that out of the way, let’s get started. This is going to be a very long post, so let me just give you the abstract:

Any artist who takes commissions has an obligation to behave in a professional manner and treat their customers’ time and money with respect. Just because art is a creative endeavor that does not excuse abusive business practices, and it’s wrong to take advantage of a customers’ good will. Doing so weakens trust in artists as a whole and harms the entire artistic community, especially new artists just getting started.

Tumblr issues

Since the announcement of the adult content ban. It has become an issue. And many of us are hurt and angry about it. However, I wouldn’t leave Tumblr, I would but I can’t because i follow amazing artists here and they are my inspiration.

But I do hope Tumblr will open their fockin eyes and see how much damage they have done to each and everyone on Tumblr.

I do hope for the best of those who left here.
