More old sketchbook art to celebrate finished essay, but with more BFDI humans this time.
Taking a break from TPOT and i find out that Posuka "the GOAT" Demizu is the artist for the new gen Beyblade X manga??? 👏👏👏👏👏
I was so into these spinny tops when i was younger and got into The Promised Neverland a little while later, so its fun to see overlap between them ahhah.
I love this art style so much!! Its so rough and sketchy! So beautiful!!! 👏👏👏
Like seriously i cannot get enough
Reading manga instead of doing my hoemwork 💀
This one in particular is taking all of my brain space, cant get it out of my head its so cute.
A shojo romance (I think) manga soon to be getting an anime, its the sweetest thing Ive ever read. I also really love how the relationships (romantic & platonic) depicted.
It does start off kinda tropy but thats been a pattern with a lot of manga that I've recently read, so I cant fault it (not that I would want to). Manga overall these days seem to pull in general audiences with easy-to-identify tropes, then they snag new readers with genuinely great writing and Im all for it.
Highly recommended what a great read 10/10 i love it
This is the sketch I did on paper, beforehand
I know more about tangible sketching rather than digital art.
funny object show with funny object show characters
this is like my fifth (??? I'm not counting) digital art
we love them
Expect fan art (or dont, I'm kinda busy this week)
Pillow!!! 👏👏👏👏✨️✨️✨️✨️
She is my favourite contestant!!! She is so silly and it looks like she's finally investing in some actual friendships (i think???)!! Or at least trying out being less mean as a strategy. I'd like her to stay a little longer so she can have time to explore that pls👍👍

Again, thank you!!!
Im not good at explaining things, but one of the things that I like to do when using watercolours is just playing around and mixing colours. Mixing greens with yellows and blues to indicate lights and shadows, or mixing brown with blue to make a muted blue/gray and stuff. I like messing around and seeing what happens, its a very experimental medium (which is what makes it so fun)!
I hope that makes sense and helps you, even just a little! Also I feel it important to acknowledge that Im not naturally talented with watercolours, I took an art class for 4 years straight in school and there was always a watercolours unit.
Im posting some more from yesterday, because it was really fun playing with watercolours for the first time since like two years ago.
These ones were more "practicy" but I love them all the same 💛
Also looking back on these, there are a surprising amount of crossed out heads in my sketchbook.
