I want to show you one cool thing.

It's not like it's hidden, but I haven't seen anybody point it out so...

You know how Casey and Donnie start their conversations? That's their little thing.

Donnie lives in multi-tasking mode all the time and often doesn't even turn his head to greet you if you start talking to him. From the outside it looks like he doesn't care. But he and Casey have this little moment at the beginning of almost any conversation where they call each other by name.

It's Donnie's way of saying "I'm busy, but I know you are here and I'm listening to you."

At first it was a one-way thing, but then Casey started doing that in response too and it became a common habit between them

So now whenever Casey wants to address Donnie, he says his name and then pauses. ...You know..., so that Donnie fills that pause by saying his name in response.

Even if Donnie isn't there anymore.

And he keeps doing that with little Donnie.

This last vote will be a long one, over the next week please remember to be kind to one another. For the most part people are doing well, but I would hate to see things escalate. Let's all have fun and be respectful. :)

I’ll never understand why anthropomorphic animal cartoons like Robin Hood and Zootopia will go to the trouble of creating character designs that are meant to be understood as “attractive” or even “sexy” to the human audience but explicitly avoid showing interspecies romances between anthropomorphic animals. Why is THAT weird but, like, trying to make rabbits recognizably sexy-coded to humans isn’t?

Some lil Donnie doodles I did today because I needed to make SOMETHING and this is cute.

I am also an autistic bean and although I wasn't diagnosed until I was 14, I definitely showed signs as a small child and I feel like Donnie DEFINITELY did too.

I HC that Splinter, you know, KNEW something was different from the beginning and knows Donnie is on the spectrum, but he can't get an official diagnosis for him because of This Whole Situation TM. But he's done a lot of research and knows Donnie loves music and dancing, so he teaches him bō-jutsu (known for its kinetic flow) to help him improve his proprioception and help them bond.

Bonus lil Leo because he's freakin cute AF, LOOK AT HIM.
