How to deep clean The Sims 3. 2020 (Massive lag reduction.)

Deep cleaning your game will help your game run faster it will also reduce lag and prevent sims and saves from going corrupt.

Programs. CC Magic. Ts3pe. Sims 3 multi pack extractor. Sims 3 Dashboard cc cleaner Advanced system care

Recommended file types. These files are much easier for your game to process and when managed properly much safer to use then .sims3packs. How are they safer? Well sims 3 packs cane become corrupt and its much more difficult to find a broken sims3pack. Another reason is some are affected by the sims 3 evil doll virus. .WORLD .Package

Tips to avoid save corruption. Never save over a save file. Always use save as option. Save often. Keep sim inventories empty. World adventures chest are famous for corrupting saves. Keep family inventory empty. Move family out and save them to library before saving.

Preventing the deletion of what is important to you. Place these folders in a new folder on your desktop. Label it TS3Backup or somthing similar. \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims\Downloads \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims\Mods \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims\Library \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims\Saved outfits \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims\Saved sims \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims\Saves This step insures that all of your saved sims saved games and familys are all there once you boot your game up again.

Creating new and clean game files for a smoother and less laggy game. 1 - Navigate to \Documents\Electronic Arts. Once you open your Electronic arts folder delete the folder labeled The Sims 3. 2 - Start launcher (Do not press play yet.) 3 - Enable expansions. 4 - Navigate to the TS3Backup folder created earlier place the folders you placed inside TS3Backup and move them to \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims. 4 - Install sims3packs via launcher. 5 - Delete files from DCBackup. 6 - Reapeat process as needed.

Deleting cache files. When you delete any or all of these files, as their nature is to regenerate, the next time you load Launcher or the game may take a bit longer as all these files need to be refreshed. This is normal and is by design.

Mod free ways to fix lag. Manage town population keep under 100. Babies kittens and puppies cause lots of lag. Houseboats, docks, dive locations, resorts and subways cause lots of lag.

Settings Turn off strays. Turn off lost horses. turn off supernaturals. Turn off interactive loading screens. Turn off memories. turn off lessions. Dont use lots from the store.

This world is a blank medium sized (1024x1024) world with 10 community lots and 21 residential lots. It’s 23.8MB unpopulated. It uses Aurora Skies InI files, no flythrough.

It’s inspired by medieval Scandinavian landscapes, vikings, Norse mythology, and Skyrim. It’s a home neighborhood but created with the notion of using it as a travel destination or for story telling..

Ainali lies at the northern end of Finland where pristine blue lakes are surrounded by dense green forests. The rural village itself boasts of pretty, colourful traditional houses. Ainali is a destination for people who want to experience wild nature and love being outdoors, be it fishing, hiking, biking or simply getting lost. Also a great place for introverts to unite! As far away from other people as possible, of course.

I turned into a bit of a world collector *coughhoardercough* while I have been on a mission to find a perfect world that suits my playstyle and aesthetics plus is relatively small and lag free. I haven’t found many worlds that are based on Scandinavia let alone Finland, but I stumbled upon Vera’s Sammallampi awhile ago and I fell in love with it! It made me feel all fuzzy inside as it reminded me of my childhood and sweet summer holidays by the Ainali lake. I edited the world for my own enjoyment initially, but as I have been doing so I figured I might as well share it with the rest of you simmers since it really is a nifty little world!

What has changed then?

The playable area is now a medium map within a large world map, if that makes sense. Even though the lots are a little spread out around the lake it won’t take several sim hours to drive from one end to the other.

The original distant terrain didn’t load for me, so I replaced it with ones from Twinbrooks and Island Paradise.

Updated some of the textures such as grass and soil to use Nilxis textures instead.

I have fixed all the roads, spawners and overall routing, I removed one of the piers as it was causing routing issues as well. Sadly, I had to make the small islands unroutable too.

I removed quite a lot of trees, but it is still very much a tree heavy world.

I have tamed all the floating grasses and trees.

I added more lots and changed the size for some of the originals.

I created a lighting mod and included it in the world file.

Finally, I renamed it after my childhood stomping grounds.

But wait, there is more! I have made two versions for you to choose from!

#1 Empty world // Requirements:

Base-game and Ambitions, Island Paradise distant terrain is included in the download incase you don’t have the pack installed.

Map is completely empty, has a wide variety of spawners and ready to be built by you. Go crazy!

All the lots are built and furnished.

I want to emphasize that this is very much a base game friendly world with some items used from the rest of the packs listed above simply for their functionality (Late Night for bars, University for baristas and grocery rabbithole, Ambitions for skilling items, Generations for a wedding arch etc) and as the world is based on a nordic village I used Aurora Skies stuff in it as well but it’s mostly just roofs, paneling and the lovely lupin flowers that come with it. If you don’t have some of the expansion packs or don’t want to install Aurora Skies the items I have used will simply be replaced by something else from your own game. Nothing should break, but some bits might look a little bare or funky due to the replaced items!

Almost there, just few more bits!

I have created a lighting mod for Ainali and included it in the world file itself, I would recommend at least trying it out (by taking your own lighting mod out of Mods/Packages folder to see it in action)! If you like Ainali’s lighting and want to use it in other worlds or as a standalone mod, shoot me a message and I’ll make a package for you.

This world comes with 16 Community lots, 14 Residential lots and 2 empty lots. I have not included population.

Ainali comes with basic rabbit hole careers you would get in a vanilla game. Even though I have all the expansions I rarely if ever play with pets or occult sims, so lots related to them you have to add yourself (Festival lots, future and showtime bits).

I would strongly advise downloading Nraas Go Here and disabling boats. They will cause lag as townies have a habit of looping around endlessly. Same with horses, really, as they tend to get stuck.

Some houses and lots may look familiar as I have edited and used EA lots as a base + 2 lots from doublemedion694′s Cladbridge-on-Stowe (one was made by Reachsim) and 1 lot from CAW blog’s Amberville.

You do NOT need the original Sammallampi world installed for Ainali to work. This is a completely new world that simply used Sammallampi as a base.

So just to make sure this is clear, everything else aside from the rabbit hole rugs/doors are entirely, utterly, completely cc free. I used Nilxis textures while building in CAW, but you don’t have to download them nor will they have an impact on your game outside of Ainali. The rest is just pure vanilla EA base game stuff, part of expansion packs or Aurora Skies.

Yes that’s right! There is a way to make the Sims 3 run faster!

Nitromon over at Mod the Sims has found a program that allows you to ‘unpark’ your drives- allowing your game to take advantage of more of your CPU.

Used in combination with Overwatch, Save Cleaner and a whole bevy of other fixes, you’ll be enjoying faster gameplay from now on!

Quick n’ Easy Tutorial

Download & install ParkControl (Here: https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/)

Run the program

Under Parking AC & Parking DC, disable both options. Click Apply. Don’t touch anything else.

That’s it! Now enjoy buttery-smooth gameplay and less lag!

When I’m done, I usually turn Parking AC & Parking DC back on until the next time I play.

FYI this program does not alter any Sims game files- it changes whether or not your computer puts aside CPU cores to extend battery life (which doesn’t matter since you’re probably going to be plugged in for the Sims 3).

Windows 7 is programmed to use 4 cores at any time, so don’t worry about any parked cores being used for background tasks. If you’re concerned about your computer, set the percentage under Parking AC/DC to leave one core parked. If you’re using a laptop like I am, I would also suggest using a temperature monitoring software like Speed Fan or Core Temp regardless of whether or not you unpark your drives.

If your drives are already unparked, if you have Windows 8+, or you have a computer that can barely run the Sims 3, then this program likely won’t help. Read the MTS thread for a more thorough explanation and discussion.

I found that:

Loading times were improved

Catalogue items, Create-a-Style & Create-a-Sim loaded up faster

Gameplay was faster & smoother

Instead of 4 cores, I was able to fully use 8 cores. Obviously this will differ depending on your computer CPU.

For anyone with doubts- just back up your Sims 3 Documents folder before trying this!

Hello! This is a small gift I made for all of you for supporting me and just being wonderful <3 It took me ages to find something I wanted to make and could make, and in the end I came up with this small posepack! I also converted the incredibly talented @serenebluesims 's lilly of the valley accessory! Thank you so much to them for letting me do this! This is my first time making poses and converting an accessory, so there may be a few problems. However, I've checked everything in my game and there aren't any issues I've come across (besides small clipping with the poses). Let me know if you find anything wrong, or have any issues - I'm happy to help!

Knitting Mod - Released!

Get yer needles ready. It's time.

Knitting! This mod adds a knitting interaction and skill to the game.

To get started, buy a pair of knitting needles. You'll also need to purchase yarn to knit with. The knitting bag can be used to store knitting needles and yarn, so if you have a family of knitters, or just a sim who likes to knit an awful lot, it's a convenient way to keep the items together.

You can knit items or just practise. Skill up to get better at making more advanced projects.

Traits will affect how fast, successful, and happy sims are at knitting, and there are 6 custom moodlets related to knitting.

There are few things I want to look into adding/changing, so there will likely be updates coming up.
