What if the reason Aphmau truly believes that her name is Aphmau as opposed to Irene, is because her name truly is Aphmau.

What if Irene is the persona. A name she uses in the public eye to protect her family and keep her private life well.. private.

It would explain why she’s so adamant that her name is Aphmau. That she is Aphmau and not Irene. Because she is Aphmau.

And if you think about it, the only thing she had when she woke up in the woods was the clothes on her back and a name. Her name. Aphmau.

High school was a nightmare because Gene tried so hard to act cool and tough and like he didn’t care about Dante except then the second Dante like took a tumble during soccer he was losing his mind
