U have heard this sentence slipping out of Niki’s mouth thousands of times.

It isn’t that u get jealous a lot, or it is! But how could u not get jealous when your friend Niki was hanging out with a girl? Yes, u were 10, and yes u were young, but u still had feelings.

Nevertheless, Niki treated u the best way. He was so kind to u, so soft with u, he was treating u like a real boyfriend. Despite the strong relationship between u two that stopped u from dating each other, u both were developing feelings for each other.

U couldn’t like him when he was treating you that way when u were the only female in his life (except the few girls he dated for two days and then stopped hanging out with them telling u they aren’t like u), u couldn’t when he was literally with u every day.

But nothing lasts forever, isn’t it?

After getting older, the feeling of wanting a boyfriend grew inside u, and u were really in need of a boyfriend.

U watched the girls around u holding their partners’ hands and bragging about how he bought her this expensive necklace, but you? U had only Niki in your life.

And Niki never thought about making a move, being the scary cat, he is.

He was afraid of losing u, and he wasn’t ready for this. U were his only friend, his only crush, and his only love, and he wasn’t ready for this.

So, to distract yourself and your thoughts about Niki, u decided to set your eyes on another boy, Jake.

Jake was your school’s handsome boy and was pretty close with Niki. U knew that jake had something to u, he has always looked at u, and tried to flirt with u, so why won’t u try?

And luck was by your side when he came to u today to talk to u, asking u if u could attend his party. Of course, u agreed without hesitation, in hope of getting close to him.

Moreover, Niki was always present at his parties since he is jake’s friend.

On that day, u texted Niki before the party and sent him pictures of the dresses to choose one for u to wear. Of course, Niki chose the most unattractive dress that covers all your body, knowing damn well that if u wore one of the two other dresses u will look extremely attractive, and one of the boys would come and ask for your number.

Niki knew that u would look pretty, even in that dress he chose, but what would he do when the two other dresses barely covered anything?

Boldly, u refused his choice telling him that u will wear the short dress so that everyone would be attracted to u tonight, and before Niki would respond, u hanged out in his face. Getting ready for the party.

Niki threw his phone in anger, the thought of u wearing one of the two dresses and attending the party made his blood boil in his veins.

"Why does she ask me if she already chose the dress?” he yelled, kicking the air with his legs.

Just as u entered the party, all the eyes were on u.

U looked pretty this night, especially with that short red dress hugging your figure perfectly. With dark red lip-gloss, and your hair falling down your back.

As soon as u entered the party, your eyes fell on Jake, so u waved to him excitedly, then u walked towards him.

When Jake saw u, he greeted u excitedly, eyeing your dress from head to toe.

“Wow! Are u an angel or something? U look Hella pretty tonight" Jake said smiling

"What do u mean, Jake? I've always been pretty" u jokingly said.

"This dress looks ugly” a voice from behind u said, and u immediately knew it was no one but the devil himself.

“Stop Niki this isn’t funny”

"u are flirting with my best friend while I'm standing? This isn't funny as well" He said with a blank face, eyes staring into yours madly. U were about to reply but u felt jake’s hands holding yours, so u looked up at him.

“what’s wrong jake?”

“Would you like to have a dance with me, lady” u blushed as u heard his sentence, and u nodded, eyes avoiding his and cheeks flushing.

Jake held your hand and was about to go when another hand grabbed your free hand, stopping u in place.

“No this can’t happen” it was the devil himself

“Why?” Jake asked, tilting his head and smirking

“Cuz, she promised to dance with me not u dumbass” Niki said, eyes burning holes at jake’s hands which were holding yours.

“No, I didn’t promise u Nik-” u were cut off by Jake

“Then go” and then jake left your hands, looking at Niki and raising his eyebrows, smirking.

“What do u mean by go?” Niki said, totally pissed off.

“She doesn’t like u anyways, the person she wanna dance with is me” he said pointing to himself.

Niki felt the blood rushing to his head, and his free hand formed a fist. How could his friend do this to him?

U quickly noticed how Niki started clenching his jaw, and u saw his hands forming a fist. So u decided to do something.

“I’m sorry Jake, I will go now with Niki” u threw Jake an apologetic look before dragging Niki away.

Jake stood in his place smirking; eyes glued to the view of u two holding hands.

“Two stupid kids in love,” he said giggling.

U took Niki outside the party, walking in the streets near the house. Of course, Niki didn’t leave u walking in that dress that barely covers anything, so he offered u his jacket as the gentleman he is.

Niki calmed down as he walked hand-in-hand with u in the calm streets, the cold air hitting his face and blowing the few strands that slipped on his eyes.

U couldn’t help but admire how your bestfriend looked right now, he looked so attractive. His sharp jawline, his side profile, and his nice figure, how didn’t u make a move until now?

“I almost had a chance with Jake” u mumbled lowly, cutting the comfortable silence that filled the air.

“no it can’t be Jake- and don’t talk to me” he sulked, pouting as he looked in front of him, eyes avoiding yours.

“Stop getting jealous, u are acting like u are my boyfriend or something,” u said jokingly, imitating him as he always told u this sentence.

Niki stared down at u as he heard your sentence, and then he leaned dangerously close to your face.

“If I was your boyfriend, would u stop looking at boys?” Niki blurted out, eyes staring into yours.

“Stop telling your thoughts out loud Niki, u can’t be my boyfriend when u don’t like me so I would stop looking at-“ u were cut off by him.

“still didn’t answer my question, would u stop looking at boys if I was your boyfriend?” now your faces were too close, too too close.

“Niki, for real stop joking, some people might think u are serious” u whispered lowly, cheeks turning bright red and eyes looking into his shyly.

Niki didn’t respond; instead, he pulled u closer by your waist, making your body hit his chest lightly.

Niki knew it was now or never, so he had to do something. He had to show u that he likes u. That he loves u. Even if he is going to lose u, he can’t keep hiding his feelings anymore.

Niki leaned closer to your face, brushing his nose against yours, his hot breath hitting the skin of your cheeks, and then he moved closer to your ears, stopping there.

“I’m not joking around y/n” he whispered with his deep voice in your ears, sending shivers down your spine.

When u turned to look at him and found that his lips were too close to yours, u immediately blushed and hid your face in his chest.

Was this really happening right now? Does he ... Like u? I mean why would he do that if he doesn’t like u?

Your thoughts were cut off when Niki left your chin up softly, making u stare into his eyes

“are u shy from me now, y/n” he said giggling teasingly, a soft smile spread on his face.

U couldn’t help but blush even more. U tried to hide your face in his chest again, but his fingers which were wrapped around your chin prevented u from moving.

Niki then once again leaned closer to your face, pulling u closer by your waist so that your chest hit his.

U swear u could hear his heartbeats from your place, his hands which were on your waist now slightly shaking.

He was about to do something, and u knew it.

And in a blink, Niki pressed his lips against your sweet ones, taking u by surprise.

U were shocked when u felt his soft lips on yours at first, but after he started moving his lips on yours, u couldn’t resist but kiss him back.

His lips felt so good on yours, the way your lips completed each other like puzzles made u feel like heaven.

it was your first kiss, and his too, but if anyone saw u two, he would bet that u had been together for ages.

The way u wrapped your hands around his neck, deepening the kiss, and the way he pulled u closer and closer each second by your waist, oh god, it felt so good.

After a few minutes which felt like hours, u finally pulled away, resting your forehead on his, trying to catch your breath.

“u kissed me back y/n, u like me” he said teasingly, a big smile painted on his lips.

U pushed him away by his chest shyly, freeing yourself from his grip.

U were about to say something but with his intense gaze on u, and the way he was still staring at your lips hungrily, u couldn’t say anything. So, u decided to just run away.

“One last kiss y\n please!” he said giggling, but u were already sprinting to the house, heart almost escaping from your chest.
