Keeping on the massive crush Bruce, I have this headcanon for all of the batfam.
Talking how Dick just giggles and twirls his hair when Wally is talking about the stupidest thing and laugh about anything the speedster says.
Talking how Jason tries his best to not blush at any flirty pass that roy does, and later in his safehouse just swoons and giggles and kicks his feet because roy called him pretty bird and does the same thing he did to be called that again the next time.
Talking tim dreamily agreeing to anything kon says, and doing the classic laying his hand the bicep when laughing and calling him funny altho the joke was dry as fuck.
Talking how Damian is just like Bruce, stoic and serious on the outside, scolding Jon like usual but on the inside he's just a confused teenager because omg Jon looked extra cute and his guilty face was so adorable.
I like to see the superfamily be all gone for the bats, but I absolutely love when the roles are reversed.
I'm gonna travel and when I come back I will draw sleepy bucky and then sleepy sambucky bc I like to see them comfortable and happy doing domestic shit
I love the headcanon that Kyle has a good sense of style in every way possible. Talking about good fashion style, good taste in decoration, and good overall.
I imagine that when it's time to go to the club, soap goes to Kyle to ask for an outfit bc he knows Kyle has the most stylish clothes and is actually good at styling.
Kyle realized that he was the background character, the one that everyone forgot until he offered his services. It's even more crushing knowing that he was in a relationship with the others 3 members of the 141.
He realized that after a new sergeant became a permanent stay. He was everything Kyle was but better. He matched energy with Soap, handled Ghost with care and Price saw him as an equal. Those were Kyle's jobs, but when someone better comes along, he gave up. He started to hide, spend time by himself, wishing that one of them would come and ask him if everything was okay. But when Kyle wasn't offering himself to them, he was forgotten.
The true breaking point was when Alex called for their weekly talk and Kyle just broke down.
"I can't do this anymore." Between sobs, hiccups and lack of breathing, Kyle was able to say what happened, how he felt. Alex understood, tried to calm him down through the phone and suggested a solution.
"Come here, I will tell Farah, she will request you temporarily."
Alex was furious but also not surprised, because he knew Kyle was going to have a hard time fitting with 3 men that already each other on different levels. Kyle was a new addition, Kyle was a regular soldier that happened to be good what he did, Kyle didn't have anything besides his skills to standout and bond with this men, men that were excellent at what they did, men that knew intimate parts of each other from the very beginning, men that bond over past happenings. Kyle didn't had those, his only set back his fragile mind and his even fragile heart. Alex warned Kyle that he was entering a new world that did not connected with him, but Kyle accepted the challenge. And this was the result, a Kyle, someone who did his best to hide his fragile mind and heart, broken by love, because he still loved them, Kyle said he cannot not love them, he just needed to find himself.
"Farah requested you for her forces." Price said, handing him a paper for him to sign that he conceded to go "says the time is indefinite, she will send u back when she deems fit."
Maybe Kyle should had waited a minute, pretending to ponder or to ask time to think, but no, he grabbed the pen, said nothing and sign.
"Are u sure? U gonna be apart from us"
"I'm sure." Again Kyle should had seen less eager, but he couldn't.
"O-okay"
"Can i go? I have to pack" Kyle asked, again, hurriedly, really not caring anymore, now knowing that he was going to be with the two people that always put him back together.
Price blinked once and twice, stunned confused and hurt, but he stuttered out a yes and watched the sergeant leave "we will miss you." He said lastly, as Kyle was at the door.
The last words he received from his sergeant, the person he loved, hurt him in ways he couldn't think of.
"I don't think so Captain." And Kyle left. Closing the door in that soft way he always does.
Price stood up, ready to follow Kyle and ask what did he meant? What they done to evoke something like that? What can he do to fix it? But then his phone rang, and he was about to ignore it when he saw Farahs name light up.
"Yes?"
"Did Kyle sign the paper?"
"Yeah, I'm gonna send it later, I just-"
"You had your chance John, send the papers now please."
"What do you-"
"Let him come here, send the papers now, Captain."
No no no.
Not Price with Ghost on a leash.
Not Soap with Ghost on a leash.
But Gaz with Ghost on a leash.
Think about it right? We have a man who can AND WILL choose war crimes to solve and issue. Now give him a man who follows orders for every crumb of love he can give? Baby they'd be unstoppable.
Gaz has the mind of a thorough planner, cool and collected, but will go berserk when need be. So I see Gaz using Ghost as a ace up his sleeve. Holding Ghost back for the right moment and definitely when the opposing team isn't expecting it.
In return? After the mission Simon will gladly beg for and accept whatever Gaz's perverted mind has after seeing his dog being taken off of his leash.
I like to think that Gaz uses Soap to get stuff he wants. Don't get him wrong, he knows if he bats his eyelashes and pouts a bit he will get a free pass for almost anything (it works better with Price) but it takes a while for that to happen.
But with Soap? The man has natural puppy eyes ans cute face, plus those blue eyes put anyone under a spell. Soap just needs to pout and look like a kicked puppy to get a free pass for anything.
And Gaz is not jealous, no he's not, because that means he can use soap for whatever he wants because soap is weak for Gaz and his pretty and Gaz always brings rewards for Soap. It's a win win situation.
"You do know that Gaz uses you for free stuff?" Ghost had questioned soap one day while they were cuddling on the lieutenant bed.
"Pfft, of course Ah do! What do ye take me for, an idiot?"
"Sometimes."
"Hey!" Soap hits half heartedly Ghosts chest next to where he's laying on "but I do know I always get something out of it anyways. Besides I like to see him pout to get me to do it."
"Both of you are hopeless."
every time gaz is replaced with konig in fics, not only does an angel lose its wings but I also projectile vomit everywhere.
What's ghost like when he's had a few too many?
Anon this ask came at a great time. I was writing a very tipsy Ghost snippet and i decided to flesh it out a bit more and finish it up to answer here. Bit long so there's more under the cut but here's what I came up with:
The pub was dimly lit, warm, and humming with soft chatter. Outside, rain pattered against the windows, a steady rhythm that only added to the cozy atmosphere. The 141 had commandeered a snug corner, a mismatched set of chairs pulled around a sturdy wooden table. They were celebrating—a successful mission wrapped up and a few extra days of leave in the States, a rare moment to relax as a team.
Price nursed a whisky, leaning back in his chair, his hat resting on the table beside him. Soap and Gaz were deep in a debate about some football match, their voices animated, hands gesturing wildly. Ghost sat on the bench seat, mask firmly in place, sipping cautiously from a pint of lager.
Price knew better than to let Ghost’s quiet exterior fool anyone. Despite his size and the fearsome reputation that preceded him, Ghost was a complete lightweight when it came to drinking. It was something Price had discovered by accident years ago, a rare night off where Ghost had indulged a little too much. Since then, Price had made it his unofficial responsibility to keep an eye on him during team outings.
Tonight, though, Ghost seemed unusually relaxed. He’d already had three pints, which Price knew was about his limit, but when Soap shoved another drink his way, Ghost didn’t refuse. Price’s brow furrowed, but he let it slide. One night of letting loose wouldn’t hurt.
As the hours ticked by, Ghost’s behaviour started to shift. It began subtly enough. He leaned closer to the table, resting his forearms on it and nodding along to Soap’s increasingly ridiculous stories. Then came the touches. Ghost rested his hand briefly on Gaz’s shoulder as he laughed at one of his jokes, his grip lingering just a second too long. Gaz froze, then shot Soap a look of sheer bewilderment.
When Soap said something particularly absurd, Ghost reached out and pinched his cheek with a low chuckle. “You’re an idiot, Johnny,” he said, his voice lighter than usual. Soap’s eyes widened in mock horror, though the grin he wore betrayed his amusement.
“Fuckin' hell, LT. You’re touchy tonight,” Soap teased, leaning slightly closer as if testing his boundaries. Ghost didn’t push him away. Instead, he gave Soap a lazy shove that barely moved him.
“Don’t get used to it,” Ghost muttered, though there was no heat behind the words.
Gaz, emboldened by Soap’s success, nudged Ghost with his elbow. “Didn’t know you were such a cuddler, sir.”
Ghost turned to him, and for a moment, Gaz thought he’d crossed a line. But then Ghost slung an arm around his shoulders, pulling him into a side hug. “Don’t push your luck, Kyle,” he said, but the softness in his tone, and the use of his name, made Gaz grin.
Price, watching all this from his seat, felt a surge of amusement and something warmer. It wasn’t often Ghost let his guard down, and it wasn’t lost on him how much trust it took to do so, even after all these years.
By the time Ghost finished his fourth pint, he had switched seats with Gaz as the sergeants' debate continued, wanting no part in it. He was leaning heavily against Price’s side. His mask had come off somewhere in the haze of laughter and drink, revealing a face that was relaxed and uncharacteristically open.
“You alright there, Simon?” Price asked, his voice low and warm.
Ghost hummed in response, nuzzling slightly into Price’s neck. “You’re comfortable,” he mumbled, his words slurred but content.
Soap’s jaw dropped. “Did he just…?”
Gaz looked equally shocked but also thoroughly delighted. “I’m seeing it, but I still don’t believe it.”
“He’s had a few too many,” Price defended, though there was no mistaking the fondness in his tone. He shifted slightly to support Ghost’s weight, one arm coming around to rest at his waist. Ghost nestled closer, his breathing slowing as sleep crept in.
“You’ve got to admit,” Soap said, grinning, “it’s nice to see him like this. Kind of adorable, actually.”
Price rolled his eyes but didn’t argue. As Ghost’s head dipped against his shoulder, Price ran a hand gently through his hair, an instinctive gesture meant to soothe. Ghost let out a soft sigh, his body going completely limp as he fell asleep.
“Alright, boys,” Price said quietly. “Help me get him back to the house.”
“You’re not moving him,” Soap pointed out, gesturing to the way Ghost clung to Price like a barnacle. “He’s not letting go and he needs the sleep.”
Gaz leaned forward, grinning. “Come on, Cap, let him rest a bit longer. He looks… happy, you know? When do you ever see that?”
Soap nodded enthusiastically. “Aye, he’ll be dead embarrassed in the morning, but right now? Let ‘im have it.”
Price considered it for a moment, then sighed. “Fine. Few more minutes. But you two are carrying his kit back.”
As the conversation continued around him, Ghost stirred slightly, his brow furrowing as he shifted closer into Price’s warmth. His eyes blinked open briefly, and a flash of awareness crossed his face as he realised he was maskless and nestled against his captain.
He stiffened for a heartbeat, but then Price’s hand slid gently through his hair again, the soothing motion grounding him. “It’s alright, Simon,” Price murmured, voice low enough that only Ghost could hear.
The tension melted away. Ghost let out a soft sigh, his eyes fluttering closed as he settled back against Price’s shoulder. For a man who never let his guard down, he looked completely at ease.
Price gave it another few minutes before deciding it was time to move. “Right,” he said softly, shifting Ghost just enough to get them both to stand. Ghost murmured something incoherent but didn’t protest as Price kept an arm securely around his waist, guiding him towards the door.
As they gathered their things and prepared to leave, Soap and Gaz exchanged grins. They’d be teasing Ghost mercilessly about this come morning, but for now, they let the moment settle. Their lieutenant, who seemed carved from stone most days, had a softer side. And seeing it, even briefly, made the bond they shared as a team feel unbreakable.
Price, Ghost still nestled against him, led the way into the foggy night, a satisfied smile on his lips. For all the chaos they faced, moments like this made it all worthwhile.
Roy and Jason ship is such deep and messy relationship that one day I would like to explore.
They both have issues (no, one is not worse then the other, they have issues that are bad for them don't fight me) and it would be such a way to explore how they handle those issues together. Jason is probably a wall made of concrete that won't let anyone enter no matter what, and roy has tried to jump over the same way some people did to him when he was an addict, but he can't and roy has to live knowing that he only has less than half of Jason's heart.
Maybe one day I will write something long for them
Out of all batfam relationships the ones that carry more angst and conflicts are jayroy and timkon.
Timkon - mainly because of kon being a successful science experiment on clones. Everyone sees him as an unstable experiment, expects him to snap and destroy the world. They spent most times guessing which personality he's going to have - lex or Clark's- forgetting that kon is a human being with a soul and a mind of he's own.
Jayroy- cmon they are the receipt for angst. Ex drug addict that did a lot of mistakes, hurt a lot of people, had a daughter that he didn't know, but he turned a new leaf and became better for those that remained and came after. But people only see him as the drug addict- even thought most didn't know him at that time- don't see him more than an untrustworthy person that can relapse anytime. But jason also has his luggage. He had trauma of when he died, it still creeps on him in the most expect moments, the Lazarus pit is something that changed him every way bc no matter how much u wanna make him normal he isn't and can't bc that pit changed the way he is human - his new normal different than what people expect him to be - but the real jason (a mix of the old and the new jason and something more) shows up when he sees he can, when he's comfortable when he's happy with the situation and vibe. And they have a good relationship bc they have the same problem - they have trust issues, they have problems trusting people bc for both they had people leaving them (the reason doesn't matter, it can't matter bc in their eyes they left and nothing else matters) and bc of that they also built walls around themselves as a couple bc they want to protect each other from the evils around them
I could write a whole thesis abt Jason and Roy's relationship
Birdflah!!! Where Wally slowly realizes that Dick is surrounded by gingers and it dawns on him that dick's type is gingers.
Wally: did you hooked up with roy?
Dick: uh no? Like I had thing for him but he preferred them violent and traumatized.
Wally: *knows that roy is with jason* okay
Wally: did you hook up with Artemis?
Dick: yeah, twice long ago, we were like 18 or something.
Wally: okay.
Wally: did u hook up with kori?
Dick: that one was more than a hook!! We had actually a good relationship that lasted long, but then she wanted other things and left so yeah.
Wally: *remembering that Dick and kori talk alot on the phone and stuff* okay.
Wally: what are the chances of me preventing dick from meeting another ginger?
Tim: slim. He's a ginger magnet.
Jason: and he has a tendency to fuck them, roy was the only exception.
Wally: so I have my days counted??
Tim: not exactly. I think dick is serious about you. I mean besides kori, most of his gingers hooks up where during your speedforce era.
Wally: does that mean...
Tim: you gonna be on family dinners for a very long time.
Wally: YES. TAKE THAT GINGERS!!
