After consulting with Ling, May, and Lan Fan, Al ended up writing the story of the Promised Day as a Xingese fairy tale, primarily from Ling and May’s point of view. He felt that the world needed to know the story somehow and the others agreed.

Fullmetal Hylian Au: Lt. Colonel Chrom Lowell (art by NaijMizuho)

When it came to who would be replacing Maes Hughes for this Au, I couldn’t think of anyone better than Robin’s best friend, Chrom, from Awakening. Chrom is by all means, a good man, and certainly one of the best lords in Fire emblem. So naturally he’d fit the father type figure they Meas Hughes has. Unfortunately like Meas Hughes, Chrom won’t love to see the final battle. Now I’m sad.

Lt colonel Chrom Lowell is the head of the Ragna Ferox investigation department, he’s good friends with Colonel Robin Daraen, the flame alchemist, and takes on a father-like figure for Link and Aryll. The most honest man in the military, Chrom will do anything for his friends and family. Unfortunately that may come back to bite him in the story.

Oh my god… Izumi looks hot!

misc. FMA:B edits! spiritual successor to my Ishvalan Elrics edits. in order:

Black Izumi Curtis (with dark skin, full lips, and a wider nose). Her dreadlocks suit her much better if she’s Black.

General fixes to Jerso (particularly his lips, irises, and skin tone) to make him less of a caricature and an edit giving Paninya Black features (curly 3c hair, a wider nose, full lips) and a slightly darkened skin tone.

Hawkeye’s back scar. The burning is more extensive, covering more of the tattoo, and the parts of it that are visible are distorted, broken, or faded.

Four panels of eye colour edits. In the show, eyes glow red for dramatic effect, but in my opinion this undercuts an awesome and thematically important subversion from the Ishval chapters: instead of red eyes being shorthand for evil, they’re the feature of an oppressed people, and in Scar’s memories, it’s the bright blue eyes of the Amestrians that stands out and becomes synonymous with evil. Giving the Homunculi and blue-eyed Amestrians glowing red eyes negates the impact of that. So, I edited the glow to show the characters’ actual eye colours: Olivier Armstrong has blue eyes, King Bradley has turquoise, Pride has purple, and Father has gold.

More fixes of Black characters; Kremin, Harris, Damiano, and Focker. Each of them have full, non-caricatured lips, less ashy skin, and and bigger irises. Kremin has eyebrows and Focker’s are less thin. Harris has a sharp edge to his hairline, and Damiano’s has a 4b texture.

Mustang and Hawkeye in their epilogue photograph, with the mustache edited out. Mustang’s uniform (with three stars indicating his rank of General) is visible, as it was in the manga version. Also, he is still blind.
