Do You Know This (Non-canon) Autistic Character?
Evidence below the cut!
Moonwatcher is definitely at least autistic-coded, due to Moon’s relationship with her physic powers and her interacting with others being similar to and/or relatable for people who have (symptoms of) autism.
A few of these symptoms include Moonwatcher feeling overstimulated and/or overwhelmed from hearing multiple others thoughts and her visions of the future and Moonwatcher having and/or had trouble with socially interacting with others.

TW: Ableism
Moonwatcher has a mother - Secretkeeper - who views Moon’s powers as a ‘curse’ and assumes that any dragon who has powers like Moon is miserable from having them. Secretkeeper told Moonwatcher that Moon must hide her powers no matter what or else everyone would either reject or hate Moon for telling others about that part of herself -
Which honestly feels quite similar to a neurotypical mother telling their autistic child that they must hide who they are or else they will not be accepted to other people (A Mom who also possibly even views their kid’s autism as a ‘illness’ too.)
Coughs up blood. I ljike them
The question is "kill yourself"

This pain will end one day, and I believe in that. We are going through great hardships, but hope has always been in my heart. The freedom for Palestine is now closer than ever🥹🇵🇸
I personally think Chameleon's skywing name should have been Phoenix, not Soar. He left his old life behind and lived as a skywing (and many other dragons) instead. Tui was already being on the nose with his names with Chameleon and Shapeshifter, why not add onto that and name him Phoenix?
can I use these for my background?

Day 10 for @wof-october-prompts!! Today's prompt was "Cave" and I had the idea this morning to draw the Dragonets of Destiny returning to their old cave home after the story's over. Get some closure, hopefully bury Dune, get some scrolls they'll need for JMA.
If I'm honest I'm... not entirely happy with this one. But even if I aimed high I fell short; five characters is A LOT, and I am happy with the character's expressions and the rendering detail, so I'm trying not to let it bother me too much.
fair take
I've seen closed fantribes get compared to NFT shit, and that makes me feel a little weird.
Like, okay, I get it. You guys don't like closed fantribes. I also have very complicated feelings about them!! But NFTs suck so much harder omg. A lot of NFTs contain stolen art, AI art, or just really bad quality art (also, they're bad for the environment) (and a lot more). You can't compare that to some of the drop-dead GORGEOUS, detailed, hand-made designs I've seen come out of some these fantribes. You can make more of a case for MYO tickets and junk, but give the artists with actual talent a tiny break 😭 Honestly, a lot of them just wanna pay their hospital bills and afford food (and closed fantribes just tend to grab more attention/money).
Again, I 100% understand the beef with closed fantribes and agree with the criticisms people make about them. But to me, NFTs are a whole new level of ew.
Probably gonna get eaten alive for this opinion, but this IS an account for hot takes, so 😁

I think my nuclear-level, get me kicked off the internet take is that Glory *does* have the kind of trauma that would lead to her being in a relationship with a much older man, and I say that as someone who got groomed as a teen myself. She had her boundaries and self-image *deeply* violated by her only parental figures and that sort of thing can lead to maladaptive approval-seeking in non-family spaces. Someone like Deathbringer who fawns over her so easily in a sea of "never good enough"-s like that can be intoxicating and make you ignore a lot of warning signs.
Related to that, I always thought it was a little frustrating how the opening chapters of book 3 draw attention to how she kind of liked being Scarlet's work of art because it was an opportunity to rest and be appreciated by someone that wasn't her siblings for once in her life, and then that feeling just gets...squashed and never followed up on?
I still firmly believe the age gap was a worldbuilding error but I think if you wanted to write Glorybringer as an age gap to explore the tension between her self-sufficiency and closed-off nature vs her desire for approval as a result of parental abuse, that's a valid and interesting direction to take her character. Am I projecting my experiences onto Glory? Definitely, but I see a lot of myself in her and I think with enough care and responsible writing there's a story to tell there.
