I just came across this story and I'm absolutely in love with it
Good day, doctor
As you may already know, I was able to enter the private exhibit “The Y Collection” with some of the heads of state via invitation. As usual, I will tell you what I found, but before that I must tell you: hide this letter after you read it.
The meeting was quite pleasant at first, good chatter and good alcohol to keep it simple. However, it was when the exhibit started that things started to get interesting. Alongside some fossils, mesopotanian weaponry, and other junk, they showed us a human skeleton.
I must say that “human” is not a fitting name for it, but it is the one I will be using, as most of its body was exactly as the one of a normal human, except for the skull, the skull of this “human” was more akin to the one of a wolf. I am not a good artist and you know that well, but as cameras were not allowed in this event, I decided to sketch this skull instead.
According to the researcher presenting it, this skeleton and many others like it were discovered all across the world circa 90BC, mostly on cemeteries and ossuaries. They were actually of fairly common knowledge until the 1600s, when governments across the world came to an agreement to hide the skulls and erase them from public consciousness.
The how or why of this was not mentioned, the only thing they did specify is how as coverup, various werewolf novels were released to make the concept of a biped wolf seem as simple fiction.
I believe there is something more to these “humans” than they told us, if it was simply an ancient species, why would the government hide it? And even more worryingly, how? And what else have they made us forget?
Considering that I have gained the trust of those who attended the event, I will probably be invited to others in the future. I hope I am able to find more information, and to be able to safely send it over to you. I am not religious, but I know that you are, so if your God listens to you, I need you to say a little prayer on my behalf.
I hope you are okey wherever you are

Chapter 3
The noise of fire crackling softly lingered through the kitchen. Mr felicity and Mrs felicity washed various vegetables up and cut them into bits.
Then two small children ran through the kitchen playing with action figures. "Hey! You two slow down! You'll get hurt!" Mrs. Felicity warned the children. They both stopped in their tracks and speed-walked through the house. "RAHH, IM A BIG MEAN BEASTYY!" The little boy yelled with all his might while putting up his arms and making his hands resemble claws. He wore a striped shirt and khaki shorts, his hair was a mess and he had freckles all over his small face. "You don't have to be a mean beasty!" The girl said while holding an action figure with a cowboy hat and a long trench coat. "Hm...okay." The boy agreed and shook the hand of the action figure.
"WAIT NO! I WANT TO BE A ME-" The boys yelling was then stopped by loud knocking on the door. The two children looked at the door. "Oh, it's probably our neighbor again!" The girl cheered. She then ran down the hallway to the door, adjusting her skirt, and pulled down her shirt. She then reached for the doorknob and swung it open. "Hi Sop-" She then cut her sentence off. Instead of being greeted by her neighbor, she was greeted by a tall figure. She looks up to see a person with a cowboy hat and a white face and a long black trench coat that fell to his shins.
The person then looks down to reveal his robotic eyes and sunken face. "Uh..." the person hesitated, "Hi....are your parents home?" He asked the little girl who was in awe by how he looked. She stood there with her eyes wide open and her mouth wide open. "Are you...okay?" He hesitated while looking back at the girl, "What's wrong Erica" the little boy asked while running down the hallway. He then stopped behind Erica to take a look at who was at the door. "Is that..." the little boy trembled at the sight of the tall person, he took big steps back and was visibly fearful while Erica was ecstatic.
"EEK, I KNOW RIGHT? IT'S THE FRIENDLY SHADOW!" Erica squealed while grabbing Shadows' hand and dragging him inside. The little boy screamed and ran down the hall. Shadow was surprised by the girl not being frightened of him. He wasn't that surprised by the little boy's reaction, though. "Oh! Sorry, I think you should let your parents know first before dragging me in here." Shadow said with a slightly happy tone. The girl then looked at him with a confused look while attempting to pull him in even more. "Why not? The handymen always barge in. Isn't it better that you're invited than to barge in?" The girl said while smiling at him, then the boy and Mr felicity came rushing in while the boy wept in his arms. "Dad look! It's the friendly shadow!" Erica cheered. Mr felicities face then was washed with fear, Making his skin turn pale. He shuttered but remained calm while holding his crying son. "Who's at the door?" Mrs. Felicity asks while walking out of the kitchen, she then stops in her tracks to stare at Shadow and Erica. Mr and Mrs felicity then looked at each other in fear for a brief second.
Mrs felicity them looks back at Erica, "Erica, darling, leave him alone. He has business to attend to with us." Mrs felicity calmly advised Erica while signaling her to let go of Shadow. "Aww..." Erica pouted and hugged Shadow one last time before running to her mom, shadow and Mr felicity stood still glaring at each other. "We're gonna be in the backyard... I have to get something from the shed..." Mrs. Felicity whispered to her husband while walking away with the two kids, "Maria." Mr. Felicity said with his back turned, she stopped and turned around to him. "Light the candles when you're in the shed." He said with his head turned to the side looking back at her. She looks back at him with a serious face and nodded. Maria and her children open the back door to the backyard. It was now just Shadow and Mr felicity in the house.

Got a new sketchbook lol
O no! My autodale brainrot is back again! Anyways he's just smoking a cigar and looking cool while he smokes. I think on his down time he would just go outside or in his room and just try to relax or smth idk.
Actually im convicing all of my mutuals to watch Autodale
It's a dystopia city in which everything (including life) is automated and follows a never ending cycle, anyone who steps out of said cycle is deemed an "ugly"
I know it sounds very basic, but the execution is incredible, not only that, but the creator has videos in which he goes into detail on how the series is made, his inspirations, etc., which are very fun to watch and have given me a lot of inspiration
Content warnings just in case: The story has topics like homophobia, misogyny, ableism, and violence, lots and lots of gore and violence, in the first episode there is also the r-slur (it's not said, it is written in the mask of one of the characters, while it is not shown as a good thing it is the only dated part of the series)
Watch it it's very good horror I promise it's very good, it's no longer than 5 minutes, with the longest episode being 18 minutes long
FR, shadow does need a break! Also ty!!
-just a short little drabble about autodale. I just need fluff about Shadow :D
-Platonic shipping Y/n x The Friendly shadow. (You can think of it as romantic shipping too, only if you want though.)
Tw: none, just pure fluff, usage of y/n, and Shadow pushing you away at first :(
Context- you meet someone who may change everything for you here in Autodale.
Despite being a model citizen and having the world in your hands, you still felt empty. It felt like your life wasn't going forward. You needed something, something fun, like an adventure of some sort. You just didn't know where to start. That is until you met him, the friendly shadow.
Your first encounter with the old man was awkward. You met him in an alleyway on a dark and quiet night.
You don't remember what you doing outside this late, but you ran into him abruptly when you went in the alleyway. His tall and dark frame scared you at first. He didn't have his coat on but he had his hat on. You didn't scream but you were frightened.
On the other hand, you scared shadow too because you popped up out of nowhere and ran into him. He fell back and onto the wet concrete, making the puddle splash everywhere. His hat fell off and landed on your feet.
You could've ran, you could've just forgotten about the situation and went on with your life. But you couldn't, you were too damn kind for this grey world.
Instead, you picked up his hat and reached out your hand to the fallen old robot. "Are, are you okay?" You gulped, even though you were scared of him you still tried to help.
You remember how bright the eyes of the old robot got. You remember how he looked like he just experienced something new. But he was hesitant to take your hand, his eyes were racing with confusion and shock.
"Uhm." He then slowly reached out for your hand. "Yes uhm, I'm alright." His voice was deep and shaky. You pulled him up while holding onto his wide hat, he was heavier than you thought despite his arms being relatively skinny.
You remembered how tall he was and how pale his face was, it was almost as white as the mask you wore. His face was also wrinkled and he had dark eyebags that contrasted with his bright eyes.
You both stared at each other awkwardly, both of you not knowing what else to say or do. This was so new to both of you.
After a hot second, you cleared your throat and reached out to him with his hat. "I believe this is yours." You blurted out embarrassingly.
"Thank you, citizen." He muttered and took his hat from your hand swiftly, it almost seemed rude by how aggressively he took it. He then quickly turned around and walked quickly down the alley. Disappearing from the light and fading into the darkness of the alleyway.
That small gesture that you did, meant everything to him. Even though he left off in a hurry.
After your encounter, you and Shadow would run into each other more often at the most random places. It would start as you simply just waving to him and maybe even saying hi to him. But he never truly acknowledged you, he would just glance over at you with his bright eyes and scurry off somewhere else. Sure seeing his face in public was a little frightening (because he would walk between alleyways and or somewhere dark where other citizens couldn't see him) but you wanted to talk to him. He was like an alleyway cat that would come and go.
One night, you saw him again and you couldn't take it anymore. Your curiosity got the best of you.
"Wait a second!" You exclaimed before he disappeared. You spotted him in the same alleyway as always and stopped him before he walked away.
This caught his attention quickly, he flinched at you exclaiming at him. He stopped in his tracks and turned to face you. His eyes were pacing anxiously as his stance narrowed.
You ran to him across the empty street, adrenaline pulsing through your veins with every step towards him. This was your chance, ever since that day your curiosity about the old robot only grew more. You finally reached him and low and behold, you didn't know what to say.
You both just stood there awkwardly again. Shadows face painted with question and yours with shyness.
"Can I help you?" His voice cracked and he started to fidget with his hands. He wore his coat this time but with the middle unbuttoned, leaving his suit underneath exposed.
You inhaled the cold and dry air and tried to think of something to say. You've been wanting to approach him again ever since you met him and you don't have anything to say!?
"Ehm..." you croaked out a hesitant sound. You then took a hesitant step forward and he stepped backward in return.
You then exhaled and thought of something quick to say. "I don't believe we met properly." You said and held out your hand for a handshake. "My name is Y/N"
Shadow glanced at your hand hesitantly, his eyes beamed like the first time you had done this, only this time he wasn't on the floor making a fool of himself.
He retaliated back slightly, unsure of what to do. He stood so still, that it seemed as if he was paralyzed in place. His mouth opened slightly, preparing to say something.
"Okay." He muttered and attempted to turn around and walk away.
You weren't going to let him disappear into the darkness, not again. You then reached for his hand that swayed against his side and gripped it softly. "Wait." You softly exclaimed.
"I want to be friends!" You blurted out, tugging softly on his robotic arm.
His back was to you as he turned his head over his shoulder, his side profile was well-sculpted and he had the most defined cheekbones you've ever seen.
"With me?" He whispered and began to turn around. You let go of his hand and nodded your head awkwardly. "Me?" He repeated to himself as he stared at the concrete.
"I don't think" He hesitated with his fragmented sentence. His gaze softened for a slim moment before hardening again. "I don't think you should be my friend." He added as he attempted to sound stoic when in reality his voice was underlined with guilt.
He then turned around abruptly and attempted to walk away again. But my God, you were just too stubborn for rejection and you jumped in front of him.
"Wait wait wait wait, I know, I know that was very abrupt! But please! You seem very interesting and well I ju-"
"What do you want from me? No one wants a friendship unless they want something, what is it that you want?" He interrupted you very suddenly. He didn't sound annoyed, he sounded scared.
You flinched at his outburst and stepped back a little.
He then realized what he said and his wrinkled face was painted with guilt. His stance then became even more reserved and he started to fidget with his hands again.
"Oh geez, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to- I mean- I didn't-!"
"It's okay."
Your voice was calm and inviting. You interrupted shadows drabbles and you reached for him slowly. He watched your hand reach for him. Instead of moving backward, he moved toward your hand. You placed it softly on his upper arm.
"I'm sorry." He softly muttered and avoided eye contact with you. He was almost like a child who got in trouble and was apologizing.
"It's just, well, no one has ever asked me to be their friend. Let alone come up to me so comfortably. I- well, I'm just so sorry about how I reacted."
He then pauses and looks at you, his gaze is soft and his face is relaxing slowly. The glow of his eyes softly peaked through the brim of his hat.
"It isn't safe being my friend. Let alone you talking to me." He continued in his calm and deep voice.
"Why is that?"
"I..." He then looks away from you and looks at your hand that caresses his upper arm. He admires your hands for a second and continues his sentence.
"It... it just isn't okay? I care about your safety and everyone else's here in this town. My job isn't to make friends, it's to protect." He sounded so disappointed when he said that. He frowns and holds the hand that you're using to caress his arm.
You weren't going to accept that answer, you wanted to be his friend at this moment. Nothing would stop you. Even if you were labeled as ugly early, or anything else that wasn't pretty, it wouldn't stop you.
"That doesn't mean that you shouldn't have friends, it doesn't mean you should isolate yourself. Whatever it is that may be holding you back, just know that it isn't worth being in isolation."
His eyes beamed and he tilted his head to the side. "I..." He muttered hesitantly.
You then took off your mask, revealing your face to him. He didn't react to how your face looked, but he reacted on how you trusted him enough to show your face (especially since you two were outside/the public.)
You then sighed and slouched slightly. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have pushed you for something so selfish. I shouldn't have pushed so hard for something you're hesitant about. I'll le-"
"Wait." He blurted out and held your other hand that was idly on your side. You drop your mask on the concrete as he holds your hand.
His eyes paced rapidly tracing side to side. Before he finally closed them. He then exhaled softly and opened his eyes.
"I'll be your friend." He said like he had just gotten over a fear. He then interlocked your fingers with yours. You then let go of his arm and he held your other hand interlocking those fingers on his other hand with yours.
"Really?!" You blurted a little too loud as you grinned widely. You squeezed both of his hands but it hurt slightly since his hands were made of metal.
Your response shocked him but he seemed more happy. He grins slightly and stutters. "Oh uh, yes?" He softly chuckles at your response.
You both then calm down and you let go of his hands, it took him a second to let go of yours. "So uh, yeah!" You blurted out to fill the silence. Shadow chuckles and smiles to himself, it's odd seeing him smile but you don't care.
He then jerks up and he looks away from you. A few seconds later he places a finger on the temple of his forehead and says something. "Right, on my way." He mutters to himself. He then removes his finger from his forehead and looks back at you. You asked what happened and he said that it was just something he had to tend to urgently.
"I hope I can see you again." You say to him and put your mask back on. "I hope so too...y/n is it?" He asks hesitantly. "Yep!" You respond and reach your hand out for a handshake. He looks at your hand and reaches out to shake it.
He then turns around and walks into the darkness of the alleyway, but this time with a warm smile painted on his face. You wave to him as you walk out of the alleyway.
This certainly won't be the last time you'll see him.

A lone figure walks the sidewalks of the seemingly empty neighborhood. His path was illuminated by the tall and slender street lamps that were bent over depressingly, leaving a curved shadow that lay flat on the ground.
The figure himself wore a black fedora that hid all of his hair and a mask that covered his whole face which had a smile carved onto it. He wore a suit with a black tie and was holding plastic bags that were full of food.
His footsteps were then followed by a metallic clamping noise that got louder by the second. "Ugh...not now." He mumbles under his breath. The man then came to a halt and so did the noise behind him.
"Greetings, citizen." A formal and robotic voice said behind the man. He turns around to see a tall robot with a boxy structure and long legs and round beady eyes. The man clears his voice and stands up straight "Ah. Er- hello sir." He stuttered. The robot cocked his head to the side, "so uh, what's a dandy handyman like you doing here?" The man made a stupid remark and regretted what he said.
The handyman grew suspicious of the man and bent down to his level. "Hm. I see it's a late-night run to the store citizen." It said while turning its head to the bags the man was holding. "Oh, uh. Yes haha, my wife sent me to go and get food..." The man kept fumbling on his words making the handyman more and more suspicious of him.
"I'm so sorry sir, I'm in a rush to get home. I hope to see you around again" The man said while turning around. He then was abruptly stopped though by the handyman swiftly grabbing his shoulder and squeezing it, the man's anxiety was rising by the second and his anger was following too. "Wait...citizen." The handyman said, the man gulped in his anxiety and anger "...yes?" His voice cracked. "Have you noticed anything strange?" The handymans tone changed into a more serious fashion. The man turned his head to the side, "no sir...no." he stuttered again.
"Please, just leave me be you wreched thing." The man thought to himself. The handyman slowly was cocking his head to the side, the silence between them was deafening and awkward. "Citizen..." the handyman broke the deafening silence and its voice was noticably deeper. The man's heartbeat accelerated and he was breathing faster. "Not now not now not now not now no-"
"Be safe citizen." The handyman said in a chipper tone breaking the man's train of thought. Without a thought the man speed walked away from the handymans grasp and disappeared into autodales foggy night. The handyman jerked back and stood straight up.
Then another pair of metal clamping came behind the handyman. "Anything strange? An identical voice said from behind the handyman. "I would keep an eye on that citizen, something isn't right about him. The handyman said to the other as they both watched the man scurry off into the distance.
The man arrived to his one story home, there wasn't anything special on the exterior. What truly mattered was the interior of his home.
He unlocked the door to be invited by the smell of fresh watermelons that were freshly cut on the dinner table. A woman then walked out of a room, she was wearing a grey robe. Her eyes were a soft green and her hair was long and brown. The man sets the plastic bags down and closes the door behind him. When he turns back around the woman jumps and hugs the man "Oh!" He was surprised by her.
The man hugs her back and they both chuckle "I missed you~" she mumbled, she had a soft and sweet voice. "Oh please I was only gone for 30 minutes." The man responds sarcastically.
The woman then removes the man's mask to reveal his face, he had a pair of blue eyes and a round face. His cheeks were a flush of red due to his speed walking. "Is Erica in bed?" He asked her and she nodded yes. "How are the others?" He asked another question. The woman chuckles "Oh, they're alright. Sage and Charles changed the color of the lights down in the sewer by the way, Sage said it's more inviting."
She then lets go of the man and grabs one of the plastic bags "this one's for us right?" She asks the man, "yeah and the other is too, these three are for them." He responded while picking up the three plastic bags. "Thank you love" She smiled to him and he smiled back.
He then walks outside to the backyard. There wasn't anything there except for a broken-down shed that was backed up against a wall. He opens the shed doors to be welcomed by the smell of cut grass and oil. There wasn't much in the shed, just a lawn mower and gardening tools, and a large sheet of fabric that covered a circular lump.
The man walks in and closes the shed doors behind him. He then kicks off the sheet to reveal a rusted manhole. He then slides the cover off and squats down to look down at the dark abyss. The smell that was emitted was horrid and disgusting making the man audibly gag. "Out of all places, why the sewers..." He grumbled while standing straight up. The man sighed and jumped down the hole into the dark abyss.
The man absorbed the impact of his landing. He stared in the darkness before reaching for a light switch that was on the side. He felt a swich and flipped it up to reveal lights that emitted a rainbow glow. "Yep... definitely inviting alright." He chuckled while walking down the sewers tunnel guided by the welcoming rainbow lights.
As he walked there was an end to the tunnel, at the end was a door with the words "DO NOT ENTER" scribbled all over it. The man then knocked in a rhythmical pattern. The doorknob then rustled slowly, squeaking ever turn. Suddenly the door creaked open and a hand creped across the door. A head then poked out of the crack.
"Hm? Oh hi, Mr felicity!" The mysterious voice said while revealing itself. It was a tall man who answered the door, he wore a fedora that curved to the side and revealed parts of his hair. His face resembled a oval and his eyes were a soft brown. His voice was dapper and he wore a knitted vest over a collared long-sleeved shirt. "Hi, Charles!" Mr. Felicity greeted Charles. "Oh, here by the way." Mr. Felicity continued and handed him the three bags full of food. Charles was shocked by Mr felicities kindness.
"Oh? Are you sure sir? This is a lot of supplies! Charles hesitated to accept this offer. Mr felicity then smiled "Charles, this is the bare minimum I can do for you and the group. What your doing is a wonderful thing for future generations. I could never step up to do this. So believe me when I say this is the least that me and my wife can do."
There then was silence between Mr felicities smile and Charles's confusion and gratefulness. "Oh... I'm... I'm speechless sir." Charles's voice cracked while taking the bags from Mr felicities hands. "Thank you Mr felicity!" He cheered and hugged him. Mr felicity hugs Charles back.
"It's late, hurry and go back up Mr felicity before the smell of the sewers rubs onto you," Charles says while letting go of Mr.Felicity. Charles sends Mr felicity on his way back and closes the door. He rests his back on the door and looks down at the groceries he then looks back up to the back wall which has a flag pinned up on it, the flag was colored red with a white stripe that ran across the middle. In the very center of the flag was an emblem that was an autodale mask split in half.
"For future generations" He mumbles to himself. "I like the ring of that." He continues smiling at this remark. In this seemingly black-and-white world there seemed to be a glimmer of hope. Hope to break free from autodales perfect cycle.

Chapter 2
Tw: mentions of alcohol and cigars.
"Every great city all have one thing in common, they all protect its people, whether encapsulating them from the dangers of the outside world to having impeccable security it all was still protection from danger. We, handymen, I'm serve to protect Autodale from these foreign dangers, and forever will! Hm? What do you mean I'm forgetting about someone?" The cartoony handyman questioned from the small and rusted tv. "Oh! How could I forget about our famous vigilante? The fri-" The rusted tv then abruptly changed to another film with a robotic hand adjusting the antenna on the top.
The mysterious figure then sat in front of the tv and wrapped his body with a blanket. On the screen was a black and white film with a woman standing near a cracked fountain that bloomed black roses ."You love me. Why didn't you tell me before?" A voice of a woman said from the tv. The light of the television bounced back from the mysterious persons face. His face long and was all white. He had wires coming out of the temples of his forehead and His eyes were robotic and glowed in the dark. He wasn't fully human but mimicked the form of one.
"I could not hold it anymore Marlene. I just had to tell you." The man said, then a low-quality violin solo was being played as the two embraced each other on the screen. The robot cocked his head to the side, he hunched over closer to the screen as his pupils dilated robotically. He then drinks a bottle of whisky that was left on the floor while keeping his gaze on the screen. The film then ends with the two people on screen in a warm embrace and the sound of people cheering as the screen closed in with the two of their faces being in a circle. The screen and the applause faded into black and the credits rolled in with an orchestra playing low-quality soft classical music in the background.
The robot then closes his eyes, he imagines he was in that scene instead of being in his dark, smelly and un-kept room. He imagined being outside, standing near a well with water trickling down it, embracing the smell of roses in the air, and imagined being held just like the woman was in the film.
"Shadow?" The robot then flinched at the voice, "AH! Oh...uh-" Shadow stuttered at this voice. He then tapped his finger to the side of his head "Yes hive?" He asked while gaining his train of thought again. "Ah, I thought you'd be asleep right now." Hive joked around with Shadow, she had a formal but gentle way of talking. "Anyways, freshen up Shadow. There's a case I want you to investigate." She said to him.
Shadow then removed his finger from his forehead, he then looks around his room. The walls were barren and grey, there wasn't any decoration in sight. The floor that he was sitting on was the exact opposite. The floor was littered with cigar buds and ash scattered everywhere every crevice of his room had ash or some sort of filth. The carpet of his room was stained with whisky stains and reeked of old alcohol and smoke. He looks back at the tv and looks back at his barren room before turning off the small and rusty tv.
Shadow then walks outside on the neighborhood sidewalks. He wore a long black trench coat and a large cowboy hat that covered the majority of his pure white face. "What do we know about these rebels?" Shadow asked hive, his voice was deep and he had a slight Scottish accent. "Not much was given to me, the handyman reported a man was acting odd and almost frightened by the handyman interacting with the man." Hive didn't know what else to say, she thought the situation was strange and so did Shadow.
He continued walking down the sidewalk while the sun illuminated the sky and slowly set on the horizon of Autodale's grey wall. He continued walking down the sidewalk until Hive told him to stop. "Are you certain this is where the man lives?" Shadow queered and looked at the grey one-story home. "I'm certain Shadow. Or at least the handyman was certain." Hive scoffed and Shadow proceeded down the driveway of the suspect's home.
Shadow then walks to the dark grey door and checks the address on the side. "5690, that's the one," Hive affirmed Shadow before he knocked on the door. He first pauses and looks around on the house's porch, it was decorated with one plant which bore a single red tomato and a black chair. The floor of the porch was wooden, and some of the floorboards were cracked and bent creaking every step Shadow took. Shadow then knocks on the door.
