“growing up” (scrapped project)

originally a rob/dob project featuring the 6 riders but i can’t decide if i want to finish it or not rn, so here are my fav cousins that are finished :)

How old would you say the teens are in your “growing up” scrapped project? To me it seemed like it takes places shortly after RoB/DoB but do correct me if I’m wrong. I also thought Hiccup replacing his original prosthetic with a new one to match with his rapid growth spurt was a very sweet touch.

WAHHH im so glad that u noticed that with hiccup!! that's exactly what i was trying to capture! this ask makes me very happy :')

i'd say they're around 15-16, maaaybe 17 but that's cutting it close, but definitely after the events of rob/dob.

i tried to make them look a bit older(longer honestly) than their rob/dob counterparts but keeping the style of their younger selves! hiccup's hair is ever so slightly poofier, and snotlout's face is a lot more defined.

(the original project was sort of the 6 of the riders lookin out into the horizon on some bench/ledge, enjoying their peace as they grow up. i might pick it up again one day!)

but yeah thats the jist of it! tysm for this ask!!!

Love love loveee your art!! I also love how you communicate the personality of each character through your drawing of them. I love how the twins seem so mischievous and fishlegs so cute and soft. I also really appreciate how much softer and seemingly gentle you have made snotlout, his characterisation it the tv shows (especially rtte) was some of my favourite growth and I feel like you have really captured that. I adore how feminine your astrid is without at all diminishing her strength. I also love how you convey hiccup’s growth both physically and in confidence too.

Sorry for the rant hahah but all that to say I really like your work and cant wait for more 🙈
