You know you’re just like me Next time I promise we’ll be perfect
Alternative title is: the formative experience of lighting up your cigarette with the one your friend, with whom you have an homoerotic relationship, is smoking. (Maybe too much of an specific experience of mine?)
let's talk a little about Gojo.
in the last chapter, I was upset by his reaction to Nanami's death, but at the same time I thought, they say, "maybe they were not so close with Nanami." yes, and most likely Gojo was already ready for the consequences in the form of the deaths of his comrades.
but in this chapter, on the news of the death of Director Yaga, Gojo said "okay" and something in me died for the second time.
The first time something died in me was when Gakukanji killed Masamichi. you should have just seen me crying. And now that we haven't seen ANY reaction from Yaga's closest disciple, I feel pain.
but!
no matter how terrible it looks, I think that Gojo simply stopped allowing himself to express at least some emotions, knowing what it can be like. Gojo had allowed himself few emotions before, and now he has become like a wall (and I'm not talking about his muscles).
he is the Strongest, this is his gift and curse at the same time.
but the strongest is still Gojo Satoru, and Gojo is an ordinary person who cannot help but feel emotions. therefore, it seems to me that he does not allow himself to think deeply about the news about the death of Nanami and Yaga in order to keep everything under control, so he responds quickly and dryly.
and as we see in this chapter, Gojo puts the blame for their deaths entirely on himself.
and it really hurts me.
let’s dance this light step
Something silly before the anime gets ... fun 🙃
Based off of this:
Good night, Satoru Gojo. by tinpan
[id: it’s two screenshots from the JJK manga. the first is of Geto talking about Gojo where he says “he was my best friend. but we fought, and it’s been like this ever since.” The second is of Gojo who is talking about Geto and says ”my best friend did. my one and only.” /end id]
These two panels really get me, Geto referring to their friendship as something that was in the past versus Gojo still viewing Geto as his best friend. The way they view their relationship is different but there’s still care between them. It also ties into Geto being surprised that Gojo still has some form of trust in him and prompts his last words of “you should at least curse me at the very end.” It’s sad that Geto never truly understood how much Gojo cared for him until it was too late
