AU where Longtail is chosen to be Firepaw’s mentor. Because Bluestar claims, “they both have a lot to teach eachother,”

At first Longtail is pissed and complains at every moment he can, but soon he becomes super protective of Firepaw and they develop a brotherly bond. Longtail is still rude, but he still feels a close bond with the fat little furball Bluestar bestowed upon him.

I feel like it would make Longtail more likable from the beginning without sacrificing his “being a bit of a dick but still loyal to the clan” attitude. It would mean 10x more to Fireheart when Longtail doesn’t go with Tigerstar and hurt Fireheart 100x more when Longtail is blinded. I just want more positive Long & Fire interaction.
