seeing your brows furrowed and the soft skin between them narrowed like messy bed sheets wasn’t such a dear sight to kenshin, even if it was yet another side of you. it sent his mind onto a restless trip, the one he didn’t quite appreciate given the worry it would come with. the concern would eat him alive, chewing onto his heart while the rollercoaster of his thoughts would take wilder and wilder turns the longer he remained in the dark in regards to what had caused you to be so blue.

you wouldn’t speak about it, instead excusing yourself from his presence when interactions became too much to handle. you never shot him a glare to imply he was the reason behind the passive downfalls of your mood, but you didn’t open up to the mighty dragon of war either.

he couldn’t stand it; he couldn’t bear to go on one more hour, one more minute with knowledge that he didn’t attempt to properly pull you out of those unpleasant waters you were swimming in. but what kind of approach would be the most suited was what he just couldn’t come up with…

blessed be sasuke, his beloved friend, for the smart man had given kenshin insight on how the fluffy things awaken the almighty serotonin ( whatever that may be, thought kenshin ) and could make for a perfect recipe to bring you out of your foul mood. the nerdy speech left the blonde man enlightened and motivated to cheer you up, and such, he had picked up his bunnies, as much as he could cradle within his arms, not worried about the rest, for he was certain they’d follow him without a shadow of a doubt.

this mighty army marched through the hallways and to your room, with kenshin announcing himself before strolling in with the most dedicated expression plastered across his features, his confident posture framed with softness of hyper bunnies, their soft ears twitching after every cutesy sniff or two.

“i’ve come to awaken your serotonin, or so,” kenshin voiced, parroting the foreign name sasuke had brought up and repeated over the course of his aid to his lord, “to cuddle.” with the straightest, most serious expression and gaze filled with absolute determination, kenshin spoke his order to the horde of bunnies, who seemed to have known of his command even before it had been spoken out, given that they’d marched towards your sitting form the moment you’d come into the view.

indeed, there was a smile upon your face as you’d taken in the adorably cheesy scene.
