Hi! Can I request some headcanons of reader giving comfort (or at least tried) to Damon Maitsu from P:EG after the events of the 1st Chapter?

I need to chill with the requests they're not going anywhere 💀

Damon Maitsu:

If you thought he was closed off before, you haven't seen the lengths he can go to

I think he would feel the strong urge to isolate himself but given his situation, he knows it's not the smartest so a lot of his actions are going to be conflicting

It's going to take him about for him to actually accept being comforted

It's only going to take him a bit because he hasn't processed yet and he has no clue what he wants

Literally no attempts you make will snap him out of it till he processes the situation fully

He'll literally just stare at you dully after every attempt till he gets his shit together

He'll actually get upset because he feels like he should be the one comforting you instead

He'll be a lot more talkative after just for your sake. He wants to make sure you're okay after so many failed attempts at trying to comfort him

I did say he doesn't initiate physical touch most of the time but this would be the exception

He would constantly have an arm around you or a hand on you

Mostly for his sake tbh. It's almost as if he wants to make sure that you're still with him

He'll also stick to you like white on rice. It's a strange sight to see but until the two of you are alright, that's how it's going to be

I don't think he'll want to talk about it much just because he knows that it'll eventually happen again and it'll just get worse (he's stubborn). Plus, if he thinks that talking about it will make YOU upset, there's no way in the world it's happening

He's just trying to figure everything out, and so are you. It's going to be strange but if that's what the two of you need to get through that, then so be it

[ Mayari struggles to find anything else for her to say to the TV show director. She knows that she has to talk to her more, but....... what if her voice isn't enough? Maybe Mallow might need another voice to hear. ]

[ She stands up, fixing her attire as she speaks. ]

"You might be......already sick of hearing me trying to talk to you through the door. If you ever change your mind and get out of your dorm room, I might be in the boiler room with Kuya Ciano, Hecate, Rylee, Tian, Autumn, and Sasha for a training session. Whether if it's at morning or noon, we aren't sure yet."

[ Mayari looks back at the door. ]

"Maybe if you were to join us, even for a bit...... it might help you from whatever fears you have and make you stronger. But, it's okay if you don't want to join. I just want to tell you this in case you'd get worried over us..... Anyway, that's all I have to say. Bye, Mallow."

[ She sighs, looks away from the door, and starts to walk away. ]

[ You hear a knock on the door of your dorm and a muffled voice. ]

"Mallow? It's Mayari. You haven't been out of your dorm room since the 2nd motive got revealed. Are you okay?"

Mallow stops her movements on where she was sitting on the couch, eating food while looking over a certain envelope. Should she reply? What if Mayari did have a card? Then what??

Mallow dies? She dies of uncertainty and doubt to the hands of an execution or knife? She can’t afford to lose another friend. So she’ll have no friends by the end of this.

You hear nothing from beyond the door.

[ Mayari notices that slight frown, so she asks Oliver about it as her hair and eyes dimmed back to brown. ]

"Thank you, Oliver. I will. One question, though......you were frowning about my hand just now, weren't you?"

To Mayari,

You can just tell when he's starting to think it's you by his speech pattern

He might even shed a tear after he points you out

He would've tried to just wait for you to confess but it's going to end up that way if you don't

Like think about it, he didn't get along with anyone due to his own ego (whether or not the prologue statement was true), he lost the one person he was starting to somewhat consider as a friend, and now he loses his partner?

It would take everything within him to stop himself from asking "why would you do this?" while completing the timeline of the case

He really just doesn't want to believe that he lost someone again

He wonders if you did it because he wasn't a good partner but he's too stunned to ask and he'll probably never know

He wouldn't be able to watch the rest of your execution once he actually sees you start to get seriously injured. He'll genuinely have to look away

He would be so hurt. Every time something good or bad happens, he would ask himself what you would think about it as if you just went on a trip and aren't actually dead

He went back to 0 in terms of him being closed off. All that development left with you

As much as he hates what you did, he loved you, and that would leave him conflicted until the end of the game
