Christianity is actually really cool

I just got done binging Wendigoon's old series on Dante's Divine Comedy, and I have to say, it really gave me an appreciation for just how awesome Christian writings, and by extent the bible really are. It's so hard to appreciate the cool aspects of Christianity these days because so many people in Gen Z associate it with right-wing politics and annoying preachers. It's much easier when you are allowed to take in these ideas without people pressuring you to believe a certain thing about it.

And sure, there are still many ideas I disagree with, but the ideals of virtue in helping others and the way it's explained in the Christian cannon are really inspiring to me. The reputation of Christianity would be so much better with secular people if there were more Christians willing to explain Christianity in a manner that wasn't so pushy and judgmental.

Anyways, I just felt inspired to write this post and put my thoughts out there. Check out Wendigoons videos on Dante's Divine Comedy if you ever get the chance.

Ya know, before I had tumblr I had so many tumblr-worthy thoughts. Now, all I do is read shitty fandom themed headcanons and complain.

Hating someone who’s part of a minority (LGBT+, religion, race) is fine, hating someone because they’re a part of a minority is not. Important distinction.

Memilih Hidup

Begitu banyak manusia yang ingin menyerah dan mengakhiri hidup. Terkadang, nggak jarang mereka punya apa yang kita nggak miliki. Uang, usia muda, badan yang masih sehat, masih banyak lagi.

Keinginan untuk nyerah pasti ada dan terus berulang datang. Tapi aku punya alasan untuk memilih hidup. Bukan karena orang tua, keluarga, saudara, bukan juga sahabat.

Aku dilahirkan dalam keadaan baik dan aku cuma ingin pulang dengan keadaan yang baik juga.

Menjaga amanah tubuh yang sudah dikasih sebaik mungkin sama Tuhan sampai nanti. Sampai, insya Allah, ketemu lagi sama Tuhan. Kamu juga harus mencari alasanmu sendiri untuk bisa bertahan hidup.

Kalau rasa negatifnya datang, bawa di dalam doa malam. Ingat, Tuhan (dan aku) nggak ingin kamu sedih. La tahzan innallaha ma'ana.

Kalau belum hilang juga, bawa dalam doa pagimu. Ada satu surat yang khusus diturunkan untuk ngingetin, kalau kita nggak pernah ditinggalin sama Tuhan. Ad Dhuha yang cuma 11 ayat aja.

Ada begitu banyak rahmat Tuhan yang dikasih untuk manusia, lebih dari yang mereka tau. Makanya Tuhan nggak pengin kita menyia-nyiakannya.

Orang tua, keluarga, saudara, sahabat, ga akan selalu ada, tapi Tuhan nggak akan pergi ninggalin. Dia akan terus kasih rahmat, petunjuk, dan kecukupan sampai batas waktu yang ditentukan.
