Synopsis: You are invited to a ball but there is one tiny problem: you can’t dance. Your butler, Jade, is here to help.

As your butler, Jade tends to be a very busy man. His plate is always filled with an abundance of responsibilities that he must fulfill for his dear lady. There is never a day when he is just idling by.
Jade wakes up everyday with the thought of doing his best for you. He believes that the quality of life you are living depends entirely on his efficiency as your servant. He must never slack off. Jade sees to it that you always have your needs and wants. He can perform anything, from the most mundane to the most outrageous of errands.
Putting your shoes on, giving you shoulder massages on a particularly draining day, carrying your things and escorting you outside, disposing of anyone who threatens to harm you and your reputation, running all the way to the next town at the last minute because the missing key ingredient of your favorite soup cannot be harvested from anywhere but there.
If you just ask of it, he is willing to do anything for you no matter how humanly impossible the task may sound. As such, Jade prides himself to be a very patient and uncomplaining gentleman.
On the other hand, his lady is the complete opposite of him. There are several things you hate doing, much less have the patience to learn them. You do not like complications after all, not being one to force things that would never work out. You are quick to accept how you were simply not built for certain skills and situations and you would let go without making any fuss, never to deal with doing it ever again.
Jade wished you’d try harder, but isn’t that why he’s here as your butler? He deals with things in your stead.
However, there were certain things you couldn’t just leave to him alone. In cases like that, Jade supports you in any way he can.
When you find out you’ve been invited to a ball, Jade makes no haste in preparing dance lessons for you. He knows that dancing is one of your least favorite things to do just because you aren’t very good at it.
Jade will enjoy helping you pick and wear your clothes. He likes seeing you in different styles and will compliment you no matter what you wear. He might also use this moment to find excuses to touch you, like fixing stray hairs out of your face, tying the ribbons behind your back and smoothing the non-existent wrinkles on your gown.
If you complain that your clothes and shoes are very hard to move in, and how they’re impossible to wear while dancing, Jade will let you hold on to him until you can balance yourself without falling face first to the ground. He will help you practice walking in them before teaching you how to dance.
Jade typically spoils you, but he is a stern lecturer when it is appropriate to be one. He teaches you patiently no matter how many times you trip or step on his foot. However, he will be slightly annoyed if you’re not paying attention on purpose.
“My lady, please look at me. I am your partner, not the ground,” he says while grabbing your chin with his hand so that you’re forced to look into his eyes.
Deep inside, Jade is deeply honored that he gets to dance with his lady and hold her close, even though you two are just doing it for practice.
If you have zero improvements by the day of the ball, Jade will ensure that you are never embarrassed. His lady will not be the night’s laughingstock. Not on his watch.
It’s good if no one asks you to a dance but if there ever is one, Jade has no qualms with taking drastic measures to get you off of the dance floor.
An entire champagne tower crashes to the floor just before the music begins? Oh, what an unfortunate accident. Whatever could the cause be?
Jade will take the opportunity to sneak you out of the venue as the chaos ensues.
He will take you home if you want to, but since it’s such a beautiful evening, he will ‘suggest’ that you take your time on a stroll and watch the stars to unwind.
Maybe he’s just being sneaky and figured he’d use this as a way to have his own romantic little date with you, whether or not you’re aware of it.
Jade may have ruined everyone else’s night, but at least he knew it wasn’t yours.
