Heaven On Earth

“So… you decided that reserving the entire restaurant and arcade was a good idea?”

You slowly nod your head, “Why not? You won’t need to wear a disguise then, yes?”, you replied. Xiao shook his head at your answer, bewildered at how oblivious you are to what he was implying. His golden eyes sweep across the lobby, taking in the view of the arcade and restaurant.

The cook, Smiley Yanxiao, seemed to be chatting along with Verr, a relieved expression on his face. It seemed that reserving the entire place for Xiao had granted him a much-needed break. Considering this… he couldn’t bring himself to be truly angry at the current situation.

From where he stood, he had a clear view of the restaurant. Right on top of it was the arcade, with stairs encircling the inn and converging at the top where a door was located. He got a peek at the arcade when the door of the arcade was opened by a staff member, the only people he could find in this whole inn. It felt odd that the once crowded place was this still and silent. It felt wrong.

Reserving a whole restaurant along with an arcade for a solid 3 hours would’ve cost someone a fortune, plus this place was the Wangshu Inn. Even if you wanted him to enjoy himself without worrying about his career, there were other alternatives. Despite knowing that something was up when you mentioned to him that he didn’t need to wear a disguise, this was beyond his imagination. He should’ve figured it out the moment he stepped foot into this widely known restaurant and there was nobody in sight.

“How much was this?” Xiao asked, still in shock as his eyes darted to every corner, not used to how quiet the once bustling place was. “A few zeros here and there and a swipe of my card.” He internally facepalmed at your answer, rich people things.

Wait. The realization that he had never asked about the reasoning behind your massive amount of money had just dawned on him. Then that familiar voice of yours reached his ears and he decided that he’d leave the questioning for later. “Where do you wanna go first? Arcade or lunch. Hungry?”

It was a rare occurrence that he’d like both options when being given choices. However, he found it hard to decide between the options you’ve given him. With a bit more pondering on the best possible outcome, he uttered, “Arcade, then lunch.”

An approving nod from you solidified his plan. Together, you made your way towards the stairs, leading up to the arcade.

Heaven On Earth

It was a comical sight, something his co-workers would laugh at him for if they saw the scene. The notoriously reserved idol who only ever utters as few words as he can, trying so hard to win at arcade basketball. With his height, sure he had to put in more work but he’d like to think it was worth it when he saw the delighted look on your face with the number of tickets he got from his hard work. The noise of the tickets coming out of the machine and the music from other games filled the empty arcade.

The basket a staff member had offered was brimming with stacks and stacks of tickets in it. Teamwork makes the dream work, yes? No, you just found a game that was so rigged you got at least 60 tickets each time you played it. The tickets were farmed there by you, thus the filled basket.

He was grateful that you spent this much money just for his sake, he was having fun being able to openly enjoy the arcade without the nuisance of others, but he wouldn’t admit it, of course.

Meanwhile, you were having a blast. The arcade was filled with trendy machines to pretty outdated machines that you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere - but it gave a sense of nostalgia if you were old that is. There were games that you hadn’t even heard of, adding an extra layer of excitement. Even the lighting was perfect, it was more on the dark side with occasional neon lights arranged neatly, it really added to the whole aesthetic of an arcade.

Glancing around the arcade for more games to play with, your eyes landed on the photo booth. Oh! This is a must! Carrying the overflowing basket of tickets, you headed to the photo booth with Xiao following behind. The confined space inside the booth was just enough for your shoulders and Xiao’s to touch, but neither of you paid any mind to it.

The machine made a little beep! after you had slipped the required amount of coins. “Pose Xiao, Pose!” You nudged the dark-haired male beside you, your elbows digging into his side. A mini countdown could be heard from the machine, giving you guys the time to strike a pose. Silly faces, hand signs, bunny ears, beaming smiles - four photos taken. A faint whirring sound from the photo booth could be heard before the 2 identical pictures were printed out, each with 4 grids.

As soon as Xiao’s eyes landed on the picture, he blinked. The picture turned out well, anyone could tell that the two of you were having fun. Golden irises lingered on the picture, call him cheesy (actually don’t) but a smile really looked good on you. Though the thought made him cringe at himself.

“Come back, you look ridiculous. We’re taking another one.”

The sound of laughter followed Xiao’s words, pink creeping up his ears as he tried to grab the picture in your hand that the two of you received. “Nuh-uh! This is perfect!” Huffing, he accepted his defeat when he saw the look of determination on your face. He looked back at the picture in his hand, and yea, maybe this is perfect.

Your voice rang in his ear once again, “Xiao, look! A dancing game! Let’s compete?”

Oh, he doesn’t mind a challenge, “You’re on.”

Xiao jogged over to where you were standing. You were inserting the coins - the never-ending amount making him gulp whenever he glanced at it. The game consisted of two stages, each having four arrow panels on the floor: up, down, left, and right, simple enough. The machine lit up with a welcoming dialogue inviting the players to select a song and difficulty level, which you allowed Xiao to choose because he apparently was an expert — Matsuri by Fuji Kaze - with difficulty set to normal.

Hitting combo after combo, both of you synchronized your steps on the panels that appeared on the huge screen before you. Xiao was competitive, but so were you. The sound of sneakers squeaking could hardly be heard over the music and the other games nearby.

Curses slipped out of your mouth as you caught a glimpse of Xiao’s score, winning by a small margin. You groaned, “It’s rigged.”

The man standing next to you let out a huff, “Accept defeat.” You perked up when the game displayed the final scores, an A+ for Xiao and an A for you. You dramatically let your head droop into your hand as you made fake sobbing noises. Xiao could only stare at you as you perform your “the world is so cruel” act. “It’s just because I took dance lessons a few times, stop sulking.” he voiced out, immediately feeling embarrassed the moment the words left his mouth. Though, he couldn’t find it in himself to regret it when muffled laughter followed his words.

"Next! Race cars!" He grunted at your words, clearly not a fan of driving. Yet, he still followed your footsteps and settled on sitting on the seat beside your game. Just as you were handing him some coins, he waved you off. “I’ll watch ya.”

You blinked at his words, then shrugged. “Suit yourself.”

Gripping the steering wheel, the machine allowed you to select a map along with some instructions. As you focused on the screen in front of your steering wheel, Xiao stared at you. “Hey, been meaning to ask. How’re you this rich?”

Blame his curiosity but he couldn’t exactly stop himself from letting the question that was lingering in his mind be voiced out. You stared ahead, the screen showing a countdown as you conversed with him, “My family’s rich, that’s practically it.” He hummed at your answer, that did make sense because he assumed you were yet to graduate from whatever university you attend.

Stepping on the pedal, you twisted and turned the wheel in an attempt to remain the first in the race as you conversed with the man beside you.

“Who paid for your apartment?”

“Agency bought it for me. It’s near our studio.”

“How did you guys deal with PAIMON’s tweet?”

“Oh, we had them take it down or we’d sue.”

“Damn.”

The screen showed a “#1” text in bold big letters, showing that you’ve won the race. You took your phone out to snap a photo before shoving it back into your pocket and heading for the one thing that you’ve been meaning to try - the claw machines.

“You know it’s pretty much rigged, right?” Xiao sighed as he stood beside you, watching at your 4th attempt at getting the My Melody plushie, and failing.

“It doesn’t matter! You get it if you’re lucky!” You whined, another failed attempt at going home with the toy.

“Whatever, I’ll buy one myself later.”

Walking away from the machine, you fail to notice how Xiao inserts another few coins into the machine as he tells you to go ahead to the restaurant.

When he caught up with you and ordered almond tofu - apparently he knew the cook - his favorite dish, you watched as he pulled something out of his shirt and stuffed it into his tote bag. The table restricted your view but you figured it was nothing and moved on to make conversations with him.

This felt strangely normal, like it was meant to be, just you and Xiao, sitting and talking. At the same time, you felt nervous talking to the almond tofu living guy. Second guessing your words, worrying how he might misunderstand what you say, strange. Knowing that you would've missed all of this if you hadn't heard him out made you happy with your decision. At the end of the day, fun was the one word you could use to describe this eventful simple.

Heaven On Earth

"Why!? I could pay for it y'kno-" Your words were cut off by his tugging. Xiao had insisted that the both of you should take the subway instead of ordering a cab. He had tugged you along by the arm as he walked towards the nearest station, "Use money wisely. Plus you should use the subway once in a while."

Laughing at his scolding, you teased him. "You sure you just don't wanna spend more time with me by walking there, hmm?"

Xiao averted his gaze, red crawling up his neck and ears as he willed himself to get used to your teasing.

He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard you say “Oh, that’s the station.” He looked up ahead and sure enough, it was the subway station. He released his grip on your arm when you started to speed up, muttering something about “let’s get this over with.”

The two of you were lucky enough to get to the train just right on time as the doors closed after you had run in. It was pretty empty, a few people here and there but there were vacant seats. You sat down on an empty seat and Xiao settled down beside you.

There was a comfortable silence accompanied by the train noises every once in a while.

Oh right, the plushie!

Xiao rummaged through his tote bag to look for the plushies he got after you left the arcade. He heard Heizou saying something about these types of plushies - Sanrio, was it? He got the one you wanted earlier and then another. Mainly because they were in the same machine.

You peeked over his broad shoulders in an attempt to find out what he was looking for. Xiao took both of the plushies out of his bag and turned to you, accidentally hitting your face with his shoulders.

You heard an oh. before he held your face with a hand, plushies on his lap as he scanned your features. You laughed endearingly at his concerned behavior,

“I’m fine.” He nodded at your words, removed his hands from your face, and went to grab the plushies from his lap, showing them off to you like a kid showing their drawings to a parent. You blinked once, then twice, subconsciously missing the feeling of his hand on your face. You pushed away the thought to focus on the plushies he had gotten.

“For me?” You tilted your head, hands reaching out to grab the plushie and in the process, brushing your hands against his. He nodded at your answer, “The other was in the same machine.”

His answer made you laugh, god, Xiao could be so cute. “They’re matching. Kuromi and My Melody.”

Golden eyes stared blankly at your words, before muttering a quiet “makes sense.” along with a shrug. You glanced at the plushie on your lap, there’s a warmth that slowly filled your heart at the realization that he got it for you settled in.

The announcement from the speakers interrupted your thoughts. Signaling at Xiao, the two of you got off the subway and he led the way to your apartments. The silence was filled with the whooshing of the winds or the small talk here and there. It felt too soon to end the day.

The two of you reached the floor of your apartment. The elevator doors opened and the two of you stood in front of your respective apartments. Xiao was the first and last to speak.

“Thanks for today, [name].”

Maybe it was your imagination, but you swear you saw the ghost of a smile on his face before he turned around and headed into his apartment, giving you no room to reply.

For the headcannons, I'd love Xiao, Gorou and Albedo reacting to the reader being sleepy and falling asleep on their shoulders

Keep up the good work!! Take the time you need with this request, I saw you had internet problems and that can really fuck up one's workflow

Heya! Thank you for your request, it's a really cute idea and I had a lot of fun working on this one. This is the first time I've written for Gorou though, so I hope I did him justice. Anyway, have fun reading! <3

Characters: XIao, Gorou, Albedo

Reacting to a gn!reader falling asleep on their shoulders (HCs)

Xiao

Xiao isn’t really used to someone showing him affection the way you always do, so he’s always a bit taken aback when you’re close to him. However, he can’t help but smile when you rest your head on his shoulder while you’re watching the sunset from Wangshu Inn’s balcony.

He didn’t really expect you to fall asleep but as soon as he realizes it, he doesn’t dare to move even the slightest bit because he doesn’t want to wake you up. Although Xiao would never admit it, he’s incredibly happy about the fact that you fell asleep on his shoulder because to him, it’s a sign that you trust him completely, no matter what. He’s not entirely sure if he really deserves your trust, though.

On the one hand, he knows that he should probably wake you up and send you to bed but on the other hand, he really doesn’t want this moment to end. It’s calming and peaceful, something Xiao rarely experiences, and he’s not ready to let go of that feeling so quickly. Plus, he thinks that you look kinda cute when you sleep.

At some point, he still decides to put you to bed because the two of you can’t spend the whole night sitting on the balcony, no matter how much Xiao would enjoy that. He makes sure that you’re comfy before he leaves – but if you woke up and asked him to stay with you, he probably couldn’t say No.

Gorou

Gorou knows next to nothing about romance and therefore often feels a bit insecure when he’s around you. He doesn’t want to do anything wrong or accidentally hurt your feelings, so he usually tries to keep a bit of a distance. However, he won’t refuse when you want to spend some time with him, especially since he barely has time to relax with everything that’s going on in Inazuma.

When you’re sitting around together, maybe after training or something, and you tell him that you feel a bit sleepy, Gorou immediately suggests that you should take a nap because you need some rest. However, he definitely didn’t expect you to lean in and rest your head on his shoulder before slowly drifting off to sleep. The situation is almost a bit bizarre to him because he’s just sitting there, staring at you while he tries to process what’s happening.

He can’t deny that he’s happy, though. You trust him and apparently like him enough to be comfortable with being this close to him, so he really can’t complain about the whole situation. That doesn’t change the fact that he has no idea what to do now, though. Should he put his arm around you to make it more comfortable for you? Or would it be better to sit still, just to make sure that he doesn’t wake you up?

In the end, Gorou settles on holding still to make sure that he’s not disturbing your slumber in any way. He also allows himself to indulge in the situation, although he’s still not entirely sure what to think about it but he tells himself to worry about that later. Right now, he just wants to enjoy the moment.

Albedo

Albedo might seem unapproachable and distanced sometimes but he definitely can’t reject you when you ask him if you could rest your head on his shoulder while he’s reading. Sometimes, he even encourages you to do it when he notices that you’re being sleepy. It’s also not unusual that he stays up all night to read or to complete some notes about his latest experiment, so he’s already used to you keeping him company for a while – something he really appreciates.

It’s a frequent thing that you fall asleep on his shoulder, actually. He doesn’t mind it at all; in fact, he really looks forward to it every time because he thinks that it’s just adorable how you snuggle up to him, right before you fall asleep. He doesn’t get to spend as much time with you as he’d like, so moments like this are some sort of compensation as well.

He gets a bit distracted by you, though. Every so often, he finds himself focusing at you instead of the book or his notes in front of him because he wants to make sure that you’re still comfortable. He’s not one to usually watch you when you sleep but he thinks that it’s quite interesting that you can sleep so peacefully in a seemingly uncomfortable position like this. Occasionally, he also brushes a strand of hair from your forehead or caresses your cheek, careful not to wake you up.

However, Albedo knows that he has to wake you when he’s done with his work because you can’t spend the entire night in that position. He’s a bit hesitant about it though and usually apologizes with a kiss or two because he had to disturb your sleep to send you to bed.

Thank you for reading! If you enjoyed it please consider reblogging. I'd appreciate the support. <3

Oh, It's Over.

Albedo-

Although I think he'd be the one to take it most rationally, he'd still be over the edge because of your death.

So it really was coming to an end, well obviously your death was inevitable, so why, why does it still hurt knowing his morning with you is at end. This was calculated from the start he knew he was aware that you couldn't stay with him forever, then why does he want you to. A horrible outcome yet such a lovely journey. But at least it was with you, right?

It still hurts after all this time with you, his thinking was illogical, something he doesn't do unless he's with you.

He tries his best to put the pieces back together, bring you back to him but no nothing works. His hard work went to shit, if he couldn't do the simple task of feeling your comforting embrace then how was he supposed to do anything? Everything hurts alchemy hurts, talking hurts, eating hurts, existing hurts it all hurts so much, but he still moves on at least kind of right? He brushes off his feelings and tries to get over your pacing but the more he pushes it out the harder it comes back, why can't you just leave him alone?

Oh, It's Over.
Oh, It's Over.

Xiao-

One of the least rational goes back to how he was before he met you. If not worse, way worse.

How could you leave him like this after all you've done with him, you leave? It doesn't matter if it wasn't your choice he still wanted you there. You were the only thing that kept him at bay, but I guess the reason his karmic debt didn't affect you was because it would strike only once but harder than ever. But this was his fault.

How could he even think straight, you were all that was on his mind, pushing to overwork himself sleepless nights, weeks, years but xiao was used to this nothing really changed, did it? Except for figures that appeared randomly throughout his room, it wouldn't be a bother he's seen worse, just if they didn't remind him of you. If they didn't speak like you did to him, if they didn't look at him with the same look you had towards him.

Maybe if he just didn't talk to you that day, maybe if you weren't in lieyu maybe, just maybe it would hurt this much.

Oh, It's Over.
Oh, It's Over.

Kazuha-

Again, really again? How long was this going to go on for, because he can’t take this anymore? Was it him, he was the problem right, he had to be. Nothing else was wrong; it was him, his fault, all his fault, and his fault alone.

Changing nearly everything about him, down to the way he speaks, the way he dresses, even the way he sees himself. But nothing was working, no one would love him the way you did. Was it his fault? Was he not worthy enough to be around you forever? That's right, that's the only reason he wasn't with you right now, he knows he's not deserving of your praise, your love, or even your mere presence but he still vied for you. But like the wind, everything must fly away and leave rather whether you desire that outcome or not.

Oh, It's Over.
Oh, It's Over.

A.n -  I had this in my drafts for the longest while and as you can see its quite rushed😞

Tranquil Place. . .

Tranquil Place. . .

Xiao x implied fem!reader

[Hu tao mentioned]

Word count - 514

Cw - jealousy if you squint, cursing

Genre - fluff with the tiniest bit of angst and slightly suggestive

Summary - reader & Xiao go out to a lake hu tao mentioned!

────────────────── 〔✿〕────────────────────

Tranquil Place. . .

Deciding to go to a nearby lake at the last minute was not your best idea, but you weren't one to go back on your word, now were you? heading up the stairs to your bedroom, rushing to get dressed

"mascara, check; bath suit, check. God, I know I'm fucking missing something, but what? Oh shit... My hair, well, I don't have time to straighten it, and nor do I have any skills to do anything fancy... or at all, so I guess I'll just make do with this.

You grabbed your brush (or whatever you use, I know some of you use different stuff) and put it in a [insert hairstyle], walking down the stairs as you did before.

"YOU KNOW YOU CAN TURN DOWN YOUR HEADLIGHTS RIGHT XIAO?" a sudden light flashed out of you, almost blinding. The car's lights dimmed.

"Sorry about that," mumbles a soft voice from the car you're about to enter.the door slams as you enter the car, you notice the lights are turned off.

"Where is this spoused lake?" "Hutao told me it's not too far from her, just 3 lefts, 1 right, and you're there! You said, looking at the directions that Hutao had given you."

"You know, I don't like you hanging out with that girl," Xiao said with genuine concern, but there was a hint of jealousy in his words,

"You know, she gives me like a 50% discount, right?"

"Yes, but being reminded that your death is inevitable isn't the best thing to hear."

"Xiao, you do understand sarcasm, right?"

"sarc-what?" You let out a muffled chuckle, not wanting to perplex the man anymore,

"never mind,"

"oh, ok, well good timing because we're actually here." Wandering out of the car, you don't know what happens, but as you step closer and closer to the glistening water, your soul feels at peace, almost like this seemingly divine place was meant for tranquility. Xiao's voice suddenly floods your sense of hearing

"hey y/n, are you ok? We can go to the clinic if y-" "Oh, I'm fine, it's just that this place is wonderful."

"I think so too. This seems to be one of Hu Tao's rare but good pieces of advice."

"Heyy, don't be like that. Hu Tao has loads of great advice"

"to you y/n, but aside from that, we came here to see this lake, right?"

"Oh yea, the lake!"

You swiftly take off the articles of clothing, revealing your bathing suit.

"Wh-what are you doing...?"

"Going to swim, duh!" "What, it's at least 6 degrees out here?"

Remember what I said about you not breaking your word? This is one of those days. Ignoring Xiao's comment, you jump into the water. The look on his face is the funniest shit you've ever seen. A mix of concern and annoyance, you feel he needs a present. "Xiao," your tone of voice intrigues him, "yes? Is there something you need? " coddling his face, followed by a light kiss on his lips. "I think that's enough for today, right?"

A.N - hope you enjoyed this was quite short but still! I'm very open to criticism, not like I would get any🥱😒/sarc

Hi, Raze! How Are You? Are You Doing Well And Taking Care Of Yourself? 🥺

Genre: angst, comfort┆pairing: Xiao x reader┆warnings: reader degrading herself, readers mother keeps degrading reader towards everything they do. Crying (if there's more please let me know🙏💕)┆

notes: I had an idea for this a long time ago but I didn't know how to do it properly😭 so here I am, a few months late doing this😖😖. I got carried away and I didn't read your ask properly😭😭 it's supposed to be readers own thought not someone else making reader insecure, so sorry lost I got your request wrong, just ask me again if you want me to redo it, did the first part at like midnight and I was already halfway when I looked back on it 💔💔

Summary:being at one of your family gatherings alone was always sormthing you never looked forward to, even if you did miss your siblings, being the center of attention at the dinning table once all of your relatives took their seat, had tears in your eyes, always saying something about your body, how no man wanted you, how you would never satisfy your boyfriend with how ugly your body looked.

'You look horrendous in those types of clothes ___, did you really think your 'boyfriend' would feel satisfied by your body, I mean you can't even dress properly and act submissive now and you expect him to love you?'.

Those words said by your own mother ringing in your ears on your way home, had tears brimming in your eyes.

They had asked you if you had a boyfriend, you nodded slowly expecting them to berate you, surprisingly they had bakced off and wished you well with xiao. Sitting at the dinner table had more tension then ever before,

"well.. ____, since you have a boyfriend now, when will you introduce him to us" your grandmother started the conversation,

"um, well, maybe in the near future but not now, since hes very busy and his work is very demanding.. " you had kept your gaze on your plate before hearing a bang on the table and the food om your plate lightly lifting off the table

"____! Where are your manners?! Your grandmother is talking to you! Can't you look her in the eyes and show some respect! " your mother screamed at you as your other relatives just kept quiet or looked at you with concern since this was the first time they saw your mother act this way towards you.

Seing that you were visibly shaken, your grandmother interrupts your mother from speaking any further and put her hand over yours.

"____ dear, I think it's time for you to go home and rest, you look like you have been tired, if you want you can call your boyfriend and pick you up? " your grandmother had spoken to you with her gentle voice that comforted you everytime your mother had .

You nodded to your grandmother, before your mother had uttured out a single word, you grabbed your bag and walked out of the house.

Before you went out the door, you heard muffled shouts in the dinner room, you had made out what they were talking about.

"Why did you say that to your child!? Are you out of your mind!" That was the last thing you heard before you walked away from the house you called home.

.

.

Now you're back in your shared home, laying on your bed trying to hold back your tears. You spot your mirror in the corner of your room, walking towards the reflective surface with you in the middle of it. Lifting up your shirt, you look at your stomach, you hated the way it made you look bloated in tight shirts.

You stare at yourself with disgust and frustration, coming closer to the mirror, inspecting every inch of your face seeing the flaws your mother pointed out throughout your entire life.

Your vision becomes blurry from the tears pooling your eyes, wiping your tears away but they kept coming back. You lost your balance and fell down on the floor, sitting on the floor for a few minutes trying to calm your self down. You took deep breaths as you fiddled with your fingers, you looked around the room spotting the clock, the time almost midnight so you wiped your tears for the last time and stood up with shaky breathing and walked to your bedside table, picking up the glass of water and drinking it before you layed down ok your bed, covering your self with the blanket.

You closed your eyes trying to fall asleep yet failing, your mind wanders back to the reunion, thinking about what your mother said and how none of your other relatives defended you from her, only your grandmother had defended you from the person who swore to love you until the end of her life when she gave birth to you.

Hiccups and sobs could be heared throughout your shared bedroom as xiao opened your front door, he was expecting you to come up to him and greet him like always. Xiao walked further into the living to see if you had fallen asleep, seeing as you weren't in the living room, he walked towards your bedroom to hear mumbled sobs.

Xiao had gently opened the door to avoid waking you up if you had fallen asleep, instead he was greeted with the sight of you hugging a pillow while shaking, he had froze in front of the door, not knowing what to do, he walked towards you and sat down by the edge of the bed.

Feeling the bed sink by your feet, you looked towards the edge of the bed to see Xiao sitting down not facing you and looking at the floor.

"Oh.. Xiao your back, how are you? And why are you sitting at the edge of the bed?" You had reached out for him, grabbing his forearm and pulling it towards you softly, making Xiao lean towards you, flinching at his hand reaching to your face, specifically your eyes, had xiao becoming concerned, as they were surrounded by a red hue looking as if you had finished crying.

"____, did...Something happen at your family reunion? " Xiao held your hand, his gaze towards you had soften and trying to tone down his voice..

" no, nothing went –*hic* went wrong at the reunion" you towards your bedside table with a red and puffy eyes. '' you're lying because your eyes say a different story....if you don't mind, do you want to talk about it with me? I know I might not know what to do, but maybe...you'll feel better if you talk about it to me?" Xiao placed his hand on top of yours, trying to comfort you the best he can.

You didn't respond for a good few seconds, contemplating if you should or shouldn't say to him what your mother had said to you at the reunion, eventually, you agreed to talk to xiao about what happened at the reunion.

A few tears were shed by you as you recalled what had happened at the reunion, as much as xiao wasn't much on the comforting side, he was great at the listening side even if he couldn't comfort the best way, but his way of comforting was your best way of comforting and you wouldn't want to replace it with others.

Towards the end of your story, xiao looked a little angry or frustrated, maybe both. "What's wrong Xiao? " your voice was above a whisper, an eerie silence filled the room as Xiao still haven't replied to you, instead he held your hand and rubbed the back of your palm.

"... If you have anymore of those events you call 'family reunion', make sure to call me. I will accompany you so your mother won't be able to say such words to you. " Xiao raised your hand close to his lips, kissing the Beck of your palm, you just stared at him while your mind was formulating a response to his words he directed towards you.

Sobs left your lips as you hung your head low, your tears falling onto the blanket covering your lap. You didn't know what to say, so you nodded your head signaling that you agreed to let him come with you to any family related events.

After you calmed down, you though about what Xiao said earlier when you were crying, specifically the last part. 'I will accompany you so your mother won't be able to say such words to you' you know that Xiao dislikes crowds and events with lots of people he doesn't quite know. "... Are you sure you want to come to every family event? I know how much you hate crowds and such, I don't want you to come and feel uncomfortable" you close your eyes for a few seconds, feeling them become sore because of your tears.

"I do not mind being uncomfortable but I also don't want you to hear words that make you think thoughts that make you dislike parts of your body" Xiao placed his hand on your cheek—showing the side that only you can see once in a while—he gently caresses your eye, wiping the tears left over from you crying.

He gently pulls you closer, patting your hair as if he was lulling you to sleep and since you just finished crying and all the events that happened, you fell asleep almost immediately.

Once xiao felt that you were asleep, he layed you down on the bed and covered you with the blanket. Xiao just sat next to you, looking at you while you sleep, he abruptly stood up thinking that he was creepy for staring at you when you were sleeping, he walked inside the bathroom and washed up since his body was splattered with dry blood.

After he washed up, he sat on the opposite side of you on the bed. Xiao layed down next to you and admired you when you suddenly opened your eyes to look at Xiao in front of you. "I thought you had fallen asleep?" Xiao was taken aback and giggles left your lips when you saw xiao's reaction. "How should I fall asleep when someone so handsome keeps looking at me while I sleep? " you tease Xiao while you come closer, putting your hand on his red hued cheeks, meanwhile, xiao just closes his eyes tightly and grumbles that you should just fall asleep. "Alright, alright. I'll sleep now, just promise me, when I'll wake up you'll be next to me. " you take your hand away from his cheeks and lay on your back, facing that ceiling closing your eyes, trying to fall asleep. "I promise, even when you're awake, I'll be here next to you" xiao takes your hand in his and places a tender kiss.

@thelost-in-time orders: Can I get a fluffy Xiao with a s/o reader who gets anxious easily and talks super quickly when they're nervous?

And they're only more comfortable around him compared to strangers?

summary of the order: Donut(fluff) water(gn reader) honey(oneshot)

[note]: none

@thelost-in-time Orders: Can I Get A Fluffy Xiao With A S/o Reader Who Gets Anxious Easily And Talks

3rd person POV

as you were walking up the stairs towards katheryn to accept more commissions ''Ad Astra Abyssosque, welcome to the adventurers guild [name], here to accept more commission i assume?'' katheryn asked. you nodded quite excitedly, before katheryn turned around to get the list of commission you asked a question ''h-hey katheryn w-would you m-mind giving m-me more co-commission with int-interacting with more pe-people?'' you stuttered out, katheryn nodded and handed you your commission for the day ''well, here they are [name] goodluck and Ad Astra  Abyssosque'' she said before waving goodbye

[name] POV

as i looked at the first commissions in the list, it said 'help organize the wine at dawn winery' i suddenly regretted what i said to katheryn, master diluc was scary, everytime you helped employee's organize the barrel's he looked at you with a face that looked like he hated your whole existence so it's always scary when i go to dawn winery unless i go with someone im comfortable with like xiao and the traveller but since xiao was busy killing demons and lumine(imma make the traveller lumine cause #girlboss) being in inazuma i had to go to the winery alone...what am i going to do, i guess i can do it alone

~when you arrive at dawn winery~

3rd POV

welp here you are standing in front of the mansion, as you were walking to the front door, when suddenly someone touched my shoulder so you quickly turned around and you felt your soul leave your body, it was master diluc looking at you like a parasite ''well what are you doing here?'' diluc asked you while you were having a small panic attack on what to do when you suddenly blurted out

''i-im h-here to help y-you organize t-the wine''

diluc POV

hmm these grapes aren't ripe enough yet to be made into juice , why are these taking more longer then the other ones, huh it's that girl from liyue again what's she doing here again? ''well what are you doing here?" as they panicked to say an answer, ''i-im h-here to help y-you organize t-the wine''they stuttered out an answer ''oh well i'll lead you to the wine cellar'' i said beckoning for them to follow.

~after you finish organizing the wine cellar~

no ones pov

as you walked back to wangshu inn you looked back on what the commissions were today, first was *help organize the wine cellar at dawn winery* which wasn't all that bad as you soon realized that diluc did not hate your existence but juet looked at you with curiosity since you were always trembling . The second commission was * help flora gather flowers* not to hard as you interact quite better with children, the third commission was easy as well you just had to cook mondstat food-.

Before you could finish your inner monologue someone bumped into you, you looked up and saw 3 guys looking at you "oh? And whats a cutie like you doing walking around by yourself?" The first guy said but loud enough so you could hear it "i-im g-going to wangshu inn" you responded with a whisper " well why don't we come with you" the 3 men look at each other with mischievous smirks and roughly grabbed your wrist" um n-no need my b-boyfriend will be w-with me" you whimpered as the first men held your wrist roughly, you suddenly remember what xiao said 'if death comes knocking at your door, call my name, adeptus xiao' you needed help "x-xiao" you whimpered as the men who grabbed your hand suddenly tightened it when he heard his name "huh? What did y-"

"Let go of them"

The man was frightened when he felt something sharp on his neck, you slightly opened your eyes as ypu no longer felt a grip on your wrist. "Go. Unless you want things to get ugly." Xiao ordered, The other two men ran away.

"...are you alright?" Xiao questioned as he was you lightly rubbing your wrist "i'm okay, the only grabbed my wrist, other then that i'm okay'' you answered "let's go back, it's dangerous out here at night" he proposed "but.. my commis-" you were cut off when you both teleported back to your room at wangshu inn "just finish your commission tomorrow....I'll help you with it" xiao insisted, he had his back turned to you but you could slightly see a faint hue of red on his cheeks "really? I'm glad your coming with me xiao" you agreed on his idea "...you should rest now, it's almost midnight, mortals should sleep by now" xiao turned to you but had his head slightly turned

You slowly laid down on your mattress. You feel as your as getting more and more heavy. "Xiao, will you stay here for a beit longer?" You whispered, you didn't hear his response as you fell asleep.

"You don't have to ask me to stay with you, ill stay and protect you as long as you live." He held your hand to his cheek as he stays with you until you wake up.

friends order: a xiao x reader of when he finds you hurt

summary of the order: a honey(oneshot) donut(fluff), chocolate(headcannon) pudding(comfort) and water

warning(s):ooc xiao, wounds, mentions of blood(only once tho) arguments(?), not proofread

______________Xiao______________

Xiao was just walking up the stairs to your room as he was finished slaying demons, when he saw you were not in the room as he expected as you were always early even if it was a busy day, now when he saw you weren't in the room he was quietly panicking that something happened to you or someone kidnapped you 'cause you weren't in the room so he went search for you, and if you were kidnapped why didn't you call his name.

As for you, you were in the other room trying to patch yourself up without trying to make too much noise because if you did that would cause xiao's attention and you didn't want to worry him to much as your wound was large, excess bandages were scattered and small pools of blood splattered on the floor, and alcohol was on the table and other stuff like your [weapon of choice].

You didn't expect xiao to be home so early after slaying monsters so of course you were shocked when xiao burst into the room you were in while you were half done patching yourself, both you and xiao were too shocked to move so both of you didn't move, so you were just looking at xiao with shocked eyes while you were biting the bandage to help it wrap around you more securely, while xiao was still holding the door like he was bursting in but frozen.

so now you were being bandaged properly by xiao "ughh c'mon xiao it's not a big de-" you grumbled while your back was facing xiao, before you could say anything else you were cut off by xiao,

"you're saying it's not a big deal but you have a gash on your cheek and a large wound on your back." he protested worriedly but a hint of anger in his voice as he said that to you still patching you up

''just how did you get this large of a wound on you?'' xiao said while he was almost done bandaging your wound

"I was just doing my commissions when a mitachurl with the large ax came out of nowhere and hit me on my back" you replied to xiao,

"gosh didn't i say to call my name when you're in danger'' xiao scolded, you were pouting, when xiao saw did he thought about how cute you looked right now.

his train of thought was cut off when you mumbled something so quiet that it was like a whisper luckily xiao caught on what you mumbled '' i just wished i didn't burden you''

xiao sighed before answering you '' gosh you mortals are unusual, theirs a reason why i said to call my name '' xiao scolded

''if you're so scared of me being too weak and being injured why don't you train me to become stronger then" you scoffed

''i didn't say you were weak i just- i'm just worried about you'' xiao uttered, you were slightly shocked.

__________END__________

baker's extra note: i literally don't know what to do with this anymore, this has been in my drafts since apr 7 so ill post this because my friends are requesting so much i don't know if i'm able to finish them that why i'm posting this to remove some of my drafts since there's too much.

Cooking with Genshin boys

Characters : Kaeya, Albedo, Thoma, Razor, Xiao, Chongyun, Childe, Diluc

Genres/warnings : Headcanons, fluff, sfw, comedy, crack

Cw: none

A/n : Turned to be pretty long because I added a lot of characters but i had fun writing this! ^w^

Kaeya :

• As I will repeat in each headcanons including Kaeya, C H A O S.

• I think that before your relationship, he was always buying pre prepared meals, because he didn’t have the time to cook due to his work which lets him go pretty late

• So now that he has you to take good care of him and his health, he wants to help you out preparing good dishes, even if you tell him it’s fine and that you can do it on your own.

• But he really insits, and so you let him

•But maybe you shouldn't have...

• He wants you to teach him how to prepare things, so he can do it even when you aren’t here (ngl he just wants to bake you sweets to surprise you (っ▪︎3▪︎)っ

• So you start with something easy... something very easy... something that literally anyone can do... something as easy as... CRÊPES.

• You know how bad is Kaeya at cooking. So you thought to yourself : "We’ll make something super duper easy, we’ll easily succeed, I’ll praise him, he’ll be happy. Yea, that seems like a good plan!

• But things don't work out as you wished they would...

• At the end of the session, you have flour on your head, eggs are spilled everywhere, and you created some ultra-sugared and burnt abomination, meanwhile Kaeya is just like : "That apron really does suit you sweetheart~"

• Definitely never doing this again

Albedo :

• Oh, that time when you were just in the kitchen cooking something nice...

•Albedo came up from nowhere just to blame you

• "Are you sure you put enough milk?" "I think this part is missed." "Ah... no, you have to do it like that, actually." "Oh, just give me the whisk, i’ll show you."

• And then he literally pushed you out and finished the dish

• It was absolutely delicious (now you want him to cook everyday)

• Albedo is a great Alchemist, so for him, everything must be measured to the nearest gram

• Of course, this also applies in cooking

• So every time you try to spend good time with him cooking or baking, he’ll be hella annoying, just wanting the thing to be perfect, not even paying attention to you.

• Of course, you pout.

• Of course, he notices.

• Of course, he doesn't understand

• In the end you’re just tired of this so you stop and just carry on

Thoma :

• THE HOUSEHUSBAND

• Not only is he good at cooking, he also is in every other housework, such as cleaning or gardening-

• So when you ask him to cook together, of course he’ll be more than happy :D

• I feel like he’d prepare you Mondstadt dishes  ꈍᴥꈍʔ

• It’s so fun cooking with him omg-

• He’d place his hands over yours and show you the way you have to mix up but like in a totally innocent and gentle and kind waaaayyyyy until he notices you blushing so that makes him blush too and he’s just like uhh what did I do

• Sometimes you’ll suggest to cook so he can rest for once because he’s always the one doing all the work

• At first he’d want to decline the offer BUT PLEASE INSIST THIS MAN NEEDS SOME REST

Razor :

• Did someone say kitchen? What the hell is this???

• You’d go FIND and HUNT the ingredients with him

• And cook them in the middle of the forest

• He shows you how to light a fire, butcher a beast, which plants are edible and which ones are not,...

• (●-●)

• Who would have thought he would be the one to teach you things

• You were already imagining you teaching him how to use an oven, and the expression he makes when he’s not understanding anything

• ROLES HAVE REVERSED, Y/N

Xiao :

• Always begging you to bake almond tofu

• "Ugh, Xiao, I can’t just make almond tofu everyday..!"

• You ended up doing it together anyway ;-;

• That sure wasn't easy U-U

• Xiao used to live in the Wangshu inn, so he was probably eating there. (Do Adepties have to eat tho??)

• Therefore, he has no experience in cooking, thats why you offered him to do it together (The main reason was that you wanted to spend more time with him---)

• Once you’re (finally-) done, he just stands here, admiring his own work with wide opened eyes without a word. "C-can we eat it now?"

• You grin and pat him on the head as a reward. "Of course you can! Good job Xiao!"

• Now he’s a blushing mess.

Chongyun :

• It’s a pain cooking for him because he can’t stand hot or spicy food

• But you can’t make cold dishes or salads everyday (especially in winter-)

• He gets that you’re kinda tired of this so he offers to cook himself not to bother you

• YOU THINK IT’S SWEET OF HIM buuuut you refuse

• Instead you propose to cook together to have some fun

• And so you two end up making colorful popsicles ^○^

• (You go ask Xiangling what he’s used to eat afterwards-)

Childe :

• YOU MAKE FUN OF HIM EVERY SINGLE DAY BECAUSE HE CANNOT HOLD CHOPSTICKS AND HE’S TIRED OF IT LMAO

• I don’t know if I see him as a pretty good cook or as an even worth one than Kaeya 🤔

• Nevermind, I just remembered what Teucer said

• THE HOUSEHUSBAND #2

• But even tho he’s the one cooking for you two,

• HE STILL CAN’T HOLD CHOPSTICKS-

• C’mon dude, we don’t want your Sneznaya dishes, so you have to use  c h o p s t i c k s (i’m talking but i have never used chopsticks before lol-)

• Of courseeee you’ll teach him so you can cook together

• And in exchange he’ll teach you how to cook :D

Diluc :

• I have no idea what to write for this man

• Like, can he cook??

• All I can think about is the KFC × Genshin crossover

• But can he cook tho????

• I feel like just like Kaeya, he doesn't really have the time to cook because of work (and his batman post work-) but when he can, he’s probably able to make some pretty good things

• But ngl he prefers to eat what YOU make for him u_u

Xiao x Reader (Genshin Impact)                 🍀A Subject🍀

A/N: It’s been a while since I posted something so here’s a Xiao one. Sorry, it took a while but I’ll try me best to write more since vacation is now here. Reader is gender-neutral. Hope you enjoy reading!

🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐🍀🍀💐

Black smokes and a pair of golden eyes. It’s the first thing that caught your eye as you arrived in the rooftop of the Wangshu Inn, a place that the traveler recommended on you as you told them you’re planning to go to Liyue, looking for a subject to sketch. The traveler warned you on the dangers you might encounter, making sure to remind you to call a friend of theirs in times of great danger and when you try to questioned it:

“He knows what to do. He’s an adeptus, a protector of Liyue,” they stated.

“Like a Knight of Favonious?” you questioned.

“You can say that…except the fact he works directly for their archon and really held great responsibility for the duties that the Geo archon laid upon him,” they explained further. “Oh and, please don’t forget to call him in case of danger. His name is-”

“Xiao.”

You uttered, staring into his golden eyes. You notice the black smokes surrounding him, you don’t know if it’s the effect of the teleportation he used or something else. You also take note of the spear he’s holding, the color same with the tips of his upfront hair. The once peaceful feeling on the terrace suddenly disappearing as the intense tension in the air completely evaporated it.

“How do you know my name?” He questioned, eyes squinting in suspicion. “You don’t seem like a citizen here. State your business.”

You blinked, “I-I’m from Mondstadt, I’m a friend of the traveler that-”

“The traveler, you say?”

As soon as he heard that, his whole demeanor changed. The black smokes slowly disappearing into thin air, clearing the whole tension that build up earlier. His grip on the spear relaxing a bit as he continues to inspect you.

“Did they send you here?”

His eyes remained looking at you carefully, maybe taking notes of your actions and what you might be up to. If not for mentioning the traveler, you might be in great danger now. Thank the Archons, the traveler warned you and lend you their knowledge for this trip.

“Not…exactly.” You answered, smiling slightly as you try to explain your reason. “You see, I came here because I need a new subject-”

“For what?”

“…Sketching an art. The traveler just assisted me on the things I should know before going here. They told me about you and to call you if ever I face something..really dangerous?”

He didn’t move an inch after your explanation. His lips remained in a straight line as he stared at you, processing your words before flipping his spear into the air which quickly disappeared in a blink. The movement making you flinch a little.

“The traveler’s right. In any case that you face something dangerous ahead, call my name. I’ll take care of it.”

He turned his back at you, looking at the view on the terrace as if scrutinizing every place around the inn. You watched as the wind blew, his hair dancing with it as the leaves on the tree fell into the terrace. You gently tiptoed to the side, not really going near him as it might put you in a bad situation. The sun reflecting half of his face add effects on what you were witnessing just right now. His gold eyes looking seriously but also faraway. You notice how the tips of his hair and his eyes seems to glow, you thought it might be because of the shade of the tree and the sun. His pale lips never moving an inch, remaining still like before.

You were too busy taking notes of everything you’re seeing. It’s perfect, way too perfect, in all honestly. The timing, the lighting and him, it’s pretty. A beautiful sight that you’re actually witnessing right now. A smile escaped your lips as you were taken in by the view. Fascinating.

“What are you still doing here?”

You blinked as he took a glance at you. All of your thoughts moving away for a second. Your smile turning into an awkward one as you thought he caught you looking too intensely at him.

“N-Nothing.” You tried to laugh, fixing your gaze into his gold orbs. “I just…really wanted to stay for a while. I mean, the scenery here is breathe taking like really breathe taking.”

He blinked slightly, confusion filling his eyes as he continued to look at you. You’re being weird in his eyes; your actions are too baffling for him. “You should go somewhere. Liyue has more places to offer with breath taking views. Don’t come near me as it might bring you in danger.”

Your head tilted in confusion, looking at him with a blank stare. “I don’t get it.”

“What?”

“I mean, you told me to call you whenever there’s danger and yet you threat yourself as a danger too. Aren’t you the protector of this city, Liyue?”

He scoffed. “You know there’s different kind of protectors, right?”

“Oh, so you mean like a vigilant or something. You’re like that?” you questioned; your voice fills with curiosity.

“Yes. Now, stay away-”

“But still, you’re just doing your duty right?” You cut him off unexpectedly. “Regardless of how evil or dangerous your actions are in your eyes, at the end of the day, it’s for the safety of the people here.”

He looked away, “You don’t get it, it’s much more complicated than that.”

You smiled, sitting down as you grab your sketching materials from your bag. “Can you explain it to me then?”

He sighed, “It’s something hard to-”

He stopped as soon as he saw you sitting down, a brush and a piece of paper in front of you as you were surrounded by brushes. At first, he was confused at what you were doing then it hits him.

“Are you secretly just keeping me distracted by talking to me?”

You hummed, glancing at him. “Not really, I’m curious too but I won’t pass any opportunity to sketch something…remarkable.”

“You’re wasting your time. Like what I said, there’s a whole lot of places than-”

“Say, can I…interest you into something?”

He looked at you in confusion. His eyes eyeing your brushes and other materials on the floor. You’re cutting his words, usually it was him that always cut someone off. It’s amusing, he thought but you’re being bizarre on your actions as time goes by. It’s not unusual for him to find a really determined and hard-headed mortals and you give off the same aura, except that you’re not begging him to give you wealth or something.

“Hello?” He snapped to reality as he heard your voice. You smiled as his eyes meet yours. “Are you okay?”

He closed his eyes; you should be no exception still. A mere mortal like you can’t get close too much to him or you’ll suffer, sooner and later.

“Get all of your stuff and leave.”

You lean back to the railings of the terrace, a sad smile forming your lips as you sighed. “Don’t I really stand a chance?”

“I told you, no.”

“Even if you’re the subject?”

His eyebrows knitted. “What? Do you really think that would make a difference?”

You chuckled. “Look, I’m trying. I’m not a good persuader like the traveler.”

He sighed, “You’re hopeless.”

A laughter escaped your lips on his remark. He looked at you as you laugh. He was never one for jokes, that meant to be an insult, he thought. Why are you laughing so light-heartedly? He wanted to ask you but you seem like you’re really having your time laughing and for some reason, he don’t want to disturb you. It’s the first time someone laughed at his comment with no any sign of malicious intent or hurt.

“Alright, I’m fine.” You fix yourself, fixing your throat for a second to stop yourself from laughing. “But seriously, don’t you wanted to see yourself in-”

“I’m not interested. A common behaviour of mortals like you was to always look for something priceable. I assumed you’re just going to sell it in high price anyway.”

You gasped in exaggeration, clutching your heart in a jokingly manner as you look at him. “That’s a very harmful stereotype to the people out there!”

“It was a normal act for mortals,” he deadpanned.

You hummed, “I mean, you’re not entirely wrong…”

“Because it’s what they are.”

You looked at the sky, thinking about what he said. “Say, do you have some deep grudge against these mortals?”

“Don’t call them like you’re not a part of them,” he stated.

You pouted. “I’m just asking.”

“Stop asking then.”

A sigh escaped your lips. “I don’t really sell some of my works, I only sell paintings or sketches of sceneries. It’s different when it’s personal.”

“Personal?”

“Something that really caught my eye, you know. Like what they said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whenever I see those moments, I keep them or sometimes I gave them to the people I shared the memories with. So…”

You looked at him, a warm smile on your lips. “I’ll give it to you once I’m done.”

He turned to you with a puzzled look, “What benefit is there for you then?”

“Connection with different people.”

“You should get close too much-”

“I know. Just let me sketch you and the scenery, then we’re finished,” you stated.

“Will you keep-”

“It’s a deal. I will keep those words.”

He looked at you intently as he tried to decipher your mind but no matter how he tried to looked at you, his curiosity just eats him more. You’re a weird one, he wanted to tell you but instead he kept it in his mind. He has a feeling you’ll just laugh again anyways.

He looked away. “Fine, just do it quickly.”

You cheered before picking up your brush again. “If I do it quickly, I won’t caught it perfectly.”

“You’re the one who wanted this,” he stated.

You pursed your lips. “It’s not my fault if I found my subject earlier than I anticipated.”

He glanced at you for a second before returning his gaze to the scenery ahead of him. He took note of the orange hue of the sky and the cold breeze of the wind. He closed his eyes as a thought entered his mind.

Maybe he can let this one slide.

𝐀/𝐍: sso sorry if xiao is kinda out of character! :<

𝐗𝐢𝐚𝐨 - "𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭" ✦♥︎

Xiao!" You yelled out as you walked out to the balcony, a container wrapped in a piece of white cloth in your hand. You inhaled the air as you walked towards the railings, admiring the view from Wangshu Inn as the wind rustled through your hair.

'If only I could live here...' You thought.

As you continued looking out the view, you heard familiar footsteps coming from behind you. You turned your head to face them, a smile forming on your face when you see who it is.

"Xiao, you came!" You shouted, running towards him and pulling him into a tight hug which made him stumble back slightly. The Adeptus just stood there awkwardly. A slight blush on his cheeks.

"O-Of course I did. You called my name, didn't you?" He muttered, slightly pushing you away from him.

"I said to call my name when you're in danger, but looking at your surroundings it seems that you aren't. I'll be taking my leave." Xiao continued, almost teleporting away. You pursed your lips and grabbed his wrist quickly, making him stop. He looks back to face you.

"What is it, mortal? You're wasting my time." He asks, making eye contact with you.

"I made you something!" You say, grinning. You handed him the clothed container that was in your hands.

"...What is this?" Xiao furrows his eyebrows, looking at the...thing you gave him.

"Open it!"

"Alright, alright--" He said, unwrapping the piece of cloth. When he saw what it was, his eyes widened slightly, his cheeks were painted a slight red.

"Almond tofu...?"

"Yeah! It's your favorite, right?" You smiled at him as you continued, "I made it!"

Xiao looked at the almond tofu, then at you. "...You don't have to busy yourself buying gifts for me."

"But I didn't buy it, I made it!"

"Yes, but--"

"Just eat the tofu!" You say impatiently, shoving the container to his chest. Xiao scoffs at you, holding the spoon that was inside the container and taking a bite of the almond tofu. He instantly scrunched his nose.

You giggled at him, leaning on the railings as the moonlight lit up the place, you looked at the stars while Xiao looked at you.

You looked so precious underneath the glimmering moon, and xiao loved it. The way you smile at him whenever you see him, the way you stop by just to see him, how you give him gifts every time. It just made Xiao fall deeper for you.

Was Xiao aware of these feelings? Of course not. He was confused why he was always soft every time you were around, why his cheeks a red hue. He was in denial at first when Zhongli said he was in love, but it became more apparent later on.

'Is this what love feels like?' Xiao questioned himself.

"--Xiao- Xiao!"

He snapped out of his thoughts when you shouted out his name.

"Hey, you ok?" A hint of worry in your voice. Xiao shakes his head.

"Don't worry, I'm alright." He answers and you frown at him. You shift closer to him, pressing the back of your hand on his forehead. Xiao flinched at the sudden contact.

"You're heating up."

"I said I'm fine." He grabbed your wrist, pulling it away. You shrug your shoulders. "If you say so."

The both of you stayed silent for a few minutes before Xiao opened his mouth to speak.

"Why...Do you spend time with me?"

"What do you mean?" You ask.

"You don't have to hang out with me," He mutters, "I'm a monster, i dont want to affect you, or worse, hurt you."

You felt guilty, you knew he suffered so much already. Your hand made your way to his hair, tucking back a strand behind hus ear.

"You're no monster to me, xiao." You whispered. "It wasn't your fault."

Xiao looked at you for a few seconds, still staying silent. But inside, he felt his heart beating faster. "Would you still like me," he pauses, "even if i have killed so many?"

You smile, "yes. I would still like you. Because i know you aren't like that anymore." You say, pulling his head to your shoulder.

"It wasn't your fault."

Oh well, i guess he can tell you the almond tofu tasted like shit next time.

Extra!

Zhongli chuckles, sipping on the tea that Verr offered him, peaking behind the wall of Wangshuu Inn.

"Ah, young love. Reminds me of my old days."

-You help the Adaptus from dying in the snow and in return he wants to make you his mate-

Yandere!Xiao x afab reader

𓁹Let Me Breed You𓁹

It was a cold morning in Liyue, snow scattered the ground of the region as most chose to stay home and enjoy the snow day, however you couldnt, you're a studying nurse who needed to test out some herbs and well these special herbs you're looking for only grow in the cold areas, so hoping to avoid a trip to Dragonspine with this newfound snow day you hoped to find the herb. The weather had turned for the worst, becoming even more bitter and cold, it made you feel like you were being eaten alive even if it wasn't all that bad. Just as you're about to give up your search you noticed something in the distance, squinting you realized it's... a person! They're laying in the snow, unmoving.

You quickly made your way to them to see it was the famous Adaptus Xiao, he was bloodied and unconscious.

𓁹Let Me Breed You𓁹

Quickly you reached down to feel his neck, faint but he still had a pulse. So you used all your strength to pick up the Adeptus and carry him to your cabin nearby, tending to his wounds, luckily with him not being human he would heal rather fast with the help of your care.

After a few days of treatment and healing you had healed all of his injuries, thankfully not enough to leave permanent scars or be any trouble, but he will get better now, hopefully.

That's how it all started, how the lonely Adaptus Xiao found a new fascination, before now he didn't really have any relationships, any care for humans other then his usual duty to protect them. But then you came along and everything changed, you brought him joy when nothing else could. You helped him become what he wants and wanted is to find love again, he wants someone to take care of him, someone to treat his wounds and tell him everything will be okay. It's like there was never anything wrong with him, even when he didn't want to accept these feelings, he knew they where true.

Of course after a few months you suggested he should probably get back to his usual dutys now that he's healed but to come back occasionally to chat, it's true he was fine now but.. he didn't want to leave, he didn't want to be away for even a moment but complied for now, these strange feelings only becoming more complicated for the poor Adapti as he's trying to figure them out.

Obsession, a simple word that his once innocent love became, even with his duties he made time to watch over you, stalking from a distance and keeping himself hidden. He didn't know what to say to you, even with these feelings he was still very socially awkward so he opted to just watch for now.

But you never notice, no one did because he's very good at staying inconspicuous, and you never notice him because he can always blend into the background, especially when he needs to.

And thats how things continue, for a while, over a span of a year he would watch you become the nurse you wanted to be, getting your license. However that's a problem, you wanted to be a travelling nurse, he couldn't have you leaving, he already killed so many men who attempted to swoon you, sent you so many gifts that seemed strange for toy. Most being parts of the enemies he killed that day, to show he could fight for you, sometimes being food, to show he can provide for you and even once the head of a guy that was being overly flirty to you, to show he can protect you. However he never put who sent the presents, he assumed you would know, unknowingly you're freaking out from such strange gifts.

However now isn't the time for him to send gifts, he has to act. Though with his now clouded judgement and twisted thinking he learned humans don't generally leave partners if they have offsprings, he could do that, then you wouldn't leave, you couldn't.

So he decided a gentle approach first, appeared before your home for the first time in over a year since you parted ways, well as far as you knew. Of course not knowing he was responsible for all the strange occurrences around you, you where relieved to see him, even hugging him.

"Xiao! I'm so glad you're back!" You felt so protected with him around, afraid of the stalker you knew Xiao could protect you.

His face reddening some as he hesitated but held you close, almost not letting go. You let him in as you spoke, at first it was of simple things, about what has been up to what you been doing and so on. It seemed pleasant until he out of the blue tackled you to your futon, blushing hard as you looked up at him "X-Xiao whats-"

"Let me breed you"

𓁹Let Me Breed You𓁹

a simple demand to him yet such a strong one for you, he just shows up after a year demanding such.. a huge thing.

"Xiao! Y-You can't just ask someone that-"

"Why? I've shown my love, I've shown my capabilities, just submit to me like a good mate won't you? " His eyes no longer held the same shy sweet look but rather an empty coldness you could only describe as pure lust. He was staring at you, waiting for you to respond to him. He looked hungry, almost predatory, yet you struggled against him, you even managed to push him off and run for the door, escaping out while he was confused at first but took it as a game of predator and prey, assuming you wanted him to catch you first.

He was soon chasing you outside your house with his mask on, you ran as fast as you could, you ended up hiding in a small cave area. Breathing heavily as you tried to catch your breath, it was all so clear, he was the one doing all this, it made sense, he would be the only one able to pull it all off.

You needed to get help, to find someone, maybe even get Zhongli to hel-

"Found you" his voice spoke from behind you, before you could react he already had you pinned down onto the ground, panting from your sudden exertion. You couldn't move, you were stuck as much by fear as by his hold on you. "Xiao please-"

"Please what?" His eyes held no warmth anymore as he leaned in to whisper "Will you agree to let me mate you? To make us one forever?"

You shook your head as your heart sank to the ground, tears forming in the corner of your eyes from your fear. "No."

He froze for a moment before, he looked hurt for a second but brushed it aside. "Don't worry, you'll learn to love me as I am eventually, right?" His eyes held a cold look yet he didn't need your response, he would make you love him.

He held your wrists above your head with one hand as he kissed you harshly, his lips where cold as his other hand felt your clothes body, as if to admire how well you looked in your outfit before ripping it from you. You screamed as he did so, unable to stop yourself as his lips moved to attack your exposed body, biting and kissing every part of your body as you writhed against him, he gripped you harder and rougher each second as he devoured you with his mouth and teeth. You soon felt two of his fingers shove themselves into your hole, stretching and preparing you, you closed your eyes and cried out in pain as you felt his finger stretch inside of you. A loud cry left your mouth as you felt the pain, your eyes wide open as tears continued to stream down your cheeks.

Suddenly he pulled out, leaving you gasping as the feeling of emptiness began to take over your whole body. You hated how your body betrayed you so, reacting to his touches like this. Before long you felt his cock slam into you, forcing himself further inside you making sure to keep most of his weight against you to keep you from wiggling away. Soon you saw stars as he slammed into you, his thrusts never failing to push himself as deep as he could, letting out animalistic growls as held you close to him, feeling his breath hitch some, his cock twitching inside as he continues his harsh pace. The next sound you heard was your own scream as his cum filled your womb and poured over your sensitive opening and out your body, coating you both in sticky white fluid and the smell was sickeningly sweet. As his cum dripped down you felt so tired, so exhausted. Barely able to keep your eyes open as he looked down at you, seemingly proud of the mess he made of you. "this will do nicely, there shouldn't be any reason you wouldn't bare my offspring" laying along side you on the cold ground, huddling you close to him. "I promise you I will always protect you and give you everything you crave" as he nuzzled your neck before finally falling asleep in your arms.

You remained silent as you felt your consciousness slip, the last thing you saw before you succumbed to sleep was the warm body next to yours holding you close as his breathing calmed and eventually slowed down until it turned quiet.

00. An Amputated Soul

DESCRIPTION: in liyue, wuwang hill is spoken of as the place where the dead dwell, and there’s a fable that’s oft–repeated among the youth of qingce village. xiao knows this tale, he witnessed it firsthand, and it is as familiar to him as the wind that he coils between his fingers. he does not speak of it much, for who is he to tell it to? all he knows is that the memory is prevalent as the disembodied whispers of karmic debt that call his name.

DISCLAIMER: gender neutral reader. brief mentions of nudity and death. multi-chapter fic.

My Teeth In Your Heart → Xiao
My Teeth In Your Heart → Xiao

It’s a strange sensation.

There’s no pain, just an all-consuming numbness that spreads throughout your entire body. Your fingers flex, although you’re barely able to make sense of their movements. You can only recognize the metronome of your heartbeat as you float wistfully, the blood in your veins roaring so loud that all other sounds fall deaf to your ears. This serenity, a moment free from shouldering the hardships of the world, seems all too foreign for you, although you can’t pinpoint the exact reason why.

Here, you drift in the endless cosmos, wet and thick. You’re untethered, a lone particle with no sense of gravity in the middle of space. Reality seems discombobulated, and life consists of fractured memories that you’re unable to put together, as if you are missing the puzzle pieces necessary to do so. There’s a heavy pounding in your temples, and the tresses of your hair float around your head like wisps of smoke caught in the moonlight.

It’s when you open your eyes that you realize you can’t breathe. You suddenly become aware that you’re submerged underwater, and the previous tranquility is replaced by a fervent hysteria. Curled up in a fetal position, your bones knock together at the joints, trying for a foothold over the slick crossings of the river floor. Withal, your limbs are constricted by the water reeds, rendering you practically immobile, and your feet sink into the slick, black earthsoup. The surface seems far away from your stricken fingers as you desperately flail them in an attempt to stay afloat.

You can feel your heart pulse sporadically in your teeth, and your spine convulses as you choke on the air that you can’t breathe. In a brief moment of clarity, you retract your arms, beginning to uproot the reeds that confine your body to the riverbed. Determination numbs the burning sensation that coruscates throughout your chest, snuffing out the white-hot sensation that begins to gnaw at your lungs. This newfound electricity swallows you whole, surging through your veins like an incinerator that’s sweltering hot and nuclear-powered. Mud billows up in waves from the floor.

You can taste the acrid tang of death as you bite down on your tongue, and you know it’s coming when your periphery turns white. An abrupt coolness rushes in, igniting a formication along your skin. In mere moments, you realize, you will float like the water reeds, nothing more than flesh and bones ready to decay in the currents. It’s unnerving to realize, it’s unnerving to even think about, and you want to push against the exhaustion that barrels onto your body; to strain for the moonlight that dims above. But your limbs grow heavy, your fingers turn bloated and blue, and your head is spinning, spinning, spinning…

A rough hand clamps down on your shoulders and you’re jerked out of the water before the darkness completely takes over your vision.

You break the surface, coughing and spluttering. Your chest heaves violently, sucking in desperate lungfuls of air that you had previously been so cruelly deprived of. The disturbed water sloshes around as you’re pulled onto the surface of a raft, and you collapse to your knees. Spindly fingers anchor themselves against the dried bamboo stakes, unable to let go until you’re steady once again. Your breath releases in sharp heaves, but it’s there, and that’s all that matters.

When the chill finally seeps into your skin, you see everything in pieces: the shadow of a silhouette in the fading moonlight, dark eyes fraught with concern, and frantic hands thrusting a sheet around your trembling body. Panting hard, you find a certain sense of relief when you cut your eyes to the person who stands by your shivering form. The landscape is blurry before you, and a restless energy hums beneath your skin.

“Are you alright?” the man asks you.

You don’t answer him at first. Instead, you swivel your head around as you take in your surroundings. You’re encircled by calm waters, serene despite their previous menace. Ripples lull the boat, and you follow their path to a shore that doesn’t lie too far from where you are now. You can barely make out the bamboo stalks that extend towards the night sky, framed by the gray cliffs that confine the surrounding land within an alcove of shadows.

“Where are we?” you ask him.

“This is Bishui River.”

The name rings with an unknown sense of familiarity, and you repeat it under your breath.

“If you don’t mind me asking,” the man crouches down beside you, “but, what happened to you?”

You wish you could answer him, and when you look down, you notice your hands are shaking. From the frustration of being unable to recall anything or your apparent weakness, you don’t know. It’s like there’s a roadblock in your mind, a screen that reaches from ground to sky that disconnects you from the world around you. Faint sounds plug your ears, memories float across your eyes, and you’re unaware of what you have forgotten. Your past is something hidden, but in this moment you cannot fathom what it might be.

“I don’t know,” you whisper. You ball your hands into fists, knuckles blanching and fingernails digging deep into your palms as you turn to glower at the waters below. A sharp pain lances through your skin, but you don’t release them. All you can do is tell him your name.

“I see,” he hums, and you look towards him, whose cloak reveals a subtle beard of black hair and callous hands - working hands. There are wicker baskets that lie adjacent to his feet, filled with scavenged fish and herbs, carrots and sunsettias. “I stopped using my real name a long time ago. You can just call me Jiangxue.”

Your eyes narrow, but you don’t lose focus. Your nature is to piece this puzzle together: a fisherman out in the dead of night, an unknown land that is strangely familiar, and you, a person composed of seafoam who was pulled to the surface with nothing but a name. You admit that that’s what bewilders you most, but you suck in a breath and push the thought away.

“There’s a village near here. I can take you there if you’d like,” Jiangxue speaks when your silence persists. His eyes glance towards your figure before quickly looking away. A cough catches somewhere between his lungs and his throat. “It consists of amiable folk. You should be able to persuade them into getting you some clothing.”

You look down at his words, and your throat drops to your stomach when you find your bare skin on display. A hypodermic heat rushes to your face, and you wrap the thin sheet tighter around your naked body.

“I … uh … sorry,” you manage to sputter out, bowing your chin down to your chest as if the simple action alone could erase all traces of embarrassment. “I hadn’t realized.”

“It’s no matter,” he affirms, paddling towards the land.

It begins to rain once the raft reaches the shore, and an argentine fluorescence seeps from the sky. The drops plummet from the sky, rapid and ruthless. As you step onto the bank, you find that the mossy ground is damp and sodden, a deep green pigmentation that indicates the fallen rain as a usual occurrence. Jagged stones press uncomfortably into your heels, and you can feel the way the air stills around you.

You don’t understand why these plains seem so disorienting, why the soft susurration of the leaves feel so heavy in your ears. This stupor comes alongside that previous sense of familiarity - an ambient nostalgia for a native land that you yearn to experience once again. There’s an entwining reassurance, distant childhood memories, and the comforts of home. Perhaps one day you will find out why.

When you see the man step off of his raft in an attempt to follow you, you stop him with the shake of your head.

“I’m fine from here on out,” you say before you can even make sense of the words. “I know my way there.”

Skeptical of your proclamation, he raises an eyebrow.

“Dawn will be here soon, you should return to fishing before the world wakes up.”

“You misunderstand,” he says, walking towards you nonetheless. “I do not fish for a living. Neither the process nor the result means much of anything to me.”

“Oh,” you frown. “Is it just a way to pass time, then?”

“Precisely that.” And then he smiles, reaching out his hand and placing it on yours. When he retracts, you find a sunsettia placed into the cocoon of your palm, accompanied by a glowing ornament composed of Varunada Lazurite. There’s a delicate swirl–like design imprinted in the middle of the gem, and your breath catches in your throat when you realize what it is: a Hydro Vision. It must have resurfaced alongside you.

You wish to thank him, but you can not find the voice to do so.

“Safe travels,” Jiangxue says. He turns away, only walking a few steps before he pauses entirely. He opens his mouth, and a look crosses his face then as if he doesn’t know what to say.

“Yes?” you ask of him. “What is it?”

He still doesn’t speak, and you watch as he unclips the cloak from around his waist, slipping it off his arms and rolling it within itself. He hands you the bundle of cloth.

“O-Oh,” you stutter, waving your hands in front of you. “I couldn’t possibly. You have given me far too much.”

“You are cold,” is all he says. “Take it.”

“Really, I don’t-”

“I implore you. Please take it.”

There’s something in his voice then, a plea that is all too unfitting for the composed man before you. Unable to fight against his wishes, you timidly reach forward and remove the article from his grasp.

“There should be no monsters to block your path,” Jiangxue says. “He has made sure of it.”

There is nothing to stop the bewilderment that illustrates your face.

“He?” you question, but the fisherman’s back is turned to you. Befuddled, you do not say anything more, and the quietude encroaches in.

Somewhere in the near distance, a bird squalls — the only sound to penetrate the silence. Jiangxue moves back onto his raft, situating a paddle between the calloused texture of his hands. You don’t wait to watch him leave, instead bowing your head in a display of gratitude before pivoting on your heel and weaving through the clotted bamboo.

When you are certain that you are adequately hidden, the soaked-through sheet that had previously found home on your shoulders falls to the floor. You cinch the cloak that Jiangxue gifted you around your body, and the linen cocoons your body heat comfortably. Pocketing your Vision and the sunsettia, you pluck the sheet from off the ground, and begin to walk forward once more.

It’s not a long trek, that much you can recall, but when you reach the edge of the village, you find that the world has flung itself over and a new sun breaks the horizon. It’s a nectarine-sweet sky, mingling above the mountain that cradles the abundant crop lands within its embrace. You cross the bridge over the terraced fields of crops and wildflowers, inching closer to the livening village. It remains peaceful and quiet all the same, even as its occupants begin to stir.

This isn’t a place that receives many guests, that much you can affirm, despite the boundless beauty the land withholds. The rising sun embraces your skin, silky and warm, and even the rough texture of the stairs beneath your feet seems to hold a fount of comfort within themselves. You can hear the hummingbirds philandering with the flowers, their birdsong coming in lulls and bursts. The aromatic hints of Jueyun Chili and Violetgrass invade upon the atmosphere, inspiring a warmth to pool within your stomach.

It’s when you near the top of the stone path that you can make sense of a hunched figure beneath the strung lanterns, still lit despite the day’s arrival. She paces from side to side, graceful in her steps regardless of the aged lines that sculpt her face, on display due to her gray hair tucked in a low bun. As if sensing your presence, she stops, the green of her dress swiveling with her movements as she pivots on her heel to face you.

“My dear,” she calls, as if she has known you all this time. “Welcome to Qingce Village. Why don’t you take a walk with me?”

The elderly lady nods her head towards the courtyard, and there you can see a conglomeration of buildings that frame the square, constructed of wood and bamboo stalks. Fruit stands are tucked into corners, and a little ways down, a water mill sits adjacent to a bridge, converging with the path that leads further up the mountain. From nearby, the sound of a waterfall marginally emerges above the noises of early morning, and a rush of wistfulness overwhelms your entire being.

“Have you been aware that I would come?” you ask as you step beside her. She leads you towards the bridge.

A small smile sets apart her lips. “You must know we have quite the accumulation of spies here.”

A look of confoundment overtakes your features, and before you can request her to explain any further, a muffled chorus of giggles is heard from behind you. When you turn around, three pairs of eyes stare curiously at your form, and petite hands latch onto the edges of the cart that the children hide behind.

“I was not aware that I’d been under surveillance.”

“Outsiders are rather rare here,” the elderly woman muses, turning her head to where you gaze. “Of course, they still have a lot to learn.”

A sense of amusement flutters within your chest.

“Might I inquire as to why you have come?” she asks you.

The question momentarily startles you, although you reason that it is not unexpected. Attempting to grasp at your thoughts, you press your teeth down onto your lip, and all answers that are brought to mind prove insufficient to her question.

She must notice your inner turmoil, because she provides a reassuring expression before speaking: “It is fine if you do not wish to indulge me. We all have things we wish to keep to ourselves.”

“It’s not that. It’s just … how do I put this?” you reply, taking a grounding breath before voicing further. “There are many memories before this morning that have escaped me, including the answer to your inquiry. Although, I do suppose I hoped that I might be able to acquire some assistance here.”

She seems to contemplate your words, and stops walking just before your feet make contact with the bridge. A middle-aged woman appears in your periphery then, raising her hand in greeting to the lady beside you, the other arm slung over a wicker basket that rests on her hip. She must be preparing for a day's worth of field work, you presume.

“I see. Let us go somewhere more private. We will converse there,” she says. “And perhaps we might find you some more suitable clothes.”

She leads you to a building that rests on a wedge below the peak of the mountain. It’s certainly the largest structure of the village, composed of wooden posts and joists to encircle the open space. A shallow pond borders the front entrance, lotus heads and lily pads peaking above its glassy surface. The inside is completely exposed to the external environment, and from here, you can make out the entirety of the village. Nonetheless, being under a roof grants you a gratifying sense of privacy.

With a fragile hand on the small of your back, the lady leads you to a painted screen wall that rests off–center of the building, framed by wooden beams. It’s a picture of the mountain, you promptly recognize, with streaks of orange and blue that appear to glow in the morning light. She gently encourages you behind it, and you don’t realize that there is a set of garments in her other hand before she’s pushing them into your own.

“There is no one around to see,” she says, as if sensing your hesitation, and leaves you to your own.

Once the woman rounds the corner, you make haste in removing the cloak, slipping on the pants that tighten at your waist. The silk laced fabric flares out to brush at your ankles, and the cerulean trimmed edges barely graze upon the ground. The main portion is a dark umber, much like the short sleeved shirt given to you, with stitched decals of ochre and blue. It takes you longer than you’d like to admit to bind the fastenings down your chest.

There is no mirror nearby, but you are gently pleased by the choice in fabrics. You run your fingers over the material, feeling the ridges, the needlework, and the cotton–like texture. You know you’re in no position to experience such a luxury at the given moment, but you also have no entitlement to brush off such a thing. Your body hums with gratitude, and you step out from behind the wall.

The elderly lady seems to be equally as pleased, as she sends you a tight–lipped smile. From where her hands are clasped behind your back, she motions towards the chairs that circle the center of the building, fringing on the carmine painted engraving of a flower–like design. You take a seat.

“Might I ask your name?” You are the first to speak.

“You may call me Granny Ruoxin,” she muses. “I do apologize if it isn’t too lively around here, but life is pleasant here, and I hope you find a sense of enjoyment within the village.”

You learn forward, eager. “You mean it? I can stay?”

She nods, and it’s like the Universe has bursted into light. “There is plenty of room. You may stay until you are certain of where your journey will take you.”

A glint from the sun sparks your gaze, and you watch as Granny Ruoxin moves to sit beside you. Her movements are leisurely, hands crossed–hatched with scars reaching down to clasp yours in her own, and you dare to wonder of all the ways in which your life is about to unfold.

heyy... Xiao x dragon reader who really annoys Xiao and possibly suddenly when they are side by side uses his dragon tail by passing it over his shoulder and so on?

Ouuuu this really tickles the monsterfucker part of my brain!! Reminds me of Dan Heng IL from HSR (づ๑•ᴗ•๑)づ♡ Anyways here's your ask!!

Ineffable Annoyance

Heyy... Xiao X Dragon Reader Who Really Annoys Xiao And Possibly Suddenly When They Are Side By Side

"Hey Xiaoooooooo." you whined as you lolled on the floor of your bedroom, Xiao on your bed making new talisman.

He remained seated on the bed, ignoring you, his legs crossed and his lap containing dried leaves, seashells, paper and other such materials to make the demon repelling talismans.

You rolled on the hardwood floor of the room, using your tail to fan yourself. It had been one of the hotter days in Liyue, and you had been dying for water and cooling like a fish (technically you are a lizard).

You had suggested Xiao to come and have a dip in the waters near the Wangshuu Inn. However........

"Xiaoooo!" you huffed are you raised yourself from the floor, glaring daggers at the teal haired man, your tail angrily swishing behind you. "Are you still not done?"

Xiao barely looks up from the little wind charm thingy he was painting in red, carefully making streaks on the wooden ball.

"No. Wait a little more till I finish painting it. And then a bit more for it to dry. Then a bit more for me to apply wax to it-"

"Oh come onnnnn!!!" You protested, trying to muster up your angriest dragon face as you glared at him. "You said that you will accompany me to the waters. If you delay anymore I might turn into dried fish you know. Smiley Yao might use me in his latest recipe."

Xiao looks at you, sporting a slight sly grin, clearly amused by your frustration.

"Lizard. Not a fish. And I am making both of us talismans because the waters here are infested with God's remains and corruption infested monsters. I wouldn't want your energy to attract them."

You curl up your arm, bulging out your bicep, grinning confidently.

"As if I need some wood, paint and wax to protect me from monsters!! I am a dragonborn remember? I am strong enough myself!! If any monsters come up to you I will beat them all to a pulp too!"

He frowns as he turns his attention back to the talisman in his hand. "Yes, you are strong. I will not deny that. However, I wish you were more cautious with your safety and not resolve everything just because you possess brute strength. Now, be a patient little dragon, and let me finish paint these. Then I will take you out for a swim."

He hears a "Humph!" and a thump of your tail, and assumes you had enough of your little tantrum. He puts his entire focus on the talisman in his palm.

He takes a carving knife as he carves out the letters of "protection" onto them. He has to put his whole heart into making these little safety trinkets for you. He had gifted you a silver lock charm a few weeks ago, the amulet jingling with your every step.

These symbols and trinkets of protection were given from a parent to a child, from one lover to another. He had overheard a grandmother telling her grandchildren that no one who hates who would ever gift you a charm of goodwill.

He had then realized that it's not the symbol of the talismans that protected the wearer, it was the wish of their loved ones that gifted them the charm that protected them.

From then on, he kept on making you handmade charms and talismans for protection, good luck, prosperity, every goodwill under the sun he could think of, he would craft it in silver, wood, paper and ink to gift you his wishes, hoping they kept you happy and most importantly for him, safe.

He set aside the carving knife as he dusted the surface of the talisman. He had to wax it to protect the wood from getting moist and setting in rot.

He reached out his hand for the small bar of wax next to him, when-

"Oi!" he yelled out at you, his nimble hands catching the feathery tip of your tail before it could tickle his neck. "Tails and hands off please."

You had a smug expression as you retracted your tail back to your side, "What do you mean, Xiao? Didn't I tell you I don't exactly have control of my tail?" you say as your tail reached his waist to tickle him again.

Xiao blushed as he caught your tail again, his flushed cheeks betraying his annoyed look.

"Didn't I tell you to stay put? And you are simply-Hey!! What are you doing?! Stop!"

The short adeptus squirms and struggles from the ensnarement of your tail which was wrapping around him like a snake to its prey.

You lift him from the bed and bring him to face you, your tail tightly constricting him from any movement.

"Like I said, I am not the one doing this." You jested as you brings your hands to cup his face, smoothing out the frown on his face. "If my tail thinks that it's enough, perhaps it's bored out of its mind as well. Come on now! Let's go!"

Xiao couldn't do anything but sigh as you dragged him out to take a dip in the waters.

He could finish the talismans later. After all, a mere charm would pale compared to the wishes he could convey them to you himself.

HALLO!!!!!! what if xiao x a very affectionate reader

Ask and you shall receive my lil' elf!!! FYI the reader is not from Tevyat but not Lumine or the fem!MC (specifying this because Xiao can't be around normal people due to his karmic debt)

A Sweet Dream Midnight

HALLO!!!!!! What If Xiao X A Very Affectionate Reader

The breeze on the balcony of the Wangshu inn was fresh and chilling, with a hint of sea salt. You took the portion of Almond tofu you had specially made for Xiao and climbed up to the terrace.

The adeptus usually slept on the branches of the grand tree the inn was built upon, but today he was absent. You pouted as you contemplated whether to call his name or leave your offering of the almond tofu and go back.

"You know, you could just call me when you come here. There is no need to hesitate." A gritty, young voice spoke over your shoulder.

You turned around, a huge grin plastered on your face, "Xiao!!! I missed you so much! Look I even cooked your favorite!" You said as you held up the plate of almond tofu, garnished with sugary beads of candy.

Xiao took a look at the plate, then at the moon and back at you. His eyes steadily stared into yours, as if trying to get a message across.

"Hmm? What's wrong Xiao? Not in the mood for some?" You asked as you tilted your head at him.

Xiao looked away and sighed. He didn't look as exhausted as he did on other days, so you assumed he didn't have many monsters to clean up today. But there was always a slight slump to his shoulders, as if the duties he carried were to heavy for him to carry alone.

Xiao turned to you, moonlight putting a slight shimmer in his amber eyes.

"I....didn't mean that. I merely wanted to suggest that there's no need to come here this late at night just to see me."

You sat down near the edge of the terrace, your legs dangling as you set down the almond tofu next to you.

"I know I know. I just wanted to see you! Looking at your beautiful face means when I sleep, my dreams will be the sweetest and when I wake up I shall be full of energy and ready to face a day full of commissions!"

He scoffed as he sat down beside you as well. "I will never understand what kind of foolishness mortals indulge in."

You pouted at that comment as you took the dish in your lap and scooped a spoonful of the tofu and put it in front of Xiao's face.

"Here say 'ahh'."

Xiao backed up as he stared at the spoon with doubt. "Really??"

You nodded as you pushed the spoon further to his lips. "Come on. It's been too many days since I've seen you. Let me have this moment please." You pleaded as you flashed him your best attempt at puppy eyes, knowing he was weak to them.

"You-" he sighed, "Alright then. I shall let you spoonfeed me."

You hummed in delight as he ate the sweet off of the spoon. You took another spoonful and raised it to his lips again.

Slowly he let you feed him, while the gentle breeze of Dihua Marsh jingled his accessories and talismans he wore.

Once the tofu was finished and all that remained were the sugary candies you used as garnish, he took the spoon from your hands to scoop them and raise them to you instead.

"Here. Almond tofu might be my preferred dish, but I remember you liking the candy and almond garnish more than the tofu itself."

You smiled as you parted your lips to eat the sugar candies. They were slightly wet and dissolved due to the almond tofu, but they tasted exceptionally saccharine when fed by Xiao.

"Feeding me sugar late at night. Adeptus Xiao, do you wish for me to not sleep tonight?" You teased him as you take in the taste of the candies.

Xiao smiled gently, brushing aside a few strands of your hair that got ruffled due to the wind.

"If that happens, all you need to do is to call my name, and I will be there to help you get to sleep."

"Hm....so you say. I will make sure you keep your word." You yawned as you tried to blink out the sleep out of your eyes.

Xiao noticed this, turning his head he suggested "Should you not be getting back to your residence? Otherwise if you feel too tired, Verr Goldet will be more than happy to lend you a room."

"Hmm? No I'm not sleepy. Tell me what you did this week, we haven't met in this long, I wish to know." You insisted as you leaned your head on his shoulder.

"Alright then, as you wish. Today was rather uneventful I suppose, not many monsters to clean up around here, so I opted to help Smiley get a few ingredients."

"Mhm. Sounds nice." You yawned again.

"Yesterday was the same as well I suppose. A child was playing near the waters, I had to escort her to a shallower area for her safety."

"Mhm. Such a law-abiding little birdie."

"Shush you. And I had gone to help Ganyu with some errands regarding the Adepti. And before that-.........Love?"

He looked down at you who was peacefully asleep on his shoulder. He smiled to himself as he pressed a soft kiss to your temple and carried you to a room in the inn.

As he tucked you in, removing your hair accessories and boots he whispered a single thought, almost a wish. Lost to the thousand winds.

"If dreaming about me is what you wish, then I wish you have the sweetest of dreams this night."

Of All Things, I Became...

Of All Things, I Became...

Of All Things, I Became...

You always imagined that if you woke up in the world of Genshin, the possibilities of being a Visionless wielder of elements and a slew of romantic shenanigans would lie in your wake. But when you instead find yourself in the body of a Genshin mob with romance likely out of the question, your only conclusion is that the gods of reincarnation isekai hate your guts.

cw. you lost the isekai 50/50 and became a genshin mob

pairing. genshin x reader

notes. i read [of all things, i became a crow] and decided to run with it. i apologize for nothing. i might add more species from genshin depending on my mood lol. this was originally only going to be about an aranara!reader but... i got inspired

Of All Things, I Became...

Of All Things, I Became...

... an Aranara

... an Oceanid

... a Geovishap

... a Thunder Manifestation

... an Anemo Slime

So you died and woke up as a Genshin mob. At least you got some cool powers out of it, I guess. Results may vary in trying to get a travel companion out of it though. Not all non-human races in Genshin are created equally, you come to learn.

My Body is Mine Once More

Aranara Edition

Oceanid Edition

Geovishap Edition

Thunder Manifestation Edition

Anemo Slime Edition

After ingesting an elemental crystal, you manage to get your body back! More or less. Not everything about you has returned to normal and if you ever get too emotional, you turn back into your mob form. At the very least, you still are able to use your sick ass powers, so that's a bonus!
