Hey guys! 

I just reached 100 followers, so let me introduce myself!

I’m Anna! I’m 24, I was born and raised in New England, and continue to make it my home to this day. I have two beloved cats, a puppy who rules my world, and a fiance I can’t wait to marry this October. My favorite poets include Sylvia Plath, e. e. cummings, and Allen Ginsberg. I have dreams of publishing a few small collections of poetry I have on the back-burner, some still in progress. Fingers crossed something happens with those in the near future! 

To my followers, I want to thank each and every one of you for following my writing journey and supporting me along the way. It means so much to me when you like, reblog, or message me your comments, compliments, and critiques! You make my world go ‘round! :) Many of you are on similar journeys and reading each new poem from such talented writers and poets is an amazing inspiration and motivation for me to keep writing. Good news is like a good symphony

Close your eyes and listen for hours

The ups and downs of various voices

Monotone or melodic they chime away

Knowledge falling from a fountain

A source unseen and wearily trusted

But it comes so easily from the teeth

That tumble and fall and catch again

A dancer re-footing from a stumble

And off they run from point to point

To one I give a hum and nod

A chorus of opinions from the radio

And on and on the chatter runs

Wedding

All this wedding planning has been taking

a huge toll on my writing endeavors.

My untouched document stares at me

from its all but forgotten tab as I shift through

cakes, flowers, and dresses in tangled masses.

I hope I can find the time to return to its

blank, blinking boredom before

the big day in October
