miss iris, if you were to make a charm of dr mikotoba, what animal would it be?
Dearest Ribbon,
It is rather difficult to choose a proper animal for such a thing! I had Papa as a bunny, but then when I met Susie I realized that she would also be best represented by a bunny! I made Roxy a cat, and then I realized that Kazumie would also be a cat! So, I wanted to get some more variety within the animals I have.
With a mouse, a bear, two cats, two bunnies, and a hedgehog... Hm. I do rather like the idea of him as a fluffy little dog. A very cuddly, warm, sleepy creature... or perhaps another bear, like mine! That way, Susie matches Papa and I match his partner!
What do you think? Iris
I have a question for Knife Juror. You're my favourite Juror, but how do you get away with possessing a knife in court? And what is your profession? Trace.
Trace,
I'll have you know that I'm an absolute professional. The knife is just a sign of the work I do, eh? I'm a barber by trade, Aiden is my name, and they said they couldn't find anyone else, so they let me. If they had a problem with me knife, then they should've had a problem with that girl's weird smoke gun.
And... thank you. For the favorite thing. I appreciate that.
Signed, Aiden Richmond (knife juror)
hey genshin will your ghost associate with klimt’s ghost
Regrettably, it does seem I am stuck with him.
...Though, I will say, it has been rather entertaining to spend more time with him... In life, neither of us got as much time as we would have liked.

Inquiry towards the members of the van zeiks household
We are writing to you in regards to rumors of items contained within the van zeiks manor. We would like to know the validity of the claim that you are in possession of one “dragon skeleton”. If authentic, that would be one of the most monumental discoveries in the history of our great country. While many members have their doubts, it was not that long ago that we discovered that the once mythical okapi was indeed a a living breathing beast. We a truly living in an age of discovery. In addition, we have also been informed of the possible possession of many exotic specimens, both living and preserved. Access to such a collection would be instrumental in helping our organization in our scientific endeavors.
We are eagerly awaiting any further information you wish to provide.
-Zoological Society of London
With regards to the Zoological Society of London,
I understand that this may be quite disappointing, but it must be said that I cannot believe in the possibility of dragons. While I do not study science as much as some of my acquaintances, I believe I understand enough to know that such a creature would not be able to lift its body off of the ground. With that out of the way, I do know what specimen you are speaking of.
The late Lord and Lady van Zieks, my mother and father, were braggarts, to put it bluntly. I do not know precisely where they sourced their bones, though I do believe it was from Africa. I do not know if they themselves put this skeleton together in such a state or if they were tricked into buying it, but, that being said... It's not a dragon skeleton. My best guess would be a large animal such as a giraffe, a hippopotamus, or an elephant.
There are many things that my late parents decorated our homes with, things that I am not very attached to. That being said, I highly doubt any of these things would be of much interest to such a group of scientists. They had owned an exotic snake, cheetah, baboon, and possibly even more animals, though as such animals led to the death of my father, we did not keep these animals.
I am willing to answer any further inquiries on this subject.
Lord Barok van Zieks
Dearest Yujin
When will you be returning? The mysteries have lost their allure as of late. I yearn for our adventures. With you at my side there was no case too great. Nothing we couldn’t solve through our dance of deduction. Do you remember the late nights we spent together? All the long hours we put in to find the missing piece of the puzzle. Our long conversations as we slowly but surely figured out how it all slotted into place. It must have been difficult on you, I realize that now. But I believe deep down you loved the thrill just as much as I. You wouldn’t wan it any other way. I know you were only here for the briefest time but England is lesser from your absence. I hope to hear from you soon.
I miss you
-your partner
Ps, tell your daughter that I said hello and that I wish her well. She’s just like you in uncountable ways.
Beloved Partner,
I fear I am not entirely sure when it would be possible for me to return to England. You know as well as I do how I long to be there, to continue our investigations of old, to live together once more and never having to leave... My life is lonelier, quieter, sadder without you here at my side. Even now, as I get excited, I find myself starting to tap my feet... I think of you constantly. In the many years we were apart, I thought of you often, but eventually got over the strength of my emotions about having left. Now, I am not so sure when I will be able to become calm once again.
Naruhodou and Susato have been working together to improve the law, and while I trust them fully... I fear that their work is not yet done. I wish to help them, and yet it seems the right decision may be to let her go. Pardon me, let them go. Having left her behind as an infant... I do not know that I can leave once more. While I long for your company, I don't know that I can find a way to give mine.
Though, with that in mind, I know that Naruhodou has been exchanging letters with Kazuma, and it is clear that he longs for a visit with his friend once more. Perhaps it could be possible. Or perhaps you could visit me on holiday.
I miss you dearly. I wish to be with you.
Signed, Dr. Yuujin Mikotoba
P.S. - I could not be prouder of the children we have raised, both together and separate. They are all incredible. Our family is perfect.
To barok,
What do you think about your new niece? Any thoughts about how she is the only child of your beloved brother… Your brother who was also the professor?
Ace-chaser,
I fear that my feelings on Iris being my niece are too complicated to sum up through one single correspondence. She is a brilliant child, and she reminds me quite a bit of him... Or, at least, the side of him that I knew.
There is a lot I must reconsider about my brother. The kind of person he was, how it would have ended had he stayed alive... though, perhaps it is best that he died when he did. He caused a significant amount of misery in his time.
I truly hope his better side lives on in his daughter.
Signed, Lord Barok van Zieks
To Iris Wilson: You're so talented and I'm so impressed at all the things you can do at such a young age! How did you learn all of it?
Dearest Trace,
Aww, you are so very sweet! I know that most children my age haven't achieved such things as I have, and it is so nice of you to compliment me like that!
As for how I learned it...
My Papa, of course! He has so many books simply laying around, and when he leaves on a case I read them all. He tells me about his deductions too sometimes, and I think I've learned his system better than he has. And, of course, there's experimentation... Maybe I'll show you my journals someday!

To Enoch
What is the best Creature?
To anon.
I actually did quite a bit of work under a veterinarian when I was still living with my parents. I wanted to apprentice under him but my parents did not want this, so it was a bit of a secret apprenticeship. It was quite a bit of fun, and absolutely fascinating, but those years are long past.
Tat being said, my favorite animal is the humble pig. They are ferocious creatures with a strong personality and a penchant for eating anything. Quite literally anything, aside from metal. And that is certainly not for lack of trying, I simply believe they cannot process such a food. In fact, I know of only one animal brave enough to eat metal, that being the goat, though that is neither here nor there.
Pigs are intelligent creatures and I admire their tenacity. When I was younger, I would pretend an old ear of corn or an undesirable wooden crate was an effigy of whatever had been frustrating me lately. I learned later that there is a similar process in the South called voodoo. Fascinating stuff.
I hope this satisfies you. Enoch Drebber
To a Mr Herlock Sholmes,
Whatdo you know about Moriarty?
Trace.
Dear Trace,
Ah, Moriarty. That is a name I haven't heard in quite some time! Quite a caper, that was. My partner and I were on his tail for months, trying to suss him out, and when I finally encountered him, it was in the most dramatic of locations.
We were near the top of a waterfall! The rocks were slippery, the two of us were tussling, it was life and death, and I was winning! When all of a sudden...
Mikotoba pulled me to the side! He forced me to step away! Many times he has tended my bruises, set me by the fire, forced me to eat and drink, but never had he stepped in like this!
He pulled me back as I slipped on the rocks, tearing my favorite pair of investigating trousers! I attempted to pull myself up, but the mud put me back on the stony ridge! I looked up and Moriarty was no longer there... I never saw another sign of him.
I do believe he fell off of that ledge. Please do not tell Iris I risked my life like this. I don't want her to follow my decisions. She should be more like Mikotoba.
Thank you for your question,
Great British Consulting Detective, Herlock Sholmes
To Albert and Barok let’s just say you two had twins a boy and a girl what would you name the kids?
What a delightfully difficult question, anon!
As may not surprise you, I haven't put much thought into having children. I hope I do not need to explain why. That being said, I brought it up with Barok and we both have some things of note about names. I personally believe that twins should have names beginning with the same letters, and he truly enjoys the idea of naming children after plants.
I suggested Henry or Henrietta, and perhaps Harold. Maybe Harry. He thought that perhaps we could go with Heather and Hyacinth. I don't believe I can narrow it down from that list without any help! I have a hard enough time making other, even less important decisions.
What a thought, though. I love it! Albert Harebrayne
I've worked on answering all the asks that I have for today, and they're all saved as drafts. Queuing is being weird, and so I have to publish them by hand. I am attempting restraint in not posting them all at once, but don't be surprised if they post in weird intervals.
I'm loving all the asks so far! Feel free to keep them coming!!
