did you know that every time you try to scold a sex-repulsed or sex-averse ace for existing with "aspec people can like sex!" your lifespan shortens by 5 whole months and your demise gets even more fire involved
(This is all a joke)
I love the Dick is pushing thirty and all the Batkids tease him about it and he’s dramatic. But what’s infinitely funnier is in the Robin story (the one illustrated by piccolo) Dick looks young enough to go undercover as a student in highschool.
Which means that Dick with a little bit of effort can pass for 17-19
Which means Jason ‘drawn like a 40 year old whose doing 20 to life in prison built like a brick shithouse’ Todd
Definitely looks older at 23 than Dick does at 27
And so the boys get their licks in and Dick does his howls moving castle let me lie on a bed dramatically like an 18th century women fainting
Calls Kori like ‘babe be honest am I too old for you, do I need Botox? HAVE YOU SEEN A GRAY HAIR PLEASE’ on speaker in front of the Batkids because honestly it’s a funny joke.
And then they go to a bar
And Dick gets ID checked
At 27
He’s been a hero for 19 years
He just got fucking ID checked at the bar
And then when they get into the bar
Jason gets called sir
And he gets called Dude
Because he looks barley legal apparently
And that’s even fucking worse
How is it everyone can laugh at him for being old and HE DOESNT EVEN GET OLD MAN PERKS.
HE HAS OLD MAN BONES, THEY SOUND LIKE HE NEEDS WD-40 (what do you mean that because of the 23 years of intense acrobatics and the 19 years of punching People, and carpel tunnel inducing precision shut up)
And Jason finds it even funnier until dick desperately asks how old the barkeep thinks he is and the dude goes like “idk 21? Barely”
And Jay laughs until the dude went “yeah I mean you look like a kid whose uncle is taking him here for his first drink”
And Jason cuts the laugh mid HA and goes “excuse me?”
Anyway now Dick if finding it funny again
It stops being funny all together when he’s the only one to get ID’d on Tims 21st birthday
Because Tim is 4’0 (it’s only a 3 INCH HEIGHT DIFFERENCE dICK)
And has baby fat on his cheeks at 21 and he can still pitch his voice into an androgynous or fem voice.
(Tim paid the bar keep to do this, he’s stirring shit)
Dick spent so much time climbing, hanging off things, or solving problems upside down that it became a joke with the Titans that Robins think better like that. Fast forward a couple of years and Jason threatens to shoot the next person who flips him upside down when he's scheming (Artemis gets Bizarro to do it). Tim nearly kicks Kon in the face for flipping him over. Kara does it when Stephanie's being annoying, but mercifully by the time Damian's there, no one does it to him. Still, occasionally one of the Bats will be upside down because they got caught like that or fell through a vent and have a Eureka moment and everyone will feel vindicated and it starts up all over again.

I’ve done about half of these myself in one WIP or another and a little detail here or there goes a long way in reminding the audience that this isn’t Kansas anymore.
So you're telling me, you're not obsessed with two gay ass motherfuckers, that permanently altered your brain and you do not think about them every living moment of your life, and you don't cry about them on daily basis? Ah. That's.......cool.
i wanna be on jason todd fans’s side so bad but the way some of y’all talk about him… y’all. he’s a victim and a victimizer. he’s justified in his anger but some of the ways he go about it ain’t. he’s correct in pointing out bruce’s flaws and “moral code” and how it affects gotham city, but what he does as red hood ain’t no better (it’s actually worse from an utrh pov). y’all (rightly) say that he can’t and shouldn’t have to be the “perfect victim”, that bruce has failed him in many ways before and after his death, which is so true. but then when jason does some actually fucked up stuff in response to that trauma y’all suddenly tryna justify that?? idk, i get stans being protective of jason todd bc a lot of his history was changed to form this narrative of him being violent and angry all the time to justify why the batfam treat him like that (ie classism). but *some* of y’all (def not all) get so weird when ppl point out his own flaws/mistakes that ain’t kissing his ass either.

"Are you gonna be there?"
"How about we sneak off, just you and me?"
"Why don't I cook for them? What's their favourite dish again?"
*aggressive google searches about how to propose to your crush*
"I'll join those dance lessons, maybe then she'll notice me."
*hopeless around them*

*gets jealous* "So, are you seeing them or something?"
"Are you okay?" // "Completely okay!" (definitely not okay)
*tries to sabotage their crush's date*
*gets into trouble so they can be scolded by their crush*
"I want you to come with me, please?"

Batman is great with kids. He's kind, he's gentle, he's patient. But never towards his own.
A tragedy of Bruce being a parent, stopping seeing his kids as kids.
If you're tired of the usual vices like arrogance or impatience, here are some unique (or at least less basic) character flaws to give your perfect characters:
Pathological Altruism
A character so obsessed with helping others that they end up doing more harm than good. Their inability to let others grow or face consequences creates tension.
2. Moral Narcissism
A character who sees themselves as morally superior to others, constantly justifying selfish or harmful actions because they believe they have the moral high ground.
3. Chronic Self-Sabotage
A character who intentionally undermines their own success, perhaps due to deep-seated feelings of unworthiness, pushing them into frustrating, cyclical failures.
4. Emotional Numbness
Rather than feeling too much, this character feels too little. Their lack of emotional response to critical moments creates isolation and makes it difficult for them to connect with others.
5. Fixation on Legacy
This character is obsessed with how they’ll be remembered after death, often sacrificing present relationships and happiness for a future that’s uncertain.
6. Fear of Irrelevance
A character-driven by the fear that they no longer matter, constantly seeking validation or pursuing extreme measures to stay important in their social or professional circles.
7. Addiction to Novelty
Someone who needs constant newness in their life, whether it’s experiences, relationships, or goals. They may abandon projects, people, or causes once the excitement fades, leaving destruction in their wake.
8. Compulsive Truth-Telling
A character who refuses to lie, even in situations where a lie or omission would be the kinder or more pragmatic choice. This flaw causes unnecessary conflict and social alienation.
9. Over-Identification with Others' Pain
Instead of empathy, this character feels others' pain too intensely, to the point that they can’t function properly in their own life. They’re paralyzed by the suffering of others and fail to act effectively.
10. Reluctant Power
A character who fears their own strength, talent, or influence and is constantly trying to shrink themselves to avoid the responsibility or consequences of wielding it.
