Since I realized these two characters have a lot in common, actually.
(All images, aside from the one on the top right are from google/stock images. The top right one is from Thor: Dark World, and the bottom left is a photo of a sculpture in a Pokemon center in japan.)
I reserve the right to headcanon that marijuana isn't that uncommon in Asgard and nobody can take that away from me. (I also feel like they'd be more partial to eating or drinking it rather than smoking it, but that's just me.)
I mean, with how liberal they seem to be with alcohol, I genuinely don't see how they wouldn't at least try other substances.
Not like that would necessarily even be a result of mortal influence from their visits to Midgard, either. They'd probably discover that kind of thing and enjoy it just on their own merit.
When I watched Zootopia the first time, I honestly thought it was going in the direction of the savages being animals who contracted rabies. Especially after seeing the scene with Manchas, I thought: 'Oh, Emmit scratched him, and because of that, he contracted rabies from him.'
...So, what I'm saying is: The actual plot of the movie was disappointing, tbh.
People assuming the predators were going savage only to figure out it's not the predators at all, but a virus that makes you super aggressive and violent? That just sounds interesting. Discounting entirely the sucky 'twist villain' thing. Making the movie have no real villain other than the discovery of a crazed viral outbreak?
...Maybe that's just the zombie fanatic in me talking, but I honestly think that would've made for a way more interesting movie.
Most people for some reason immediately assume that if I'm a 'fan of Loki' that automatically means I must be attracted to/am a fan of Tom Hiddleston.
And like... *Didn't know who Tom Hiddleston was until I looked up Loki's actor.* *Doesn't keep up with anything he's doing, including roles he's been in.* *Doesn't know jack shit about Hiddleston's career or anything about him.* *Likes not just MCU Loki, but also the ones from other cartoons, comics, video games, etc to the exact same extent.* *Legit forgets who Tom Hiddleston even is sometimes.* *Was one of the people who hated the fan-service scenes in the 'Loki show'.*
So Like... I guess you can say the only reason I like Loki or am attracted to them is because of Tom Hiddleston but... I mean, just because you say something doesn't mean it's true.
True story, btw, Someone brought him up and I was like: "...The guy who plays Spiderman?" They laughed at me when I said that and I was so confused, lmao.
I think it's kind of sad that I can't bring myself to care about new stuff in the MCU anymore.
It's not about superhero-fatigue or whatever other things people are suggesting may be the cause, though. I feel like the reason I and many other people are starting to overlook new stuff and not care is because the people making those movies and stuff basically just... stopped caring about it themselves.
They stopped really putting effort into it, and it shows. There are a couple of outliers, like Moon Knight, but for every Moon Knight that comes out, there are three Loki series, or Mobius movies. Y'know?
It's become less and less rewarding and less and less fun to watch. Just cash-grabs, rather than actual stories with substance.
And I feel like this is easy to notice when you think about how Invincible and The Boys is super popular despite the idea of 'Superhero fatigue'. The difference between DC/Marvel and The Boys/Invincible? (Besides the violence, obviously.) is that 'The Boys' and 'Invincible' actually have time, effort, and love put into them. While the DCEU and the MCU are both basically being milked to death by the same people who tried to copyright 'Día de los Muertos' after they made the movie Coco.
...But hey, at least we still have the MCU before Ragnarok (+Black Panther) to enjoy, right? We also have all the animated DC and Marvel content, as well as all the comics.
Lol I've just met a person who said that "yes, Loki was mind controlled, but he hurt Clint so he's responsible, but Clint is not responsible because he was mind controlled and that was traumatic for him."
It just gets better with every day of existing in this fandom.
I can't help but notice how many people like to say that Brahms is rich. People will be like: 'Greta made a mistake in choosing Malcolm when she had a perfectly good rich guy right there.' and stuff, right?
But, I'm over here like: "...N-no? He really isn't? lol."
I know most of these people are meaning it as a joke, but this has been in my head for days and it won't leave me alone, so I have to make a post about it or I'll never know peace, lmao.
Now, I can see why they'd make this connection, right? He lives in a mansion, his parents are rich, and his parents are dead. Problem is, as far as everyone else is concerned, so is he.
The way this kind of thing works(take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm not good with legal stuff.), is that when someone dies, they can leave their possessions to people in their will, right? Well, you can't leave money or possessions to people who are already dead.
Brahms was given a headstone, everyone in the nearby towns believes that he's dead, and the Heelshires likely had a funeral, so as far as everyone else is concerned, Brahms isn't alive. Thus, it's very likely that the government is under that same assumption, meaning that Brahms wouldn't be in the Heelshire's will by default. (Now this would be different if he was thought to have died recently, or if Brahms had kids of his own, but since he was thought to have died when he was eight and is twenty-eight in the movie, both of those things are impossible.)
If anything, I feel like the Heelshires may have left their money to Greta, since they assumed she'd be taking care of him from then on?
If we're going with that, that leaves Greta with an unknown amount of money (Though likely a lot), a manor, one less crazy ex-boyfriend to worry about, and Malcolm by the end of the movie.
Brahms isn't rich. Hell, Brahms is pretty much two steps away from homeless, really. After all, the manor is either in Greta's name now, or its just sitting there, so it could be repossessed and resold at any time.
Honestly, that just makes the entire situation for him worse. One moment, you're banished to the walls of your house for years on end after being accused of killing your one friend, the next, your stabbed, abandoned, and left to fend for yourself without any resources while being legally dead.
It's kind of tragic. Especially if you read his backstory as sympathetic like I did. Damn.
I’m reblogging this because I’ve added a transcript of the comment for those who don’t want to or can’t read it on the screenshot. Wasn’t thinking about that when I made the initial post, oops. It’s under a drop down though, because I don’t want it to clog.

Saw your answer to the Bucky and Loki bingo and also saw an old post about a couple bingo (this one). So what are your thoughts in Bucky and Loki as romantic partners?
...Nah.
I can only see the two being platonic, tbh. It's like Stephen x Loki, it doesn't make sense to me and feels a bit forced, ngl.
About character bingo, Loki and Bucky?
I'm going to assume this is MCU Loki and Bucky we're talking about, but feel free to send another ask if you have another version of them in mind.
"I'll write a small word vomit thing about them." *Proceeds to write four paragraphs.*
Bucky showed up in the MCU first, so he's first here, too. Bucky Buchanan Barnes, huh? I'll admit, in the first Captain America movie, I didn't really have much in way of opinion about him. I was in the 'they sure do exist' camp. Didn't give him much thought.
That did change, however, when he returned as the Winter Soldier. He was terrifying in Civil war, ngl. But I also thought he was kinda cool. After that, sitting on the movies for a while and rewatching them a few times, I grew a far stronger appreciation for the character. (Which was probably due to how young I was when I watched the movies initially, but let's ignore that-) Which makes the awful way the fandom and current writers treat and mischaracterize him even worse, tbh. But we're not talking about that right now-
Unrelated: Bucky gives me gender envy like mad. (I'm Boyflux, btw.)
I want to wrap him in a big fuzzy blanket and give him a hot cocoa, dude deserves some rest and tlc.
Comparing how I feel about Bucky to Loki is super unfair... to Bucky. Though honestly, it would be unfair to all Marvel characters, since Loki is my favorite. (*Insert people rolling their eyes because me liking a character that's 'popular' makes me annoying/cringe, apparently.*)
Fun fact: Loki is actually one of the first Marvel characters I was ever introduced to. Though, granted, it wasn't MCU Loki. I'm constantly rotating them in my mind like Banana.mp4 (Rotat e). I can also relate to them on a scarily close level. Like jeez, my older sibling was kicked out right before I learned about my bloody heritage from my father, too, da fuq?
Loki in the MCU is probably the most mis-characterized, and the most unabashedly hated and poorly handled character by the writers in the later phases. Which sucks, because his attempts to prove himself and feeling unworthy are exactly what made them so interesting. But it seems the writers like to mis-characterize him as being arrogant and self-centred, when they're actually the opposite in every movie before Ragnarok. *sigh*
He deserves a break, too, tbh. They both need some tlc stat.
...Y'know, they really missed an opportunity by never letting these two meet. But then again, the MCU has/had a problem with casual interactions. (I mean, Thor and Natasha barely interacted in any of the movies despite being on the same team.)
I wanna do this, too! Send an ask with a character from one of my fandoms (And the words ‘character bingo’ or something similar so I know) and I’ll do one for them, lol.

No doubt, one of my favorite things about ‘The Boy (2016)’ was how much of it was left up to your imagination and interpretation. (Death of the author, ofc. Only keeping the movie itself in mind.)
We got almost no concrete proof for anything the movie tells us about Brahms’ backstory, and what we do know can lead to multiple conclusions about the character.
The whole ‘he killed Emily’ thing, for instance. This is something we’re told by Malcom, who prefaces what he says by directly mentioning that this is town gossip. Which is untrue or, at best, only half-true. (Take it from someone who’s lived in a small town and had gossip and rumors spread about me and my loved ones, they’re usually spread with very little of the original context and, usually, turns into ‘I think this happened’ instead of facts, or ends up being a giant game of telephone... or both.) We get a picture of a girl, showing that there was, in fact, an ‘Emily’ that Brahms knew, but other than that, we get nothing.
For all we know, Emily could’ve fell and hit her head on a rock, and people started blaming Brahms for it. There’s no concrete evidence proving it either way, and I love it.
We don’t even know that much about Brahms, really. He’s a craftsman (As seen in the ending scene.), he makes traps (The rat traps everywhere with his initials.), he can make a sandwich, he enjoys having a set schedule, and he can’t live by himself (At least, as far as we know.). ...That’s really all we know besides him being forced into the walls by his parents and being twenty-eight in the film. We also hear that he was apparently ‘Odd’, which, considering his clearly snooty-ish upbringing, could mean a lot of things.
Why is he acting like a kid? It could be a manipulation tactic, it could be a sign of mental illness, or it could be a coping mechanism. Again, it's up to your interpretation.
Personally, I see all this and think: "He’s a traumatized man who’s possibly autistic (Schedule, traps may be a special interest, can’t properly live by himself, etc.), falsely rumored to have murdered his one friend, burned in a fire set by his (possibly ableist) parents, and was gaslit and manipulated into thinking Emily’s death really was his fault."
But that’s just how I see it, of course. I imagine there could be many ways someone could interpret the film. (For instance, my sister watched it and came out the other side with: ‘he’s guilty, creepy, and severely in need of psychological help’.) and that’s great, I love it!
I wish more ‘horror-ish’ movies did this. Most present horror is jump scares and gore with little to no substance, and while I enjoy a bit of gore here and there, it can be pretty tiring. (Aka: Why I loved ‘The Collector’ but disliked its sequel ‘The Collection’, lol.)
Me, watching the first three episodes: “Wow, the way they’re writing this ‘Terry’ guy can be a little annoying. I don’t think I’m going to like his character very much.”
*Episode 4 happens, Terry has the ‘get a grip’ conversation*
Me: *Raises eyebrow* Go on.
Terry, later: “Everyone saw me as a doe, but I knew I was a buck.” “I chose my name.”
Me, immediately:
Natasha was a killer and tried to kill a child, Clint was a killer and murdered many people when his family was dead, Wanda brainwashed avengers, sent Hulk to a city full of innocent people, enslaved a city with population over 3000+ and tortured them, refused to let them go and tried to kill a child, Thor was the guy who tried to commit genocide after being called "a princess", Mobius worked on organization who tortured and killed innocent people AND tortured and killed them himself with a smile, Valkyrie has been enslaving people and selling them to Grandmaster for at least thousand years, Tony created Ultron and MANY other villains because of his irresponsibility, Thanos commited a bunch of genocides, tortured and mind controlled people, including his "kids", Odin conquered nine realms, turned his children into instruments and punished them for disobeying, Sylvie burned brainwashed people alive and killed innocent security guards with a smile on her face and before killing Kang looked into his eyes and asked him if he wants to beg for his life.
MCU and it's stans: They are heroes, Odin is a good dad, Thanos was right, Wanda has trauma.
Bucky killing people because of being controlled and feeling guilty for it, apologizing to his victim's families, Loki being tortured and mind controlled during NYC and resisting against Thanos's orders, ending with kill count of 74, being responsible for one crime aka Jotunheim, and sacrificing himself almost every movie
MCU and their stans: they are RESPONSIBLE! BUCKY CAN'T HIDE BEHIND THE LACK OF CONTROL! LOKI IS A CARELESS NARCISSIST AND AN IRREDEEMABLE VILLAIN WHO DESERVES BEING TORTURED!
Me:
I’m mostly going off of vibe here. (Note: By ‘Supernatural’ I mean things like ghosts.) Characters who believe in the Supernatural: Loki, Thor, Everyone on Asgard, Peter Parker, Gamora, Hulk, Bucky, T’challa, Scott, Wanda, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, Jake Lockley, Groot, Mantis, Darcy Lewis, Drax, Ned Leeds, Eddie Brock, Wade Wilson, Wong
Characters who are undecided on the Supernatural: Vision, Bruce Banner, Steve, Natasha, Clint, Pietro, Rocket, Sam Wilson, James Rhodes, Carol Danvers, Nick Fury, Jane Foster, Phil Coulson, Yelena, MJ, Venom, Stephen Strange
Characters who don’t believe in the Supernatural: Tony Stark, Hank Pym, Peter Quill, Nebula, Peggy Carter, Shuri?,
I wrote this on Twitter and it got long:
They really hated how #Loki represented the outcasts and thus had to change him to be relatable to mainstream people instead. Strip him of everything that made him unique and punish him thoroughly in the process.
They hate us so much, they couldn't let us have one badass character we could relate to. If marginalized people feel represented, or worse empowered, by such a character, it has to be destroyed.
Just like the bullies on the schoolyard tried to beat us into normalcy, the bigots in the entertainment industry forcefully strips our beloved character of everything that made him special, everything that made him one of us.
Fuck you! We still have the original MCU Loki, and we don't forget. Some of us weren't broken by you mainstream oppression machine; we resisted on that schoolyard and we resist now.
We won't disappear because you take away our #representation. People who don't fit in will always exist; dandelions through the cracks of you asphalt, if you will. You can hurt us but you will never succeed in erasing us.
i am not a believer in fandom having an age limit but i DO believe that with age and experience you should at least try to develop the ability to Act Right on the internet. nothing wrong at all with being 30+ in fandom but by that point you should be mature enough to devote your fandom experience to just vibing and you definitely should not be devoting it to having shipping arguments with people half your age
Why is it every single character I find that seems neurodivergent is always specifically targeted by fans/critics/etc as being annoying?Especially so if they seem like they have ADHD and/or Autism especially?
You missed a few:
-People apologizing Tony for all the shit he pulled.
-Holding Thanos in higher regard than half the other characters despite him being arguably badly-written and doing horrible things to the other characters even before the snap.
-Completely missing Loki’s entire arc during the first two Thor movies and Avengers, and chalking them up as ‘just a narcissistic villain’.
MCU fans in a nutshell:
Apologizing anything Wanda ever did, even things she did when there was no influence on her.
Victim blaming Bucky and Loki for being controlled and tortured.
Apologizing Clint killing people after the death of his family.
Calling Zemo a villain for doing literally the same.
Smell the hypocrisy.
Infinity Train is getting removed from HBO Max and now CN deleted every video and mention of it off their social media.
I am livid.
Reblog this if you think Infinity Train deserves so much better.
Rob Zombie’s Halloween (2007) (Bloopers)
Not sure if these were already gifs here or not, but hey, they are now. I’ve never uploaded/made fan-gifs for this site before either, so if I did something wrong, please let me know, oops.
I’m bored, so if anyone wants to send me some [NON-PROSHIP] ships for this, feel free. (I’ll obviously only respond to ones from fandoms/involving characters that I’m familiar with, lol. Though, I’m familiar with quite a few fandoms/franchises not talked about yet on this blog, so, I guess just send what you think I might know?)
I just got ‘The liminal zone’! The Junji Ito book! I’m about to indulge myself in some horror manga, boys and ghouls! >:D
Idk if you've been given an answer yet but vox machina is the name of a dnd campaign from these folks called critical role! It's their first campaign specifically. If you like fantasy stuff at all, even if you're not sure about dnd, you should totally check it out. They have multiple campaigns, three long form ones and a few shorter ones, all set in the same universe: exandria! It's a lot of fun. I personally use them as podcasts and background noise c:
mm! Sounds pretty neat, actually. I might look into that.
I've never played DnD myself, but it sounds pretty fun from what I've heard, and I enjoy listening to people tell stories about their experiences playing, so it might be worth a look. Especially with the idea that they're all different stories in the same universe, that's certainly interesting.
Thank you!
What is Vox Machina and why am I suddenly seeing a bunch of random posts about it???
I’ve started taking suggestions for horror movies to watch, right?
Well, I’ve so far been suggested The Boy, House of Wax, Texas chainsaw (The 2003 remake), and House of 1000 corpses. I’ve gotten through all except the last one, which I just started watching.
... I am 33 minutes in. Since five minutes in, I became painfully aware of why people keep saying Rob Zombie’s movies are weird as shit.
For the first ten, I was asking myself if I really wanted to watch the rest. But y’know what? I am two-thirds of the way through, I might as well finish it.
If you have any suggestions for movies, I’ll gladly take a look, lol.
Every single time I read something with the lantern rings speaking, I always imagine the red and yellow rings sounding like the Mysterons from Captain Scarlet.
I have absolutely no idea why, that’s just the voice my mind gave to them.
And in case you don’t know what they sound like...
I’m honestly not a big fan of Cillian Murphy’s Scarecrow. Y’know, the one from The Dark Knight trilogy?
I dunno, he just didn’t strike me as THE Scarecrow. He seemed more like a copycat criminal mimicking Scarecrow? If that makes sense?
It seemed like one of those things where ‘the real’ Scarecrow would show up during an end credits scene and fear gas his pretender while proclaiming that Murphy’s Crane was a faker.
I don’t know why I feel that way about it. That version just rubbed me the wrong way, I guess?
Maybe its the actor? Don’t get me wrong, his performance was fine, but I don’t look at Murphy and think ‘Yeah, that’s Jonathan Crane’.
Slashers, I.E: Slasher movie villains. (Only certain ones though, some slashers I refuse to do out of personal discomfort and/or I haven’t seen their source yet.)
