I immediately decided to remind everyone of the Original Sexy Bowser Boogie. Five failed drafts and the discovery that there’s no such thing as Mario Mix 2 later, and here he is!)

A while back, I had the idea of Bleck’s crew being their own “Elite Four” (with Bleck as the champion) and decided to make the old-school sprites (based on the Gameboy Pokemon games) to match. Since then, I’ve decided to work through requests and my own whims to make a lot of other Paper Mario characters in this style. I’ve never really done pixel art, so it’s been a lot of fun and I’ve learned so much! But right now I’m going to rest on this series for now and move onto something else. Almost all of these fit within the size constraints of the original Pokemon sprites, but I wasn’t holding myself to the same standards on some of the earlier ones, so they might be a wee bit too wide or tall.
