Blazers with ripped jeans

Dark nail polish

Having a huge range of books outside of dark academic classics, but still including those classics if you have read them

Watching Dark Academic series and movies when you’re not feeling like reading

Taking your notes in colored pens or markers with the occasional use of a feather pen

Electric candles if you can’t use or don’t have real ones and wanna set the room with some lighting

Alternatively using fairy lights to accomplish the same thing

Being an info-junkie

Cape coats

Tons of old coffee or tea mugs with rings that you forgot about with the occasional left over energy drink can you could’ve sworn you threw out weeks ago

Dark Academia youtube channels about room decorating, fashion tips, or overall tips plus book and movie recommendations

Taking photos of your notes even on a zoom class to write down later

Doing your work at night in the dark with your only light being your computer screen and either candles or small lights until ungodly hours of the morning

Plastic skulls from the Halloween store are apart of your room decorations (only until you can get a real one)

Not being able to tell some days what kind of academia aesthetic you are

A lot of what you wanna do is dependent on what you feel like doing at that time

Having a chaotic or dark academia tumblr for when you can’t always live out your aesthetic in real life sometimes
