When is this boy and his siblings going to live in a better home?

I haven’t done a portrait in awhile and I’ve wanted to draw Rody since I saw the movie. So two birds, one stone sort of thing. It is rather difficult to turn a cartoon bird into something realistic but me and my near zero experience drawing birds did our best.

His smile widened at the class president's permission. “Great!” Rody hopped a few times, as if to warm up his legs, while he moved farther away from the edge to get some good running distance.

He was radiating confidence as he got into a running position, even though he hadn’t done this in a while. Rody trusted that his body would know what to do naturally after doing parkour for so many years.

And away he went, sprinting past the hero-in-training and launching himself off the edge of the building. It was nice to feel the wind rush against him like this again. After the hangtime over the large gap had ended, Rody’s feet hit the ground first as the rest of his body followed in a somersault-type roll. It was a hard landing due to the the distance of the jump, but it was a landing nonetheless.

     although rody was right in the fact that iida would save him if something were to happen to him in this session, iida was still worried that the jump was too much of a gap. 

          “yeah, but…” he would take a breath as he scanned the jump once more and shrugged his shoulders. “alright, if you think you can do it then go right ahead and i will be there to save you if anything happens.” his legs were itching to run anyway, but if rody thought he could do this, iida was going to let him. this was training after all, if they didn’t push themselves then what good would this be?

Izuku smiled at Rody. "It's okay! I believe you, Rody!" He chuckled a little. "I still think a six out of ten is really good even if Kacchan says otherwise."

He watched as her usual smile finally came back. It made him happy that he could cheer her up.

Rody couldn’t hold his own smile back as she spoke with more energy this time around. It seemed his words really did mean something to her. “There you go. That’s the mindset you should have.” He smiled bigger. “You’re exactly where you need to be to achieve the best version of yourself. It’s okay to have worries and doubts, but never forget that you will reach your end goal.”

He glanced at her fist before looking back at her, seeing the determination in her eyes. A small laugh came from him. He wasn’t used to the word ‘hero’ being directed towards him. “Yeah, you’re welcome. I’m glad I could help and thanks for... confiding in me.” It was usually hard for Rody to trust others so easily. Thus, it was nice to see that his friend trusted him enough to express her own worries to him.

Ochako's hands turned to fists at her sides, brows furrowing before she shut her eyes. Of course he was right but...it made her feel like...she wasn't enough. "I...can't even make the life of my parents easier. And I don't want to feel like...like I'm not a good heroine." She sighed and opened her eyes. "It's just...I've seen how fragile this whole world is and I wish I could do more, even if I can't do anything for myself."

She put on a sad smile. "I guess that's a silly thought, huh?"

Pino was fine after the shove, quickly flying up towards the roofs of the buildings they were running past. Pino got a whole birds-eye view of the chase now, still following her owner.

Rody couldn’t help but chuckle to himself as he heard the stranger come to the realization that he did, in fact, take her case. About time she realized.

“What can I say? Finders keepers!” He looked back with such a snarky grin, only for it to vanish when his eyes met her hands. 

She has a quirk? Fire related nonetheless. He put his focus back on the path in front of him; it would all be fine. He just had to lose her. Easy. Rody knew his home town better than her after all.

With that said, Rody made a swift left turn into a branching alleyway.

  Looked like those two were in a hurry or were running from something, either way it had caught Serena’s interest. When something caught her interest naturally she would want to investigate it to see what was going on there, turning back to see if anyone was following them before seeing if anyone was looking at her. Thankfully nobody was so just to be a little safe the girl flickered her wrist and made a cloud of smoke appear behind her before giving chase to the brunette and his feathered friend.   If someone was following then it may take a second to get through the smoke if they were looking but by then they would be long gone so it works out! Maybe she would even make her first friend here so Serena caught up to them with curious eyes. “So what’s got your feathers all ruffled to be in such a hurry?”

ooc - added a singing voice to the about page! Every time I listen to this person sing, I can hear Rody’s english voice honestly

"Gee, thanks. I don't really have a choice in what kinda quirk I get, ya know? At least I can choose to have a nicer personality." Hey, if the explosive blonde wanted to pick at him, Rody would meet him half-way.

"And it's not so bad. I can tell you what's actually annoying, though." Rody knew very well that he was treading dangerous ground by talking like this, but said it all with a smirk anyhow.
