Oliver Sears Gallery

Last night, I attended the opening of Claire Curneen and Keith Wilson’s joint exhibition at the Oliver Sears Gallery, 29 Molesworth St, Dub 2.. It was worth the effort. Loved Claire’s piece called ‘Rain’ and admired Keith’series of 30 small paintings  ‘Where The Light Falls’. Met both artists. They were very nice. Their exhibition will run until 3rd May. Classy.

Just Practising

I want to spend a few minutes practising some blogging.    Over the coming weeks, I hope to gain in confidence.    I need to become more familiar with using Tumblr.

Last night, I attended the opening of an art exhibition by the painter Donald Teskey and really enjoyed it.    I loved his change of subject matter from sea and landscapes to riverside scenes.    It was worth the effort going.

Donald Teskey’s exhibition will continue until 15th Mar 2018 at the Oliver Sears Gallery, 29 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2.

John Behan at Solomon

Tonight, I attended the packed opening of John Behan's exhibition 'Walking Into Eternity' at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe Street, Dublin 2 D02 T802. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Meeting John was a pleasure.

🗣👤👥🧟‍♂️🧟

My favourite sculpture, that I had managed to view, was 'Parkavera Oar Boat' 2024 due to its minimalist design. I also liked 'Van Gogh's Boots on Chair' 2024 and 'Van Gogh's Boots' 2024 because of their striking simplicity. 'The Citizen' was to me, the most humorous and likely artwork. John's exhibition will run until 16th Nov 2024. It was well worth the effort to attend.

Alice Maher at Kevin Kavanagh Gallery

Last night, I attended the opening of Alice Maher’s exhibition ‘Vox Materia’ at the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery. I loved the simplicity of her wood prints with their silhouette shapes on a white background. These prints matched well with her small sculptures laid out in a single row in a long cabinet. The opening was busy with a nice atmosphere. Her exhibition with continue at the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Chancery Lane, Dublin 8 until 22nd December 2018. Classy.
